I'm getting an etherwave standard for xmas and i've ordered this module so thankyou Thomas so much for this great demo on settings and tones with the module installed.
I've just found another cool setting. Try the waveform set to full clockwise, and brightness at nearly four o'clock. Produces an interesting detuned organ effect.
Great video. Since I'm shopping for another theremin, this just might put me back in the standard Etherwave's seat. Having sold my E Pro, I have been debating on the Waveform Classic or going back to the Etherwave. Therry is a wizard at making things work.
@syzahgee Sorry to hear you had to sell the Epro. I think you'll enjoy the ESPE01 in a standard. I used a speaker from an RMS100 20watt amp. It's an 8 inch speaker. The amp is still in use as an amp head which is tucked away in the equipment rack near the theremin. Amp settings: Highs=1 or 2. Mids=5 or 6. Bass or lows=full. Vol=3ish. I also use a small tube preamp for warmth and preventing overdriving. Reverb is from my TC Helicon Voice-live harmonizer on bypass. Record on Zoom H4 recorder.
Fantastic demo Thomas. I too have been enjoying the module over the last two weeks and it really is a different instrument. I love the new sonorities and indeed I have found that I can tune it much more linearly than before. I'm glad you made this video to showcase what is possible. Perhaps Moog should contract Thierry to include this in their instruments!! Great work.
@jerrymartin79 Thank you. I'm glad you got the module too. I too hope Moog Music works with Thierry to include the module in future theremins. I look forward to seeing your videos with the new module. :)
How surprising to see you got one such a bass module too! Would love to have one too but I think this will be next year as I need to save some money first ;-) GREAT thing! Thorwald told me a while ago he's also quite happy with it! Keep on enjoying!
Yeh, you do have to play the lower notes a bit louder than the higher notes, but also, the gear I used to record with was set a bit lower so as not to overdrive when I went to play louder, ect. ;)
It's a flute! No... it's a clarinet! No... it's a tuba! Wait... still not right... geiger counter?... Hmm... It sounds cool. (I particularly liked the string and ... whatever the third one you put it on was.)

Amazing what just a little module can do! Opens the door for a lot more ranges and tones for just about everything. Enjoyed this video +1
