  • What I love about this commercial is how patriotic it is. Back when people LOVED American even with all its differences and diversities....we were still the best nation in the world.

  • I remember Ramblin' Root Beer very well. I was either in late Junior High or early High school when it first came out. It was really good root beer and I wish they'd bring it back!

  • 0:26 fag alert.

(For a minute there, I thought I was watching a music video of Europe).

  • I call for a NATIONWIDE strike/work stoppage protesting all the discontinued soft drinks! Bring back Ramblin', bring back Crystal Pepsi!. C'mon America! Who is with me?

  • Ramblin...ok. Crystal Pepsi? I could take a bar of soap, drop it in a glass of pepsi..and voila, crystal pepsi.

  • I'm with you on Ramblin' but Crystal Pepsi, I gotta go with Pdasilva0324. Now how about Cherry 7up?

  • It's so weird to see a commercial you haven't seen since you were about five-and still remember it! I often can't remember where I put my car keys because my memory banks are stuffed with useless unused memories of 70s commercial jingles!

  • Great to see this commercial. I am in the middle of reading Charles Strouse's autobiography and he mentions not only writing the jingle for Ramblin' Root Beer but also coining the name "Ramblin'" when it was learned that there was a copyright problem during the recording session. Interesting to note that Charles Strouse ALSO wrote the music for ANNIE - so it is not a coincidence that ANNIE was the Broadway show chosen for the commercial! Very nice indeed! Thanks Mr. Strouse and YouTube!

  • too bad they dont make it (probably?) looks good

is it like Dad's root beer or something

  • i laughed when i watched it.. very nostalgic haha

  • I seem to remember drinking RAMBLIN Root Beer with my dad when I was about three or four years old, and I haven't even thought of it in years.

  • What do you mean "MORE ZESTY!"?

  • There were 30 minute version of the ad as well ending with a woman saying "Try new Sugar Free Ramblin' too!"

  • "Try Sugar Free Ramblin' too!"

  • Ramblin' Root Beer never made it to Chicago although the Chicago market had mostly in vending machines the Coca-Cola made Fanta Root Beer.

  • And in the 1990's Coca-Cola acquired Barq's Root Beer and discontinued Ramblin' Root Beer and Fanta Root Beer.
