If you read more of the old testament you find out that God would destroy entire nations because of their disobedience, the great flood, sodom and gomorrah and so on. You need to look Roman Historians and you find many of them Non-christian historians of Jesus's time that told of Jesus and his walks. If some people are monogam and do not want to have sex outside marriage it is their problem. If people are discouraged to have it or even threatened, then the story is no fun any more.

Only "true believers" think that sex is a dirty thing and I think that any traces of Jesus having a wife (implicating that he had sex with her) would have been erased from the bible because a god can not possibly have had sex and enjoyed it. I think, the whole thing has something to do with taking symbolism literally:
The old egyptian god Osiris was born by a virgin on 25th of december, had 12 followers (the 12 signs of the zodiac), performed miracles and there were a lot of other "coincidences".

Sadly, we'll never really know what sort of man Jesus was beyond what the New Testament tells us. There are so few outside refrences to him. Makes me wish we could travel through time and observe moments like this.

I enjoy the logic that because early sources mention the wives of the Apostles but not their names, therefore they wouldn't have mentioned Jesus having a wife at all. That also doesn't explain the routinely positive examples of the women surrounding Jesus in the Gospels. Plus, the argument from what's normal for a Jewish man of the time falls flat when we're talking about a guy who thought he was the Messiah.

In the old testament, Before Jesus, In order to receive forgiveness from God blood had to be shed, a sacrifice. The fattest lamb was offered to God. If you read more of the old testament you find out that God would destroy entire nations because of their disobedience, the great flood, sodom and gomorrah and so on.
