  • Kurts playing would be like a flight through space if it had wings a protective shuttle.

  • Grande Kurt!!!!

  • holy fk

  • @iaguidrum It's a good thing no one is making you watch this video.

  • 4:01 -> Ted poor = sick

  • 1 2 3 4/ 1 2 3 = une MESURE 4/4 une MESURE 3/4 ca fait CHIER MAIS C EST BON

  • @LAURENTGIANEZ57 hey actually its a 7/4 measure

    Cheers ;)

  • 5:10 this octave play gives me goosebumps,

as intense as the 2 first songs on The Remedy, but also with the video. thanks a lot for sharing.

  • possibly one of the best live jazz videos I've ever seen

  • SOOO killing! It *is* just one of those tunes, I know what you mean, @HendrixcommaMartin

  • Man, this tune is just sooo good. It's just one of those tunes, ya know?

  • This drummer is real good

  • 0:00-8:56 sounded pretty sick.

  • Aaron parks said he was trying to create a thunderstorm... He did just that

  • who wrote this tune?

  • @jayasslee Aaron Parks wrote the tune for Kurt Rosenwinkel

  • I think I prefer Mike Moreno on this tune. To be fair I prefer Mike over Kurt anyway... but mike just seems to do a better job phrasing-wise. Harmonically I like him better too...

  • Kurt just kills it. Every time.

  • I would do anything to see Kurt playing with Ari Hoenig. i think theyd really play well together

  • This tune is one of those "simple but amazing" tunes, i can't stop hearing it! The studio version, from Aaron Parks "Invisible Cinema" is wonderful too

  • insane groove

  • Daddy? What is a guitar solo? Uh, this would be it...

  • This performance completely epitomizes the reason why I play music.

  • This is one of my favorite guitar solos... Ever. And to think it's just from someone's video camera in the audience. Imagine what Kurt played like the next night, or the night before... or tonight... Simply amazing.

  • that's just fantastic, kurt rosenwinkel is a true inspiration to me !

  • one of the most amazing guitar solos i've ever heard

  • Heavy shit man, Ted Poor is so deep.

  • on aarons album its harland on drums...hahah and moreno can play his ass off but he just sounds like kurt but not as badd ass :P

  • the npr version has kendrick scott on drums also keep in mind

  • which npr version? theres only one and its eric harland on drums....

  • @groupieoftheyear it won't let me post the link for it but it's at npr under kurt rosenwinkel live at the village vanguard

  • Kurt is so much better in every way than Moreno... and he destroys this!

  • @aaronlebos Moreno does an Awesome lick at the end of his solo mind you. But I agree, I prefer Kurts scence of melody. Both great inspirations to go practice some guit chops:) and thanx to Aaron Parks for providing an awesome arrangment of chords

  • 4:32 - 5;00 cool !

  • dunno man... i know it's probably kurt's direction but drums is lagging...

  • I love the drums in this version...it grooves heavy!

  • @Teejman2010

agreed man, really nice fat laying back pocket

  • That is false.

  • i have never loved any type of music this much.

  • Would love to have this on mp3.

  • Man.... Could you imagine Nate Smith on drums for this song??

  • indeed

  • yeah but ted is on this and ted is beyond nate in a different ways but nate is the man too! word up to all the new drummers making me want to get outta bed everyday and keep playing.

  • hell yeah, or david king?!

  • This kind of music tunes my mood, awesome stuff. Scotland~

  • man, i don't think i've ever seen rosenwinkel play this fast. he's killing!

  • You got to listen to The Remedy Live @ Village Vanguard - his latest album. He is playing really fast there. Unbelievable how he is still changing his style. Usual guitar player: From playing fast to playing chords. He just seems to go into the other direction. And see: Now he can do both as only KR could. This man was a very rare luck for our instrument. When you think that nothing is going on, you find someone who is playing like THIS GUY. Great.

  • kurt was incredible in eilat this is nothing compared to seeing him live.

  • What a tune!

Kurt, you was amazing at red sea jazz festival 09, Eilat, Israel.

  • this sing was my favorite!

red sea jazz festival 09 was a really great festival

    on of the best.

    Kurt is amazing

but I couldnt find this song in any of his albums.

  • Aaron Parks - Invisible Cinema

But kurt isn't playing in that album

look for live at the fasching. Kurt plays this song with aaron

  • Google "kurt rosenwinkel npr village vanguard". It's in the second set.

  • Man, Ted Poor is the man. Check out his other projects - Jerseyband more specifically. You will be completely surprised.

  • I watch this every day. The sweep picking extravaganza at 4:18 to the tremelo picking thing and just past it around 4:40 is my favorite segment of sound EVER. Thank you so much for this video. It makes my life better.

  • Kurt rips this. That Coltraney lick with the high pedal kills me.

  • @bluesguy33 The first time i heard that lick was by Freddie Hubbard in his solo in "Blues and the abstract truth".

  • @thinkingevil I don't know who did it first but I just associate it in my head with Coltrane. He does is a bunch on the My Favorite Things album.

  • @bluesguy33 Maybe that's where Freddie heard it first. But it is lovely the way it's played on trumpet on that Oliver Nelson album. Kurt clearly took some time to shed it to fluency!

  • ted poor looks like if that naked dude from rocky horror picture show put a teeshirt on. or He-Man. and he's the tightest drummer!!

  • kurt still move forward. great vid. thanx for posting!

  • cause he doesnt like kendrick and harland is too busy

  • How do you know he doesnt like Kendrick scott? Eric harland is a Bad Ass

  • Kurt has played with Kendrick a lot.

  • cus this dudes ted poor. hes way in the future. watch out! :)

  • Man - Ted Poor is insane, one of the most killing and (most of all) musical drummers I've seen so far...

  • @gunzaj I'm floored every time I hear him
