The problem with education in the U.S. today is that parents are raising a generation of assholes who have no respect for the process of learning. Politicians won't say that because they will lose votes.

Kids in America are spoiled. If these kids would only come to a poorer country they'd see many kids can't even get an education because they can't afford it. High school education is seldom heard of in many places. Perhaps if the students could learn to respect the value of education, they could respect their teachers. If you don't like the quality of the school or class, then go to a private school. That would require some initiative and some money right? Private schools don't suspend you. They counsel you to behave, then pull your file and you are no longer a student. They can not jeopardize the other students or their staff.

I had her last year, and i know the person who is getting in trouble for making this video. I really think it is dumb that he is getting in trouble. ragskusa24, i love the video so much because of all the hype it has caused. it isn't even that bad, but when people act so angry about it they are forgetting one thing. They are just high school kids. We have all done something stupid when we were that age. We didn't know any better. People are too sensative. They got there punishment. If I were in their place I would be enjoying all the hate mail, they wanted a reaction.

They get annoyed by a teacher...or harrased by one (yes teachers can also be the bad guy) and how do they respond...with violence..or vandalism. This kid put his aggression into something creative, where noone was hurt (apart from some feelings...they mend.) You should be happy that he decided to use his negativity in a creative way and not destructive. Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture...teenagers are angry....end of story. Better they make a video than a bomb.

And to all those who say this kid doesn't deserve what he's getting, just remember the teacher did not deserve this either. Think of both sides of the issue. I know sometimes it is hard to think that way as a teenager, but is a very important skill to learn for life. If you are going to take a stand against possible wrong being done towards this guy, then also take a stand against wrong done towards the teacher. We are all human after all, whether we are young or old.

Kids in America are spoiled. If these kids would only come to a poorer country they'd see many kids can't even get an education because they can't afford it. High school education is seldom heard of in many places. Perhaps if the students could learn to respect the value of education, they could respect their teachers. If they respect their teachers then their teachers would not have to spend all their time dealing with rowdy kids, and would actually be able to teach much more efficiently.

I think this is nothing - I mean, I was entertained to watch it, but I think the legal implications completely petty. The kids were bored, maybe they needed to whipped around a bit, given some discipline - OR - been left to their creative forms of passing the time. Anyway, I think it's totally immature that there's a serious issue brewing over this. WHATEVER. It's just a video. Fine, take it off youtube, whatever. Go find something meaningful to squabble over.

If you don't like the quality of the school or class, then go to a private school. That would require some initiative and some money right? Private schools don't suspend you. Folks, today in the USA there are plenty of disturbed students using their teachers as scapegoats and outlets for their confusion and anger. They strike out at what is near. I know one teacher switching jobs. The students just sit there and harrass him all day, and then after harrassing him in his workplace, which is also their classroom, they started lying complaints. He said this is unhealthy to work this way.

Sad. On several levels. I don't know what would cause someone to want to be so mean and spiteful to someone else. Teachers are on the front lines of ignorance. Yes. There are bad ones. And maybe she's one. But there are also bad lawyers, bad doctors, and bad politicians...and yes...bad students.

I had her last year, and i know the person who is getting in trouble for making this video. I really think it is dumb that he is getting in trouble. I am a very good student (3.7 GPA). having her as an english teacher may have screwed me for life. the video does not show her teaching problems. she was probably the nicest lady i have ever met, she really cared about her students, but she flat out could not teach. i learned nothing from that class, and i was not a screw off at all.

All right, first, you need to fix your spelling and grammar.
Secondly, if you are going to highlight "stupid" comments she makes, either subtitle them or tone down your music a little.
Thirdly, you can't stage a dialogue. The attempt with the tissues is clearly contrived, and you should attempt to catch natural moments. Also, if that kid who tries to steal them is the director, you are kind of a prick.
Heed my advice and maybe you could actually make something interesting...
