Surely, one of the most spectacular rock shows of the 80's. Bowie went all out for this one, we will never see anything like this from him again. Peter Frampton showing that he is truly a great guitarist. He almost lost when he did that Sgt. Peppers thing LOL
i reakon this is one of the better older tours mainly because its the only older one with good sound and video quality if only that man waving in the background in this vid would change to something else rather than just staying as that
He always sings good, but I don't really enjoy this performance as a whole. I don't like that he made such a show out of the song. I like 90s and now Bowie more, I have to say
@sannaols5582 made such a show of the song? the 80's were all about showmanship and razzle dazzle during a concert...and I am sorry to say not many musicians put very much effort in their shows anymore...it's quite sad. I actually saw him on this tour, and it was freaking amazing! I was 12 at the time and I was floored by the spectacle of it all...
glad i didnt see this tour but you can tell hes a bit lost without having a mic in his hand, he keeps grabbing the headset mic for lack of anything else
I saw Bowie on this tour, the only time I've ever seen him live. I love most of the stuff he's done and he's a genius but the Glass Spider gigs were fucking awful.
The first time I heard this song it was 1977. some 32 yrs. ago. And it's good music. It would be like listening to music in 1977 from 1945 Not bloody likely! It was great music. I dont think in 2040 they will be listening to .50 cent thanx for the post
I saw his Glass Spider Tour in Toronto, Canada. He almost went broke as he was the first to use huge monitors on either side of stage and the mechanical theatrics involved. He entered by dropping down from under the spider. FAB concert. Noticed kids half my age singing to Rebel Rebel (used to play at my High School dances between band breaks) and these kids knew it word for word over a decade later. THE GOOD STUFF NEVER GETS OLD!
Che grande poeta! Che Idiozia...essere eroi per un solo giorno e lasciare che il resto della vita si annebbi nel nulla o nel ricordo di essere stati eroi per un solo giorno,,,Divino Bowie

I saw both Serious Moonlight and The Glass Spider tours and I remember the latter being too "showy" and production oriented. The music was great though and I especially liked that Peter Frampton was on guitar along with Carlos Alomar (who stayed out of Serious Moonlight) Great song and the differences between the two tours only exemplify how creative and versatile the Thin White Duke really is.
No no...her name's Melissa Hurley, and she was 21 in 1987...! Basil was a choreographer for the "Through the Flames" dance troupe Bowie used on this tour, but she didn't travel with them.
Whoa, whoa...easy there, big fella. Nobody's doubting your whereabouts in 1987; I merely stated that you were completely, utterly erroneous in stating that MH is really TB. As Casey Stagel used to say, "You can look it up". Tool
NEWS FLASH! Not everything is on the inernet - nor is everything on the internet accurate.I could argue with you till I'm blue in the face and you could too. However I AM right. I worked that tour.
hmmm...just wondering, but if you, ahem, "worked that tour", then how can you confuse MH with TB?? How can you not recognize video footage of a dancer (MH) who performed the same routine with DB throughout that tour..? You know, lies make Baby Jesus cry. Tool.
I did not think the album was bad at all, except for day in/day out and the horrible title track. But in gothenburg he sang heroes with one hand in his pocket. I couldn´t get over it. Big disappointment, but it´s over now, all right

We saw a show on this tour and it was woeful. There should of been a disclaimer on the ticket that it could be bad. Neck and neck with Fame Academy.

This might be Melissa Hurley in this video, but I do know Basil choreographed the performance for the tour.
She also made an appearance and performed on some US shows. I know because I was there.
