In the fifties and sixties black men were lynched, children blown up by bombs, other children hit by high pressure water hoses because they wanted equal rights. While slavery was over 200 years ago the effect still exists. In the fifties and sixties black men were lynched, children blown up by bombs, other children hit by high pressure water hoses because they wanted equal rights. Children who wanted to go to a better school had acid thrown in their face, were beaten, threatened with violence and other forms of intimidation. Just recently white teenagers hung nooses in a tree threatening blacks. While you harp about slavery, racism is alive and well.
