If anyone has seen his shows in the last 15-years, you know that he never (or very rarely) even mentions the name 'Elvis' throughout his show. He prefers it to be all about him. Such as it is, I suggest he take off the wig, make-up, and costumes and try going it as Trent Carlini. My educated guess is that he would not get very far.

Carlini WAS a top ETA in his day - that's a fact. However, the thing that ultimately brought his downfall (to where he is currently doing track shows in a half filled casino lounge) is that he never displayed any on stage humility - which was a commendable trait of the real Elvis. On the contrary, Carlini always came off arrogant and self serving - as if he were trying desperately to better the man he was emulating.

TRENT does GREAT show, you have to realize when watching his show that it is of course a production show, with dancers(elvis had NONE)he has a VERY GOOD look, and polished moves, perfessional entertainer, NOW if you chose to compare to the REAL thing, then your missing the point, this IS a tribute show, just to bring back some great memories of the king, NOT to be just like him, no matter how ANY of the impersonaters try NO ONE will EVER be just like the king, NO ONE

TRENT is a GREAT performer, so is shawn klush, trent has his own style that brings across the elvis style, and a little bit of his own, in the moves ect,ect. shawn is more of an illusionist, that does everything by the book,moves ect ect, they both are FANTASTIC entertainers, and bring back some good memories of the REAL DEAL, ELVIS PRESLEY,credit goes out to both for the GREAT memories they bring to the stage of the late ELVIS PRESLEY, god bless, him and the entertainer he was.

I saw Trent in April 2004 at The Riverside in Laughlin and he was great! He's got the moves, the eyes,the sex appeal, the body,the hair,the eyes,the talent,the vocals-he's got it-not to mention knowing how to connect with the fans. Trent cannot be the best - Klush is. That was decisive, both from the judges and the audience. Nothing was rigged, nor staged - it was obvious who the winner was. Up-close, Trent is a shocker, and hisn vocals need a lot of work. And wigs never look good, no matter how much money you spend on them. If his staure was as big as his ego, he may have a chance. But there are clearly better ETA's, and time shall mprove this, as it already is starting to.

I look at this video of Trent Carlini and then I look at the one from Next Best Thing you can't help see that he's been under the knife. Some guys look like Elvis for a period of time but like everyone else, features change and they have to try to turn back time. I saw him in Vegas in '04 and he sounds and looks better here than now.
