@DexwardCuxann there is single cast and there is auto-cast. From DOTA, single cast is when you press the button to cast the spell once. In auto cast, the spell is activated, as marked with a striped moving border around the box, for as long as you have the mana for it.

Try some games against bots with different heroes and find one you're comfortable with.

But maybe it's a good idea to avoid invoker, alchemist and other difficult heroes to start with.

Good heroes to start out with would probably be those with more direct roles and skills. Like Leshrac or Centaur. Or if you prefer, playing support heroes to grasp the basics and learn how to play in a team with support heroes like Witch Doctor, Omniknight, Crystal Maiden etc.

@kaboomonme No, not Lesh. Lesh requires skill. The easiests are Treant, Leoric, Centaur and crystal maiden. Omni and witch both require experience and skill. Wrong skill at wrong time will cost Omni and Witch their teammates's lifes.
