Second, I believe that the immigration process should be streamlined. I also believe that we should make it a lot easier to get a work visa. Lastly, we have laws, just like Mexico does and we expect people that live here or visit here to abide by those laws or don't bother coming here.

Retinal scan, fingerprint, check against FBI, CIA and Interpol databases, then contact their local law enforcement office to make sure that they are not a local thug or criminal then issue a work visa. However if you want to become a citizen, god bless you but that should be an education process. Learn the language and the history of our country.

I think more migrants would be happy to be legalize and learn english, learn the laws, the history, and the vast culture of American society if they knew thet had a way to do it. Right now they can't so why would they spend that extra effort. If they had a way to contribute more to the country, they would. Second, I believe that the immigration process should be streamlined. I also believe that we should make it a lot easier to get a work visa. Lastly, we have laws, just like Mexico does and we expect people that live here or visit here to abide by those laws or don't bother coming here.

@sycho007 We need to make the process for obtaining a work visa easier. A two or three day process. Retinal scan, fingerprint, check against FBI, CIA and Interpol databases, then contact their local law enforcement office to make sure that they are not a local thug or criminal then issue a work visa. However if you want to become a citizen, god bless you but that should be an education process. Learn the language and the history of our country.

Fences wont work? well you're right, the kind of crackerjack fence the US is constructing is ludicrous. Barbed wire or constantine(razor) wire wont work, you can throw acid on a wire fence and dissolve. Wall fences worked in biblical times in Troy and in East Berlin, why not on the Mexican border. Or how about the US starting a construction project to deepen the Rio Grande like at the Panama canal so that it would be more formidable to cross.

I agree with what you are saying. One issue, US has no official Language. So My guess is before we can ask people to speak English, we need a law about it. I know we need a language in this country that everyone can speak. A medium to understand and work together. As for illegals, yes the law needs to be upheld. I know that we need our low payed immigrants and we can't just deport them all! But that doesn't mean we have to give them a path to a citizenship for free!
One more thing, in my opinion the people who are here illegally and want to participate in the program, should not get a citizenship for at least 15-20 years!

I agree with almost everything he said! There are few thing I like to add.
1. If you have been in USA for more than 5 years you pay 5000$ fine!
2. If you have been in USA for more than 2 years but less than 5 years you pay 10 000$ fine!
3. If you have been in USA for less than 2 years but more than 6 months you pay 50 000$ fine.
4. If you have been in USA for less than 6 months you pay 100 000$ fine!
If not, get out!
