  • Wow...very cool...I grew up in Pleasant Bay!!

  • congrats on capturing another beautiful nova scotian sunset. I find few places better :) As for the ghost.... something else we have a lot of. rural areas here go back to the 1700's in some cases and ship wrecks dot our coast so it wouldn't surprise me that you saw one of our ghosts :) fantastic sunset

  • That's pretty awesome! Personally I believe in ghosts. I've had a few experiences as a child and as an adult that I can't explain. I think you caught something remarkable here!

  • Thanks Jennifer. Yeah, who knows what it is- I'm both skeptical AND open to anything.

Were they scary experiences? I don't get a creepy vibe from this- if anything, it's playful.

  • Well I'd say a little of both cuz like people there's bad souls and good ones. As a kid they were more scary but I think that's mainly cuz I didn't understand, but not so much anymore. Although I do get a scary one here and there. I figure if they don't mess with me, I have no problem with them following me.

As a child I remember seeing my grandmother the night she died. We were really close and I fell asleep infront of the tv and had a dream about her telling me she had died and oddly

  • woke to my dad telling me she had died. I think it was her way of telling me she was ok. I too get a playful feeling from this. I'm really into graveyards so that would be a play ground for me lol.

  • Hey Syd,

I get a lot of calm from watching your videos :) Thanks.

  • Your username calms me :o)

  • Ok ... now seeing this video... make so much more sence .. I was confused with the still shots and 5 sec images on the other place...

Not only did you got to the graveyard... YOU"RE FLANKED by them... Fear Chronicles My ARSE !!

OK don't think Im all weird .. I don't believe in "GHOSTS" however I have this whole thing about energy doesn't stop, it just moves on... and well we as humans are just one big battery..

    cont... lol

  • I was about to mail me smudge stick .. good thing you said you'te not feeling the negative.. tis a maybe a good thing NO ?

Anyways... I still say .. HOLY SHIT ON THE SHOT !!!

    and lastly finally ...

Save that there brochure ... I just may want to wright a book one day .. Hey it could happen.. you never know..

Oh.. and If you still frame it .. I think I see CHIG in a white nightie .. and you know he aint pure .. so yeah how many did you take and what color were they ;-P

  • Dan, you should go check out the ARK and see all the visual "proof" of what it was...hilarious

  • Members of the ARK have taken to provide their own proof...you should check it out for a good laugh

  • It would appear it down for maintenance...LMMFAO...

    Damn Universe !!

    I can imagine though !

  • Wonderful video!

  • Thank you!

  • Awesome Video! I missed you!

  • Aw, thanks Christine.

  • Are you going to have this analyzed further? Maybe it's a ghost who wants to try out for 'Nova Scotia Idol'? (silly am I)

  • Hehe.

I'm thinking about it. I'm most likely going to look online for a place to submit it.

  • You had me on the edge of my seat the entire video. Bravo Bravo one of your best .

  • Hey Thanks Jose!

  • it was really chig hiding in the shadow, watch out for him!

    great vid =]

  • Heh

    Thanks Amy :o)

  • you seen me naked at sunset again?! i told you dear i don't get much sun!

  • Elusive, you are. :o)

  • Syd you never fail to impress me - be it with things far more serious than this or light-hearted and funny. This is not creepy really. I long for a day when I can actually have an encounter like this. Although, bird, insect, leaf could have quickly flown by and be gone before you would have a chance to even glance it. But who cares, believe what it might be or could be. Something out there wanting to be seen and encountered and validated. Your brilliant delivery. Your my favorite!!

  • Aw Toni- you're a sweetie pie. Thanks for such a thoughtful comment. I'm open to it being anything, but the possibility of it being something out of the bounds of our reality makes me smile.

  • It was a lolcat chasing a cheezeburger?

Okay, seriously, I have no idea.

I'm skeptical but not closed minded... and, yes, a sarcastic ass hole, but not the kind that would hoard cheezeburgerz.

That sunset is all kinds of gorgeous.

  • Dis kitteh luvs sarcazm

    en cheezeburgerz

    en Curt

  • maybe a piece of paper blew by.

  • Maybe so

    maybe not

    ;o)

  • That shot looks absolutely beautiful. Did you get it in HD?

  • I didn't. I should have. I will!

  • A blast from the Vloggerheads past here :)

If you only knew ... I'm not even supposed to be near cemeteries. Long story lol

Glad I caught this ... you have such an eye for nature's art and such an artistic knack for these amazing SydVids.

