This has been sitting empty for two years because it was built without a contract and cannot secure one. It is not a max security operation either, part of the problem with filling it. Its actually rather sad. They invested a TON. Look it up on the Billings Gazette online. Those of us who live here have been watching this story for years. Its ridiculous. This is not a fema prison facility, its just an idiotic move on the part of hardin.

The only reason that this looks different from any other prison facility is that its empty. It sits empty while most prisons are bursting at the seams with non violent offenders. O.K., yes there are many people that belong in prison, but ya get what I mean.

How about it is simply a prison built without much thought behind how thery were going to get prisoners to fill it? CCA is the largest proveders of private prisons. My son is in one right now. Really nothing scry about it. the only reason they can't have DOC prisoners is because they failed to construct the prison to the appropriate specifications all prisons have to mee. Why not just bring the prison up to speed and house prisoners from Montana or even out of state prisoners??
