It doesn't take too long researching before you realize that there are arguments - legitimate arguments - for and against evolution. If it was as much fact as you claim, instead of people saying it was against the bible, everyone would just adapt their beliefs around it, and say creation wasnt a literal 7 days. Some do. @ BookloverLBT6 The church my family and I go to sing almost only hymns. While we love them bc they come straight out of the word of God, in Nehemiah it talks about singing a new song. You could find it also in Psalms...a lot of worship songs (particularly new ones) are not completely biblical, but I cannot believe that the God I worship, who made heaven and earth and everything in them, doesnt want to hear you sing simply because of repetition.

@imjacobswife You made my point. The words in Revelation 4:8 are HIGHLY repeatable, because they talk about the Lord. Yet many churches no longer sing the wonderful hymn, "Holy, Holy, Holy," even though the words are straight out of the Bible.
I am a Christian but I do not care for songs like this. When, in the song, Jesus' name can be replaced with the name of a boyfriend and it still means the same; that is a little unnerving. Also, when the words "I", "me", and "my" outnumber "Lord," that is also a little more than disconcerting. It is also my opinion that half of our brain needs to be shut off in order to sing such repetitious choruses.

@mycatistigger If you knew the Bible, you would know that this verse comes from a book of the law in the Old Testament. Before the death and resurrection of Christ there was no forgiveness of sins. The daughter had dishonored herself and more importantly her father, a priest, and there was no way to regain that honor. When Jesus died for us, sin was defeated, and the Old Testament law and covenant were fulfilled in Him and made into a new covenant of both salvation and forgiveness of sins.

How sad that someone needs to go to all that length to try & prove why they do not believe in God.
All I can say is I know personally who I belive in. I have seen the changes he brings to broken lives. If that makes my life richer for my faith, then I am more than happy.
I don't need medical, or scientific studies or agruments to persuade or disuade me from what I have known is real for 37 years.

It doesn't take too long researching before you realize that there are arguments - legitimate arguments - for and against evolution. If it was as much fact as you claim, instead of people saying it was against the bible, everyone would just adapt their beliefs around it, and say creation wasnt a literal 7 days. Some do. But the fact that there is significant argument should say something. You shouldn't waste time trying to convince people through argument. It never works.

@mycatistigger DNA... irreducibly complex...look at the amoeba for example..it is to be simple but if you look at it it has mechanisms more complex than most machines made by man...if you look at the DNA it has a perfect code that can fill more than a hundred pages in a textbook....the fossils looked symmetrical...they have equal length of arms and legs not disfigured in any way..what are the chances of that and tell me do you see a dog turn into a cat or a snail turning into a cheetah?

@ BookloverLBT6 The church my family and I go to sing almost only hymns. While we love them bc they come straight out of the word of God, in Nehemiah it talks about singing a new song. You could find it also in Psalms...a lot of worship songs (particularly new ones) are not completely biblical, but I cannot believe that the God I worship, who made heaven and earth and everything in them, doesnt want to hear you sing simply because of repetition.

I am a Christian but I do not care for songs like this. When, in the song, Jesus' name can be replaced with the name of a boyfriend and it still means the same; that is a little unnerving. Also, when the words "I", "me", and "my" outnumber "Lord," that is also a little more than disconcerting. It is also my opinion that half of our brain needs to be shut off in order to sing such repetitious choruses.

8) The idea of the big bang is not ‘far fetched.’ It is the best explanation we have, according to evidence, fro the creation of the universe. What was there before? Don’t know. In fact, as time is a result of the big bang then its questionable that there was a ‘before’. Bizarare, confusing, complex, yes. Proof that everything was made by a magic man in the sky? I don’t think so.

3) The bible has been discredited. Many times over. WE could start with Noah's ark. Obviously impossible. Didn't happen. The bible is untrue. Therefore it is discredited. We could also talk about flying horses, cockatrices, talking snakes etc etc.

@mycatistigger God does not send people to Hell. Those people decide to reject a loving God. Try to suspend belief for a moment with me. Say there is an Almighty God who created all things and is in charge of all things. One day you will stand before Him. Will you refuse to give Him honor? I may not like the President in charge of the company I work for or the US for that matter, but I still would respect Him. We automatically give that. In your current belief you are rejecting Him.

@mycatistigger There is evidence that there are Jewish people and they can be traced all the way to the beginning of time. There are places that are named in the Bible that still exist. The Dead sea scrolls, Jesus did exist and no one is disclaiming that. The Temple's have been built and destroyed and rebuilt and there are still remains of those things today. I really don't know what evidence that you are speaking of that you would like to see or hear.

7) In the paper this morning was a report form Pakistan of a secular politician assassinated by a religious zealot. He, like you, was ‘doing Gods work’ and like you he was willing to ignore evidence that he was wrong because he was sure God was on his side. Such opinion needs to be challenged whenever they surface. Even on youtube.

Every court case from the beginning of time involved having at least two witnesses and the judicial system continues to work in the same way now. We will see in the end my friend. I encourage you to actually read the Bible for yourself and challenge God yourself. Ask Him if he exists. If He doesn't, what harm is there in either action. Start with the New Testament and read the facts for yourself instead of repeating what you have heard it says.

@mycatistigger Because he is also a just God. That is why, in order to redeem us and to see us as blameless and worthy of eternal life, he had to send the only perfect person in our place. Those who do not confess their sins and ask for forgiveness, he is just and must condemn them to hell even though he loves all people. That is the greatest love. Do you, mycatistigger, do you actually love people who hate you? If they were guilty of a crime punishable by death, would you die in their place?

You ignore historical facts and claim untruths as truth which lessens the value of both truth and history.

@mycatistigger If you knew the Bible, you would know that this verse comes from a book of the law in the Old Testament. Before the death and resurrection of Christ there was no forgiveness of sins. The daughter had dishonored herself and more importantly her father, a priest, and there was no way to regain that honor. When Jesus died for us, sin was defeated, and the Old Testament law and covenant were fulfilled in Him and made into a new covenant of both salvation and forgiveness of sins.

@phxvc Yeah, that story was added to the bible some time in the middle ages. It actually has nothing to do with jesus at all. he did a good job beating up the money lenders tough, didn't he? Used a whip on them. He also compalined that disobedient chidlren weren't being killed. There's another story about him being a horse thief too.