  • Thanks John!!

  • wow first of all you were right, that WAS a glorious sunset!! incredible!! and yikes!!!! that creepy stuff never happens to me either and I intent to leave it like that lol

  • I'm surprised by my reaction- I mean here I am in the middle of nowhere staying in a little trailer that's flanked by two old graveyards and there's no creep-factor at all. (Well, ok when I first came across it I did- it was late and very dark and windy outside) but now I'm like- YEAH!! I might've actually seen a ghost!

  • I'll bet it was Twinkie Jesus. Well it could be Twinkie Jesus..... Well maybe it wasn't him. Good to see you Syd. Wes

  • Wes, that's one I hadn't thought of. TwinkieJesus is quite the trickster.

He's sitting here with me now and he's wearing a Canadian sweater. I kid you not.

  • Spooky stuff.

I love the framing you did there. Perfect for a place that we go to at the sunset of our lives

Good to see you vlogging btw :)

  • Thanks Andy!

  • okay... dakota also stopped by to watch. They thought it was awesome. Dakota is now walking around like a zombie though.

  • LOL

  • here again to show Noel!

  • Love it, Syd. l love Nova Scotia, too. I hope you're having a great time there.

  • I am! Thanks so much Gert! It's one of those things I'm giving myself to be reborn again before school begins anew.

  • You are indeed a wise woman. I leave on Friday. The way I figure it, I'll be home about 3 weeks this summer.

  • NICE

  • very nice video love the sunset nice shot

  • Thank you- it was the most beautiful I'd ever seen!

  • Like how you did the vid, with you superimposed on the scenery - and then - whoosh! I can imagine your face when you first noticed it! lol

  • The minute I saw it on the computer, I knew I'd play it back and see something very strange.

When I slowed it down four times and was about to see it, I held my breath...

Well, I was really hoping for something other than just BLACKness. lol

  • I'm gonna do to you what I hate others to do to me: ask a completely unrelated question. Have you always lived in Nova Scotia??

  • Heh. No worries.

I'm here for the summer to work on some writing projects.

  • wow...thats pretty wild. :O

  • Gonna send it to GhostBusters!

  • awesome...i could share some stories...too cool. thanks for sharing this footage.

    *tori*

  • Why, you're most welcome Ms. ToriGal

  • Very coolsome!

  • Thanks Kim!

  • Interesting ★★★★★

  • Thanks once again.

He kind of looked like you- a relative perhaps...?

  • NOW, for the ghost stuff... SOOOOOOOO creepy and fun! You definitely caught something there. It was beautiful too. It's like giving the spirit it's truth.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Favored, of course.

  • I'm glad you saw the beauty in it!

I wanted to try to convey that even though the footage itself might be creepy.

    You're welcome.

    And thanks :o)

  • BRILLIANT! Okay, way too many things to say to you. Your creative mind is something I have always found stunning. I think you're one of the most creative people I have ever met in my life. With that said. Genius on the camera positioning. Just brilliant Syd! The sky looked inviting and surreal. It makes you want to swim in it. The colors! WOW!

Now, you're storytelling. I feel like a little kid who is having their parents read to them at night with baited breath. each word I clinge to.

  • M'gosh Gina- so gracious with your words. Coming from such a goddess, I can only blush and say thanks beautiful lady.

  • Wow! spooky! I was doing a project on blog tv yesterday following Sunrises and sunsets around the world Live! (GlobalSunrise) Coincidence? I think not! :)

I used to be very skeptical about ghosts and the like, but just recently I have had one too many things happen that cant be explained by science!

  • I've always been skeptical myself- still am, but this definitely adds to the lure of the mystery- more so when it happens to you.

I hear other people's encounters and I'm always thinking there's got to be something more to it that can be explained. But I'm 99% certain nothing visible passed in front of me during that time. So it makes me a tad bit open to the possibility.

  • I have come to the conclusion that there are things we cant explain, maybe one day we will but that doesn't mean what we cant explain dose not exist, nor dose the lack of an explanation mean that something is supernatural... Hell I still can't explain how I can drive 10 miles streaming video live to the internet on hsdpa and not lose my internet connection even though I must have switched between about 5 cell towers? But I can! LOL

  • The wind blew your sleeve in front of the camera.

  • Nope- I had a fleece jacket on- nothin' flappin' around.
