So if you don't mind could you answer these two questions? First, why do you dislike Dallas and assume that the majority of them are hicks? Second, where are you from exactly?
Dallas is not country at all its kinda like atlanta matter of fact dallas has more population then new orleans,san diego,atlanta,miami,and more cities and its metroplex is very bigg plus the dfw airport (metroplex) is the 2dn largest in usa and 3rd busiest in the world!

The Hyatt is near Reunion tower (the ball with lights). when u turned right on Griffin from Elm the hotel on the left was the West End hotel(former Hampton Inn) Keep going on elm st to houston st. left on houston. the only way to get into reunion and Hyatt is to enter union station and use the tunnel to get there.
I love Dallas (I Live There) but if you want to live in a city with over 1,240,499 people I have to warn you it is very humid a don't say anything bad about the Dallas Cowboys or you'll have problems.
If you havent ever lived in a big city, and u wanna live some where like new york, LA, chicago, dallas etc. u would have a lot of trouble fitting in, alot of city people can be jerks, u dont really have space, and u have to deal with pollution daily. i live in Dallas, but since i have been here my whole life to me its a great place to live. But for some one who does not live in a major city im not sure u would enjoy it.
