Now he say "Maki-chan, kawaiiyo. I love you". Maki-chan,itaiyo-! Inko-chan dayo." and combine Kawaii and I love you together and say "Kai-love you." He basically mix and sepak Japanese and English and Spanish all together :)

My parakeet was hand fed by human since he was born. I got him from a lady who hand fed him. He was 5 weeks old and I kept him in my pocket most of the day when he was a baby. I think younder the better to lean the language.

You keep talking to your parakeet the same word again and again. If your bird is a boy, he should be able to talk after a few days.

Hi, cute budgie! I was wondering, is yours a girl? I know her nose is pink but sometimes with the rarer kinds like recessive pied (yours looks like one) the boys have pink beaks too. I ask because I know its mostly the male budgies who talk and I just got a female budgie so I don't know whether she would ever be able to talk. Just curious, thanks!

Yes, he is a regular budgie but the color is a mix of white and blue. I added a new video as he learned a new words, such as "Maki-chan are you OK?" "What are you doing?" "What are you doing to me?" "Itaiyo- itai, itai" means "It hurts, ouchi, ouchi" in English. He picked it up as I said that when he bite me.

i noticed they learn words that are one sylable like what are you but find two sylable words harder like do-ing hur-ts. is he a lone budgie because they are much easier to get talking when it's just you and one budgie.

To answer the cere questions. Baby females have bright blue and when they become adults i turns brown.

Baby males have purpleish ceres and when they become adults they are blue.

Albinos are an acception, as they will always be purpleish.

Not so fast on the "it's a girl" comments. Budgies that are split albinos like this one clearly is could be a male. When they are albinos or splits they do not always have the blue coloration in the nose. Females rarely talk like this. I do not think this is a female myself.

i have been wondering about thati info. so if the cere is pink its a male. well its weird because when i got my budgie its cere was pink and when it got older its cere was like a blueish purple colour and im wondering y. im guess that my budgies a male but y is there the purple part on the cere?

I was told normally if the cere is pinkish, it is female, if cere is blue it is male. However white male parakeet has pink cere.

Our male bird Frosty is also a Recessive pied and has the same pink cere. He also has the black on black "Barney Rubble eyes". He babbles alot like your bird, he's 13 and we still get a good laugh every day. His sex has been verified by a DNA test. Your bird is adorable!

Thank you for the great information. I thought only baby/child parakeets have the black eyes and eventually all parakeets will show white around the iris. This is a good news as my bird gets to keep the baby face. He learns new words in a matter of few days and we are all amazed by the speed of his learning.

Your budgie is a "recessive pied"...I have one with a pink nose too, and I wasn't sure if he was male. Turns out pink noses for them are males :)

As far as I know, females always have brownish ceres.

A talking parakeet is definitely male. His nose is pink because his feathers are generally white. If his feathers were blue or green, his nose would be blue. By the way, he is very very very sweeeeeet!
