This movie getting as famous as it did is the equivalent of Dark Throne being advertised as the most evil sounding band ever...there are the few that would agree, and the rest would be like "WTF?" but that's why PA should've stayed indie, and that's also why Dark Throne isn't on warped tour. it only appeals to a small crowd, not everyone.

I think people think they have to jump a lot in order to call something scary. Finally a movie that doesn't rely on loud sounds to scare us.

I watched it at a friend's house during the day with 3 other friends and the whole time I was just like "Meh...why do people hype everything up so badly these days when shit clearly sucks.." and then a couple weeks later I was fuckin' bored as shit at 2 in the morning and decided to watch it again with my headphones on with bass boost, nearly shit myself just from the sounds, lol.
IMO: The scariest parts of the movie were when Katie gets possessed and stands by the bed for hours, and just seeing that time speed up and then slow down cause once it slows down you know something is about to happen and when something really freaky happens, you just can't imagine anything worse, but it does get worse. I just got done watching it and DAMN.

i saw the ending part... and people said that was the scariest part. it was kinda freaky... but not really all that bad. i guess this movie was just about suspense rather than ghosts popping out with bloody faces.

This was a good scary thriller movie.
The first 1/2 or 2/3 of the movie was boring but the last part was hella scary.
When i went to bed i kept imageing the girl standing by my bed watching me for hours.
I was so scared i didn't even look up.
It was a pretty good movie and i kinda liked the plot to some extent.
I think you should go see it.
AND REMEMBER
JUST BECAUSE YOU SAW IT IN A MOVIE DOESN'T MEAN ITS GOING TO HAPPEN TO YOU IN REAL LIFE NOW AFTER SO LONG YOU HAVE LIVED.

ahhh wow! this movie was scary, 2006 was the year i thought this "capturing" of the film i thought it was real, then i realized no but i thought it was funny in the beg. of the movie mika was funny ughh untill the movie progressed it got really terrifying, alot of suspension, you know it got good when the footprints came about and they found the long lost found picture from her early childhood that should of never had been there!!! i just finished watching paranormal activity with my friend. i thought that it was good but to a point. i didn't really find anything scary about it, just kind of erie. i also found it kind of boring bc if u narrowed down the movie to JUST the paranormal parts, then you would have a 10-15 minute movie. i didn't think that it was worth the money that we paid renting it.

If this movie scared you, you scare easily. For a low budget film, sure it turned out good. Infact it turned out great for how little money was spent. But scary no. And the ending was just plain bad.
