1st concert I went to was Neil Sedaka in Tokyo, 1959 or 60. Our Teen Club from Washington Heights took us. The proper Japanese teens sat and claped quietly with the music, we jumped up, rocked and rolled, embarassed the Japanese to no end. The news papers clamored about our riotous ways, we loved it. We got to back stage and meet Neil and his brother. Neil was surprised to see so many American kids. He was very nice and we loved seeing him. Shamasdog
