@GUNSFOREVER1 thats why I like the urathane 1 better. Lighter than cermic. can't stop ap rounds but many many rounds of 308. armor mobility's level III can stop green tip 556 and 308 and can absorb a whole mag where when the ceremics shatter you're screwed because even the shattered ceremics could go through you.
@marktse Well it doesn't matter. The quick release design is made to drop the plate carriers anyways. I guess it's not as good with Ceramic plates then.
@GUNSFOREVER1 well you're supposed to take your armor on and off by velcro. the drop design is for emergencies. takes a bit of effort to weave it through again. Its for the flight scenario when you need to lighten your load. but more than likely when you have already compromised your plates and you need to drop it so the medic can stick on the asherman chest seal and get your blood pressure back up.
seems like they moved that chest peice forward so if a round strikes there you receives very little trauma because the vest isnt pounding into your chest
A vest wont work as well without direct contact to a compressable surface, like a human chest, so keeping the plate further away doesnt do any good. o unless you have lvl 4 armor.
the best flack jacket i've seen is sold at a local T.A.G. store. its made by TAG but its not on their online store its called the sniper mtv or something. it basically looks like the spartanII bu the shoulder area thin on top an kinda rounded out around the pits. you can reach aross your body easily
Never gonna be standard issue, too specialized. Maybe SF will get some, but theyre using the CIRAS and LBE and basicly whatever the hell they want now lol.

that vest that Crye precision made is to Bulky , way to bulky any other system will beat this system

Not just that, it makes crawling impossible.
I would prefer a normal bullet proof vest and a tactical vest over it.
