The swallow tail larve love to eat carrot tops, parsely, dill and fennel. If you see caterpillars on these crops in you garden they are probably swallow tail.
i planted carrots a little over a year ago and found a couple of these guys eating on the leaves. i had no idea they were swallowtail caterpillars. i will definitely plant more carrots next year because i love swallowtail butterflies
It's cool to put these in a jar and feed them till they cocoon, then watch them emerge!
