  • Takes in back in those creole day in New Orleans! We don't have music like this anymore. No one speak french anymore, Je m'ennuie de l'ancien temps français! =(

  • This is REAL music.

  • who would of ever though the voice behind the stray cats would still have it huh?

  • It's not as dead as disco, there's still swing revival going on

  • @sketchandobserve Yea in New Orleans, but it's not it use to be.

  • I wish modern clubs were like this, with all the swinging and jazz! these days all we do is listen to loud, pulsing music and jump up and down -_-

  • @GamerGirlPs3 Me too!

  • @GamerGirlPs3 i agree maybe this thot is the rebirth of something great ;)

  • @GamerGirlPs3 They're around, just have to find them.

  • Is the swing sub culture dead? Not seen any hep cats since the 90s.

  • (((THIS IS DANCIN'!!!))) WOOOO HOOOO.....

  • The VHS hooked up to a 8track receiver and giant speaker boxes sounds way better than this 21 century crape. Maybe its because I replace all the fuses with bolts, Making it a true 1800 watt system, and not some peace of crape!

  • Why?..... I say Why? is there not a Brian Setzer's Rockin New Years Bash? since Dicks not doing it

  • @rustkeeper he did it this year tho

  • @PremiumPeckage guess i didn't get the memo

  • I thought he was singing, "drunk driving, pay my bail...." lol

  • He is the MASTER of this genre of music!

  • This is Fuchin' MUSIC!

  • im seeing him perform on saturday!!! so excited!!! :D

  • Whenever I hear this song, I think of that Khakis commercial back in the 90s

  • IM DANCING TO THIS IN FOR DANCE!!!!!! IM SO CUNFUZED!!!!!!!!

  • He sure can play that Guitar......

  • awesome!!!

  • We're playing this in our jazz band in school and i was so happy when i found out we were playing it haha. this song is amazing

  • At 0:44, one of the dancers missed a big foot into a power bomb... She has some skills :P

  • before i thought the lyrics were dunk driver, and we really got a, drunk drive, and we really got a ............... i thought those were the lyrics

  • @MultiVideogamelover i did too! lmfao

  • thanks to @MultiVideogamelover, I can't unhear "drunk drive". I never heard it before that comment.

  • Awesome , man.. Just the way I wish this world was... Wailen..

  • ya i ges it is michael deluise my bad but they look so much alike lol

  • Wow i've loved this song for as long as i can remember and i just learned like 3 minutes ago that Brian Setzer from the Stray Cats (the band i love also) is the singer of this song!!! I can't believe it's him!

  • I used to always listen to this with my Grandfather :3

    I still have the CD~

  • this is probably one of the greatest music videos ever made.

  • This is one of my favorite videos on You Tube. Thank you so much for posting.

Terrific choreography and music; lots of energy and creativity. Wonderful.

  • I was obsessed with this song when I was little :3

  • love to swing dance to this haha

  • I love when people leave negative comments on something that has sold several MILLION COPIES! Fan or not maybe it's JERK!

  • @Ch0pj0b So, your argument is that if something sells millions of copies, that automatically makes it good music? By that logic, that would make Nickelback, ICP, Limp Bizkit and Justin Bieber better musicians than Brian Setzer because they've all sold millions more than he ever has. People can leave whatever negative comments they want. It's a free society and we're all entitled to our opinions.

  • @Skibz778 I personally do not like any of those groups! But, take the time to leave negative comments.Says something about there own personal deamons than the quality of the music they were listing to. Maybe if they left constructive criticism, but all was left was 'this is so bad. I don't like Nickelback, they sold millions of copies! Maybe it's ME! Hopefully one day certain people in society will learn that even that we are entitled to our own opinions that they don't need to share them

  • The line that goes "A woman is a woman and a man ain't nothing but a man" actually goes. " A woman is a woman and a man ain't nothing but a male." Rhymes with wail.

  • I wonder just how big a hit this was when it first dropped back in 1999. I would have been about 14 then.

  • I will never forget this music for as long as I live. Love it.

  • Sounds like a perfect song to jump jive and wail to on Friday or Saturday night. Agree?

  • It would be cool to see Brian on Dancing with the stars instead that stupid Justin Beaver!!

  • @Carrots43

I believe that Brian/orchestra was on DWTS-forgot what season he was on, but he peformed this song and the professionals were dancing as well!

  • love this! brings back memories from the 90's!

  • God I miss this song so fuckin' much.

  • Comment removed

  • this is so bad, and all of his songs sound exactly the same. that's a whole lot of albums full of bad.

  • I love this song and so many others from the same era.

My grandparents used to dance like this!

Many times, my grandfather's band would be playing at the dances they attended, so my grandmother danced with a family friend. I hadn't been born at the time, but they used to compete in ballroom and swing dancing competitions. I've only seen the photos, but the gang looked great! My grandfather had a couple of zoot (aka zuit) suits back then. :D

  • Need more!

  • I'd rather hear louis prima but this is ok also.

  • Those people can REALLY dance!!

  • 90s swing revival is good times

  • I hate how my generation cant appreciate real music like this..

  • That waitress sucks... or so I hear. What? She spilled those martinis!

  • I keep hearing people compare him to God but come on guys God isn't that good.

  • jenxthejinx.

  • You all think that this video is great, yeah? A cool idea, yeah? Wll whatcha said if I say that this video has a stolen idea from a Latvian musician Pete Anderson? that even have the same cam scenes and that video was done 1991 this is in 1999

  • Faked video

  • I wonder if those kids that says they like rock n' roll knows that this is what "they like"

  • the guy's old but still sexy as hell

  • What genre of music is this?

