  • This is graet

  • it isnt discontinued..

  • why was this car discontinued?

  • @cookie1749 because it is not a very good car at all. fairly good looks but unless you are a headless person or under 5'3" tall you will break your neck trying to see traffic lights. the interior is very VERY cheap. and seats are a bit on the firm side. Good notes it does have superb fuel economy. but that isn't enough to have kept it up. and @hehh543 it is discontinued. and i can confirm all this info because I do in fact own one. had my door handle break off as well cheap plastic.

  • @DarkPrince080 Okay, thanks for telling me.

  • I totalled a 2000 Mazda 626 and realized how lucky I was, rented one of these, and fell in love. I'm a mother of 2 and loooove the throw back to the 1949 CHEVY SUBURBAN as well as the kind of room my HHR has.

  • Wow you people surprise the heck out of me. These accidents you describe are actually very serious accidents... You're all alive aren't you? Did you break any bones? Look at the same test results with, say, a standard passenger sedan. I can GUARANTEE you wouldn't walk away in the same situation. Also, you can't roll an HHR with a frontal impact. That would be a front-side (at an angle) impact, as if you're turning and get "tboned."

  • This is BS! I had a frontal impact in chevy HHR, and no broken bones, but my right knee has a torn meniscus, my middle to upper back is in constant pain, my right arm loses feeling about once an hour, my neck movements are very limited! DON'T BUY THIS CAR!!!!

  • @ashmash100287 My accident was on Christmas of 2011

  • @ashmash100287 oh yeah, doing 17mph in the snow

  • @ashmash100287 You would have likely suffered similar injuries in any other car. My cousin had two broken knees, two broken ribs, and a broken clavicle when she had a low speed frontal impact in her Accord, and two years later she continues to have neck and back pain and movement problems, so consider yourself lucky. Frontal impacts can be very violent, even at low speeds.

  • the 2005-present Chevrolet HHR is assembled in

    Ramos Arizpe, Mexico

  • yuppies? lol ppl crack my shit up.

  • Isnt this a PT cruiser knock off or something?

  • @MSNIMSM it was designed by the same guy, that's why they look so similar. GM hired him to make a car that could compete and beat the PT Cruiser, and personally i think they succeeded. my HHR is so much more reliable, sensible, comfortable, useful, and better looking than the PT, no offense to PT owners. my uncle's PT is uncomfortable and offers little space, but that's my personal thought. :)

  • @ZeroGal5 I think thier both ugly. HHR's are driven by people trying to be yuppies and PT cruisers are driven by preppy older women.

  • @MSNIMSM everyone's entitled to their own opinions. :) wow, so you think i'm a wanna be yuppie? gee, thanks, lol.

  • @ZeroGal5 Thats how I see things 'round my neck of the woods. Sorry. lol

  • @MSNIMSM that's fine, that's your opinion. no hard feelings. :)

  • @ZeroGal5 Finally some one that dont nerd rage if I say thier favorite car is not my favorite. Thanks! :D

  • @MSNIMSM no problem! :)

  • Well thank goodness! Ill feel safe in this car! picking mine up tomorrow

  • We got rearended in this car a day ago no airbags blew up the lady hit us at 45-50mph and the fucking bumper fell off, suprised the glass dind blow up

  • fuck this car my mom got into a crash today with this piece of shit.when a car ran a red light and hit the front of the car at 30 to 50 mph and the car rolled twice and landed on its side. thank god no one was in the passenger side because it was so fucked up. thank god my moms alive, but now her back hurts alot now.

  • @3litekilla23 lol it was probably your moms fault!

  • @TheOfficialDivo28 no someone ran a red light dip shit

  • @3litekilla23 how big was the car that hit the HHR? you must remember that the HHR is a C segment vehicle (the same size as a cobalt) and it'd make sense that it'd behave in such a way if it was hit by a heavier vehicle. to be honest, if your mom was in any other vehicle it'd could've been much worse. i hope she is well and the she is back on her feet. :)

  • I dont like the way this car looks anyway.

  • Last winter I wrote one of these off..... in a 30 KM/HR HIT!!!! I hit the other car in the dead center of the nose with the back corner of an Accord.... Bend my frame in so it was touching! My family and friends will never buy a piece of crap car like this again!

  • My parents have 2 of these....ours is a Pt Cruiser, I think i'd be safer though...did you see the door come part way open?

  • Why don't they have a hirer rating than 'good'. I mean what if cars perform better than this? they should be given merit for it.

  • they do- top safety pick :)

  • cool, thanks.

  • higher***

  • They award Gold, Silver, and Bronze to the best cars in each vehicle class.

  • they never had bronze as far as i know

when they just introduced the TSP award, it had two levels - silver and gold

now, it's been toughened, no silver TSP

  • not anymore

  • Yikes.

  • it performs quite well in this test you know

i only don't like the flexing of the door

  • But its ugly, and the crash doesn't make t any better.
