I have always been one of those people who is open to correction, and even when it makes me mad, I try to understand where they are coming from. I think it is much better to learn from someone else's mistakes. To try and learn everything on your own makes you a fool.

But every time I try to correct someone else I'm always met by hostility and claims of being "judgmental" and "holier than thou." It is really depressing.

you don't hear messages like this very often! thanks for sharing. accepting correction is H-A-R-D. but it is something we need to do, and with grace!
