    that Heineken comercial sucks balls

  • Rafi is not in the video singing. He is a playback Singer. The man singing in the video is an actor. Just so you all know

  • Be honest people from the subcontinent can sing....but we SUCK at dancing, i feel embarrassed watching this tbh:D.

  • The dancing makes me so happy

  • Can someone tell me why this club is so crunk?

What's going on -- what's with the masks -- someone point me in the direction of the wiki page lol

Song is awesome and I'm jamming out but I don't know WHY lol

  • I turned a minute of this into ringtone. You should see the looks I get from people. One problem though, my friends are ticked 'cause they keep getting sent to voicemail. I start singing along and don't answer fast enough.

  • With all due respect an indian song from 1965 is pretty sweet, thanks Heineken for bringing this to lite!

  • Indian Elvis?

  • Hell yeah

  • Are there any other songs like this out there where you can just get on the dance floor and lose your bleeping mind like in this one ?!

  • If you watched the hole thing just for the wicked dance thumbs up XD

  • If you watched the hole thing just for the dance thumbs up .

  • @MegaXxx17 thumbs up! xD

  • Jan Pehechan-Ho nice music but some lyrics i don't understand stay i don't understand nothing . Cool dance .

  • watch the movie Ghost World. that's what made me kinda like this song. but i guess i like the chorus the most.

Ghost World is hilarious. it's a little bit like Napoleon Dynamite except it was released three years before ND. And it's a little deeper in plot in an emotional sense.

  • Weird moves. The girl with golden dress looks like a monkey when she dance.

    Stupid dance for a women.

  • @SuperMadcox 1966.........have some mercy

  • @OTTODDROCK

Ok, my bad, my bad. :D

  • strange dance

  • Ugh. That girl in the gold must have really gotten a stiff neck!

  • OH! This is being used for the Heiniken commercial! It didn't make much sense there and I'm trying real hard to be open minded about this. I guess it's an acquired "taste."

  • I would do unforgivable things to the girl in the gold brownish.dress

  • Reminds of something Quentin Tarantino would do. Excellent music video and song.

  • I can't stop watching this. So catchy. 88 edits, including about 20 in the last 45 seconds. Does anyone know what kind of microphone Rafi is using when he moves out on the floor? It looks like he's singing into a metal bowtie. Unable to Google anything like it.

  • @magog77 Not only the 88 edits, but it looks to me as if they only used one camera, sometimes moving, sometimes stationary. I count at least 30 different positions with the camera set up at different locations (sometimes different film lots or different lights). With multiple takes for each set up that suggests 60 or more takes for this one scene. This had to be done over multiple days. Its a pity the outtakes are probably all lost.

FYI Rafi isn't the person filmed singing

  • That's look like quinceanera baile sorpresa..

  • That's look like quinceanera baile sorpresa...

  • wow reminds me of tarantino so much!

  • My take on the genre of this music. It is like the Ventures from the 60s ( 3 guitarists and drums - no vocals ) or the Shadows ( Well-known in UK - same format ) meet a full-blown orchestra and add some vocals { in Hindi to boot ). Hire a frontman for vocals who moves like Little Richard and add some go-go dancing and some twist moves. This then has the makings of a song clip that is quirky and definitely worth a look and also a replay. It will generate an opinion good or bad.

  • WOW, the dancing is awesomee.

  • Quentin Tarantino meets the B-52's.

  • @magog77 i get 'tarantino', but why b-52? would glen miller/50s twist not be more apt

  • Thanks 4 sharing drchock.

  • Actually I think Vince Vega and Mia Wallace dance seen (pulp Fiction) also inspired by this. Tarantino just hides influence better. great great movie great culture.

  • Me encantaría saber qué dice

  • @Arshak671 aan Pehechan Ho, Jeena Aasaan Ho,

Dil Ko Churane Wale Aakh Na Churaavo, Naam Tho Bataavo

vamos a conocernos, la vida sera mas facil oh roba-corazones no seas timida y te vayas, dime tu nombre.

Lets get to know each other, it will make life easier, oh you heart stealer, don’t shy away, tell me your name!

  • @karloalberti nice comment !!! love from L.A.

  • @karloalberti you're awesome!

