  • wow... now im going to hit my head with the keyboard and yell at myself for not being as good as him...adsjhufikljgdhbklfjadvbkljdvbklfdfhfj;jads;bnds;cbnj d;kl.... ok i'm back... wow... and the cycle starts again

  • This is fantastic playing. Outstanding, so clear, clean, precise and expressive. It is one of those performances that helps define great bass playing.

  • Anyone know what brand strings he uses?

  • Even though I played doublebass in a symphony orchestra many years ago, I never knew one could sound like this!! Excellent tone and pitch.

  • amazing, completely flawless intonation

  • This bass playing is outstanding

  • Buy and study his "School of Agility" method that he wrote after years of requests by his students. It is a marvelous way to increase your knowledge of the double bass fingerboard and fingering alternatives. Marvelous playing. His CD with his wife is amazing.

  • now that's playing from the TUMMY! lol

    Great!!!

  • increiblemente maravilloso..! you have a new fans!! :D

  • i just love this sound. when I started listening to the double bass i thought it sounded lik a cello. now i truely know this is so much more than just a heavy cello.

    i just love the sound!

  • I have never heard such beautiful vibrato....ever... and Ive studied the best.....wow...I need to practice...

  • @phenomenalmzlisa I know, you suck.

  • I had the opportunity of studying with Eugene summer of 85 in Aspen.

Yes, a difficult man and very demanding teacher,

but as a player, the best amongst the best.

    We love you Eugene!

  • Such beautiful vibrato.

  • oh man i love how he brings the repeated theme in the beggining an octave up

  • That's just how Bruch wrote it. The cello version (original) does the same thing. I agree that it's stylish, though. Really lets a person hear the range of the instrument, and I think it helps heighten the emotion of the piece.

  • bravo!! Ancore!

  • Gorgeous! Bravo! TY.

  • This is my teacher's teacher right here. Amazing tone. I've heard he's a brutal teacher, too.
