If they did, then he should be there, but otherwise, he's not an official GD member (I heard in several places that he was asked to join, but he declined), so if it's just for an interview, then he should not be there. Maybe that's why he's awkward - he's in a grey zone - so, unofficial member = no microphone. Oh well. Maybe his presence here herald some addition to the lineup? O_o

It's not that they are overtly racist, but just an ingrained reaction that if someone is part of a minority, you have a lingering doubt in the back of your mind. I got the same when in my country, a Sikh chose to run for a party's leadership... I'm not racist, but he's "not like me," so I got an icky feeling at first.