  • The dancers look like they are having a blast... not overly complicated moves that only a pole dancer can accomplish.

  • I've been so brainwashed by contemporary American movies and media that the women in this video look "chunky" to me. :(

  • Today my brother was like "You got that from that Heinekin commercial," and I was like, "NO BITCH, I LISTEN TO MOHD. RAFI." Some people are so iggnorant.

  • I have a hard time watching this and not shake my head the entire time.

  • i don't know what he is saying but i like it!

  • I found this recording on iTunes, for those interested. Its on the Ghost World soundtrack. The artist listed is Special EFX, which, of course, is incorrect. The soundtrack has a variety of original recordings.

  • 4:36 made me laugh so hard milk came out of my nose but I still love this song

  • Me and my crew dance like this all of the time. That's how we roll.

  • as an italian american, i have to say, i like indians...they are a zany peoiple

  • That's 'cause we had Elvis and they had this guy.

  • Ghost World *___*

  • Does he say "Jan pehechan-Ho, Gina's a sand hoe!"? Thats what it sounds like to me & i wanna sing it out loud bc my roommates gf is named Gina.

  • @Jshepherd904 Take her to the beach!

  • @Jshepherd904 its actually 'jeena asaan ho'. it basically means 'life's easier', in your case you could take it as, 'Gina's easy,' :D

  • I bet the bird in the gold dress still hasn't stopped shaking form this.

  • Heineken is Dutch Budweiser, but this song rocks.

  • BAD ASS SONG!!!!

  • Dance looks like a retard on steroids.

  • 3:15-3:30 ... Its like indian CRUMPING! xD

  • just listening to the trumpet parts brings me back to my old high school days when i use to play the trumpet.

  • Long live the great duo Shankar-Jaikishan, Rafi-Shainedra,Hasrat

  • i hate that Heineken used this for one of their commercials it makes me hate Heineken that much more

  • That girl was treated for a neck injury after this video.

  • who ever thought at the time that this sing song would be used in an american beer commercial 44 years later?

  • @jpaliano Heineken is a Dutch company! :-)

  • I like that one part where she shakes her head . . .alot.

  • This song is so bad ass. I see why Heineken used it. And clearly the same drugs used in the USA in the 1960's, were used the world over. You can tell by the subtle seizures induced by said drugs. lol

They must have used cement to keep those wigs from flying off!!

  • Groovy baby....FABULOUS.

  • man this song is crazy!

  • ShermanOaks1972 is right - Gold Dress sizzles...smokin'....

  • Jaan Pehchan Ho (Let us get to know each other)

Jeena Aasaan Ho (Life will be easier)

Dil ko churaane walo ( the one who stole my heart)

Ankh Naa churao (Don't pretend to ignore me)

Naam toh Bathao ( Tell me your name)

I was 7 when this released, and danced similarly in the 60's. Nothing compares to the sheer sensuality of these hep cats in skinny slacks and cool kittens absolutely shredding the floor - elevating to frenzy at about the 5:10 mark, just prior to his devilish laugh - WOW!

  • Frickin hi style here, wow, no wonder it is the new Heineken ad

  • i love this song.. reminds ov 60's car chase.

  • Oh awesome, missing footage from the old Batman show.

  • Translation anyone?

I have on in my own mind. Maybe that's all I need. Okay, nevermind.

  • Wow, if I shook my head that much, I think I'd have a migraine. great fun though, thanks for posting.

  • chup chupa diki diki

  • like if you came here after watching the heineken commercial

  • @rudis123 dislike

  • this has been in song that comes in my head every time i see someone shake their head since I was 7 and my parents showed me this

  • Truly an edgy synthesis of cinematography, editing, music, dance and singing

1st the intro drum riff? Gene Krupa's into to Sing Sing Sing ('36)

Then the bass/guitar line? Ventures ('60s)

Brass & Horns? Contemporaneous with Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass

But can you ever look at Rocky Horror Picture Show's ('75) TW and ST medley the same way? The sequence of shots, masked dance line, and character intro, inspired by JPH sequence?

And Kill Bill 1's('03) "5,6,7,8'? QT even kept the masks

  • @thesinodean totally bang on with the Krupa intro, definitely Tarantino saw this (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill)