  • @superearthbender As originally done by Louis Jordan and covered by Louis Prima, this sort of arrangement was called "Rhythm and Blues" till the name took on a larger scope of music. You can call it "proto-Rock'n'roll" since that's how the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame views it.

  • @therealjoebloggs I always called it Swing or Big Band, but not always finding what I wanted made me doubt my original assumption. Thank you for the info, it's highly appreciated. ^.^

  • @therealjoebloggs Quite agree with you. You only have to follow the rythm section to see (to hear) tha it is pure Rock 'n' Roll.

    Cheers from Spain

  • @superearthbender SWING!

  • Setzer pays homage to Big Band here. Check out his work wih the Stray Cats if you wanna know what Rockabilly is, and you don't know who Roy Orbison is.

  • love it

  • I like Brian Setzers version of the 50's better where all races are included

  • "Ya gotta drunk drivin' then ya wail away. . ." I swear that's what he said!! LOL

  • He was the front man for the early 80's band "Strat Cats"!!

  • HE HAS SUCH GOOD TONE!!!!

  • when my dance class was using this song for tap, the whole class thought he was saying drunk driving whale

  • @13dancer4eva what is he saying?

  • @PunkThreads jump jive an' wail

  • @PunkThreads jump jive an' wail

  • If you can get your hands on the live performance of this song from his 2000 Japan tour, it will blow your socks off. That DVD is almost an hour and a half of virtuoso performances, including a section of trio work with him on guitar, Bernie Dressel on a drum set, and Mark Washington on slap bass.....freakin' outstanding!

  • Phenomenal guitarist. Great song and video.

  • @CoolToobmovie ya gotta drunk drive n then ya wail, ya gotta drunk drive and then ya wail lol

  • @nwilson59 lmao! XD

  • @CoolToobmovie LOL.....I cannot stop laughing now!!!!!

  • @CoolToobmovie , it's "jump jivin'" not "drunk drivin'"

  • @freeqwerqwer Well of course I realize that now. But I was talking about when I first heard this song when I was like 8 or 9.

  • first time listening to this song and its great. thumbs up

  • I wish Swing Revival caught on.

  • @clonecomanderfox It has, where ya' been hepcat?

  • @triplehelix13 I mean if it had become a huge hit, you know, the Pop Radio playing Swing, lounge clubs instead of Rave clubs ect.

  • Growing up with them in Massapequa in the late'70s early '80s were awesome days..All American Hamburger on Merrick Rd....THE hangout.Brian had a coral colored '57 Chevy that after awhile left a trail of blue smoke..who had money back then. One night the guys were playing at TK's in Amityville...the place was packed

and Brian was singing way to close to the mike..Every one was dancing and this guy backs right into the mike stand. SPLIT Brians lip open. Didn't even phase him.

    Kept right on singing

  • quite the underrated guitarist aint he? this is great.

  • I'm here to see Brian Setzer, I don't want to see adverts for Calvin Harris >.<

  • BRIAN SETZER IS A GUITAR GOD!!!! everything he touches is gold!!!

  • Me and my class danced to this(:

  • Those people can dance.

  • Great Dancing! Yes I think he looks like Paul of the Beatles

  • Growing up in Massapequa in the 70's and 80's and knowing the Cats.....who could want more. The best.

  • Good Stuff.

  • My daughter was severly burned at 16 moths and this song made her dance everytime even under Morphine!

  • ok 1:10

  • 1:12, awesome shot

  • are you people blind, it was definitely 1:12

  • it really bothers me that this is obviously a 50's inspired song, as you can see from mr. setzer's outfit and guitar, but everyone else is in 40's attire

  • @superhetoric Wouldn't say it's a 50's inspired song, atleast not late 50's. It's clearly got the swing-era feeling, by which I find that Brian is rather out of tune instead of the others...but it doesn't matter, he makes that up with his music :p

  • @superhetoric It's a cover of Louis Prima's "Jump Jive an' Wail", If you're gonna split hairs over the costume styling..then the pretty black chick would not be wearing such a super mini skirt. They took some liberty on it to make it look flashier.

  • If only they could ALL be like Brian.

    *sigh*

  • 1:02 could be one of the most awesome music video shots ever.

  • @Bradwaller27 imo :09 Was a way better shot.

  • aqui esta´ uma boa maneira de alegrar uma festa.viajem ou um bom acordar

  • i played this in band

  • Saw him do his Christmas special a few years ago in Redwood City, Ca. I had bought his Christmas DVD and when I heard he was going to perform had to go see him. Many of the songs on the DVD were performed at the show. And what a show!

Many years ago I had a chance to see the Stray Cats perform live in San Jose, but was not able to make it. The tickets were $5.00.

  • Haha my grandpa saw me watchin dis saw me tappin my feet snappin my fingers now he's pissed at me for lookin so kool

  • i remember when Brian Setzer was in the Stray Cats back in the early 80's.

  • Hey Setzer die hards! I wrote a Setzer tribute song (a la Gene & Eddie) called This Kitten is Smitten. In it, I reference 15 Setzer/Cats songs. How many can you find?

    youtube.com/watch?v=TJ3wMk8lQjQ

  • Pause @ 1:12 :)

  • Who says white guys can't dance?

  • The 50s. AKA: When it was ok for guys to throw girls around and for girls to let their skirts fly high.

  • @TheKCCrowe swing was in the 40's the 50's didn't come to be rock and roll until 1954,55' swing lasted till about that moment in time. and this music that your listening to is modern swing if you had grown up in the 50's you wouldn't have seen this much ass hanging out i promise you.

  • @mulder19x95 sorry lol! i don't know my times i guess... I just made myself look really stupid...

  • @TheKCCrowe your not stupid at all. Mark Twain once said "were all ignorant just in different subjects" so your not stupid at all. =D
