  • God this is when the show as good!!!

  • Ugh... Hurts so much losing a dog. A dog is the only thing in the world that will love you more than you love yourself. :'(

  • 1:21 Finn injects the air. hahahahaha sorry i can't help but notice since i work at a vet clinic.

  • Poor doggyyy! if that was my doggy, I would be crying soo loud and soo hard i would probably be choking.... I was crying during this soo much that my friend came in and asked me y i was crying and she watched this and she cried and it was like a freakin chain reaction...

  • i cry so much watching this!! i love greys anatomy

  • This scene has more emotion than all seasons put together!

  • oh this almost made me cry...its so touchy when he touches her hand and she pulls it away...:'((

  • I wanted her and Derek to get back together.

  • the thing is the dog is more a metaphore for the love between derek and meredith, which was clearly dying cause he decided to stay with addison.

  • This scene is so sad but its also kind of funny because they really got the dog for izzie :) I love when george said "Cujo got to go!" but I still do love how sad and sweet this scene is, it was like Doc was the only memory they had of their relationship together

  • I'm crying right now so sad

  • 1:44 breaks my heart EVERY time. :(

  • @Nikix16 i know! she is so amazing. i feel like she was really merideth for a second there. not ellen playing merr\ideth but really merideth.

  • Gosh, even if it has been some time now, I'm still so moved when I watch this scene... Ellen was so good in this scene.

  • I remember watching this scene... That's the first time that I cried when I saw Grey's Anatomy. It's so sad. Poor dog.

  • whos with who in this scene ?

  • OMG this scene was horrible to watch. teared up so bad :(

  • what season/ episode is this?

  • Season 2 episode 27 :)

  • This brings me to tears every time.

Ellen is such a fantastic actress

  • Its so sad..

  • this was so sad :( it hurts inside

  • i don't know if you guys notcied but they're mostly talking about themselves when they were together and not really about the dog....... ;P

  • lol yeah that's kinda how Grey's works? The cases are about them more than the actual patient.

  • This is by far the saddest part on Grey's Anatomy. Way worse than any of the human deaths.

  • why did they put the dog down??

  • he had cancer

  • aww T_T

  • So sad..its wierd i had my kitten pts and all i said to her was "its okay." there really isnt anything else u can say :(

  • i was like bawling my eyes out during this...

  • Omg you wern't the only one! I don't think I've ever gotten attached to a t.v dog like doc before! I couldn't stop crying!

  • i cried:(

  • people! she's crying because in reality she lost Derek, not dog! Did you see when Mer was touched dog, Derek touched her hand and she started crying

  • one other reason is because the dogs eyes closed and then he died

  • okay. now i'm crying too :(

    poor Doc.

"he was a good dog"-- i agree!

  • i miss doc....:( :(

  • one of my favourite sad scenes D:

  • oh my god, i'm crying :'(

  • i couldnt stop crying after i saw this :(

it reminded me of my dog :(

  • god I'm crying like a baby

  • this is very sad

  • i just saw this part for the first time and i am cryin like a baby! it bothers me more when animals are in pain or hurting or anything than humans!

  • same here.

  • I beleive that the reason this scene is so sad is not because a dog dies but because a huge part of their relationship was built on that dog. And the loss of the dog signified something far more than a dead canine.

  • i agree. i was waiting for someone too notice that.

  • i always have to cry when i see this scene :'( it's so sad..

  • This scene is so sad!!! Poor MerDer!

  • I love the moment 1.34...derek face's...

  • ME TOO!!!!

  • gah i LOVE the moment at 1:43. Sooo sad.

  • this was the hardest scene for me to watch. i have eight cats and my aunts dog died. he was hit by a car. it means so much to me because he was always there. i can't stand seeing an animal about to die; especially since my aunts cat had to be put to sleep. it's terrible to know they're about to die helplessly.

  • i cried much more when the dog dies than when denny died! i think thats because on tv you see death people all the time, especially in this tv show, but a dog..thats not always...and sooo sad

  • Actually I think "Doc" was a symbol of Derek and Meredith's relationship because Doc was something they shared, which is why Meredith is so emotional over it. "You can't just throw him away like a piece of garbage" She means that you can't just throw away our relationship. It's more about that then the dog. But still losing a pet is a big deal I'm sure I'd cry if it was my dog.

  • Thanks for grounding me to the subject... i get carried away. And you are right, about what the dog symbolizes. However this does not concern the majority of the people here (just read their comments "you see death people all the time, especially in this tv show, but a dog..thats not always...and sooo sad" i mean, c'mon!!). I understand loosing a pet can be a sad thing, but this is anthropomorphic extremeties!

  • ahhh god I cried so much when i saw this scene..i cried more on this scene than on the scene where denny died.

  • Me too :(

  • @HeadHighHeavyHeart I totally did too. But then again I usually feel like I like dogs more than actual humans at times. lol

  • :(

    Sad Scene
