Mages deal allot of damage, however this is mainly AoE damage, too single targets (alone) it all depends on Crit, and in raids you'll come in next to warriors & rogues. (CC allot)

The fact that you dont focus to much on Stamina (compared to other classes) and wear cloth, you usually end up getting 3 shooted by melee classes, but with Mana Shield & or Ice barrier + Frost Nova, Blink, ice block and Cone of Cold (with additional Slow effects) you'll survive longer than most classes while owning.

Agree with your comment, but if im reading right you say that mage damage is mainly AoE? Mages are a good AoE class, but Im always almost being topped on DPS meters by mages in single target raids. But their AoE damage is huge. All you need for Onny to clear whelps is 1 hunter for volley, a mage for blizzard, and a frost DW specced DK for DnD and HOWLING BLAST CRITS BWAAAAAH. its fun to see Killing machine proc during whelps. 35 11k crits at once is fun :P

For anyone who sais that the mage can do more dmg than any other class,they're wrong. It all depends on how you play,for example,if you suck at playing a mage,pvE or PvP,you run out of mana,and if you do,ooooohhh you're in deep shit

Mages can crush, kill and destroy its enemies with arid cinnamon rolls from a great distance, also can make water, that is the main reason for being a mage. There are rumours that mages can do other things but who cares?
