ok i was agreeing with everything until you brought up abortion & capitalism, indeed we should be united but dude we won't get the orangemen to agree to anything Ireland will be one when they're gone let's face it, it will be but if we get rid of capitalism what do you suspect we get? democracy, facism, communism? if i recall capitalism made our country get back together, yes everything is over priced no doubt but we needed capitalism if we didn't have it we'd still be going through the famine
When Ireland is one, the social identity of 'orangism' will no longer be necessary, nr will the nationalist identity. It is partition which creates these.
For socialism to succeed there needs to be unity. Unity cannot occur while partition exists. Republicanism without socialism is pointless.
If we remove capitalism we get socialism. Fascism is capitalism, what you call "democracy" is capitalism, and I suspect what you call "communism" is capitalism also.
Agreed in all cases, awesome video! Oh I love the Irish and their ongoing struggle and will to fight! Solidary greetings from Germany and keep it up, mates!
brilliant, god bless your brave fallen volunteers. very well put together piece but whats the craic with criminality in dublin. how can ya liberate the workin class when yis are hangin round with drug dealers. why dont you use your weaponary to defend protesters at rossport and tara etc.
About the criminality. Obviously the RSM are totally opposed to drugs. But within any organisation, and especially one which must work covertly, you will get bad apples. As in with the Gardai and Irish Army, if a member is found involved in drugs, is the Gardai and Irish Army totally discredited? - I wouldnt think so.
Also, there is NO proof what-so-ever to suggest any members of the INLA are involved in drug dealing.
The RSM have no way to get their views to people, have no way to counter lies and respond to any accusations. People only hear one side of the story, which is heavily biased.
----------------------
As for using the weaponry. The RSM are trying to move in a political direction. Armed struggle has failed for the time being and the INLA are on ceasefire.
The Rossport campaign and tara wouldnt appreciate someone 'hijacking' their struggle by using force.
I agree with must of the things the video proclaims. But pls, stop with the flags, the uniforms and the marching. That stuff is just a waste of time, dehumanizing and symbolizes militarism and submission to authority in my view.
Well it is within the context of IRSP ideology. The IRSP is Leninist. It maintains an internal hierarchy, and authority. The IRSP also has a military wing, which is what you see in the video. In that sense, it is appropriate to them.
Besides, I think it adds character to the IRSP - also, if you search on youtube, you will find that it is very benificial to the community, taking lots of youth off the streets to learn musical instruments and make them feel appart of something.
I am not a member of the party, and would consider myself a libertarian Marxist - and I agree, militarism is counterproductive - but thats them, and their tradition.
ok! thanks for the answer. I thought you were a part of the party, sry. And i didn't know they were Leninist, that explains the authoritarian aspects :). I'd say I'm personally more leaning towards libertarian socialism. Nothing against Marx rly, but i do find his theories a bit too simplistic. Gramsci did some nice afterwork on Marx's stuff, you heard about him?
lol i didnt think of it like that : ) thank you! I guess your right not all motivation is so selfish... Now that i think of it , it would even be in the best interests of a selfish person to do what is right for the whole instead of for just himself. Thank you for your insight
Well im glad you understood what I said in some way, as I think I was abit confrontational with you there, unnecessarily, I apologise.
Its a common misconception, and generally a myth, or even a hyperbole, that people would be greedy and selfish. True, it happens, but only under certain conditions, such as shortage and uncertainty about the future.
lol awesome! Yah i think your right.. Theres a book i ment to read called The Phycology of Facism which apperently describes a lot of stuff like that. lol dont apoligize ! how else do we find the truth? Smart people are hard to come by these days hehe
Good video. Yet you include INLA logos and CIRA, RIRA or INLA pictures in your video and yet do not say you are 'alleid' or are in support of the Provo's.
Personally I'm all in favour of the Provo's and don't even believe abortion should exist. Merely due to these main factors I will not join the IRSM. Please post me a comment back, you seem an inteligent person.
The provisionatl republican movement was not mentioned in the video as it was not on the agenda, rather, a brief outline of the ideology and principles of the IRSM.
The IRSM is a completely separate than that of the PRM. The IRSM is not allied or in support of the PRM. The PRM have 'sold out' the republican cause in so many ways.
All pictures in the vid are of the IRSM. You should be informed on both sides of the abortion debate - I dont consider it a major issue myself.
You do relise that when everyone is paid the same there is no incentive for further study at univercity or school... Why be a laywer or a leader when you can be a cleaner and make that same money. Or do the people get paid accordingly... According to class maybe.. lol sorry im just mean
Thanks for the comment. I suppose what you are saying is written in stone someplace, if so, please tell me where.
There is no "pay" in socialism. Capital is abolished.
Material gain is not the only motivating factor for work or education - thats common knowledge. Though capitalism does well to promote material gain over other motivational forces, suppressing and restricting their capabilities too.
"There is no "pay" in socialism. Capital is abolished" - RedMilitant You mean it is owned by the ruling class, if not outright, then by laws governing it. "Capital" is "the means of production". You post these responses and this video with your capital - your computer. Money only represents capital - it is not capital itself.
"and socialism is where capital is used to increase the capital of other people."
I myself do not see capital existing in a socialist system. Also, I dont see it as "increasing" the capital of working people (as this can be achieved through reform and does not change the class status), but socialism as a revolutionary reorganisation of ownership and power within society - with the distinction betwwen socialism and communism being the existence of reactionary forces.
Hi, I think of socialism in a broader sense, that is, capitalism is the system where capital is used to take capital away from others and socialism is where capital is used to increase the capital of other people. Economic, knowledge, skill, rank and social connections form all social actions and classes and its the underlining source of oppression.
Great video!

Capitalism did get Ireland out of a famine.
People create wealth, people build roads, build houses, grow food.
Capitalism does not do this, labour does it.
RedMilitant 3 years ago 4
You talk bollocks, although it's certainly not honest.
Capitalism has got us into the mess we're currently picking up the bill for, worldwide, not just limited to Ireland.

RedMilitant 3 years ago
The media rags print whatever the Gardai tell them. The Gardai are their 'source' of information, and whatever they say is Gospel.
7 members of the IRSP were arrested recently accused of 'plotting to kidknap' a Cork businessman.
The Gardai told the media Guns, balaclava's and tie clips were found, and that they were waiting outside the house.
The media had a field day
Reality:No guns were found. They are not being charged with any plot despite all the so-called evidence, but membership
RedMilitant 3 years ago
The media are part an parcel of the status quo. Any organistion which attempts to subvert the state will be slandered.
They did it with james Connolly and the Easter Rising. They did it with Jim Larken, saying he was making money from the general strike.
There is probably some truth in what they say, but MOST of it is pure crap, speculation, Gardai sourced and totally inaccurate.

From a personal capacity (and someone who is not a member of the organisation), armed action against the shell facility could be constructive.
