I love all these characters. Disgaea 3 and Disgaea are so epic. Disgaea 2 was okay too. Mao, Almaz and Mr. Champloo are my favorite characters so far. I haven't beat the game yet though. Raspberyl is an okay character too. I just hate Sapphire. D: Personality and DEFINITELY voice fail. I heard her voice actress done other roles which were fine though.. With the princess, she just sounds like she's confused or stupid--stereotypical dumb blonde. Though, I must give her a plus for character design.

Is this from listening to this trailer or from actually playing the game? I find that the voices fit the characters they're for, at the very least.

Example: Champloo: very... very... eccentric...

Raspberyl: Like she's trying to impress.

Mao: Like he just doesn't give a shit except for when he wants to.

And I haven't played it just yet, but NISA's dubbing has usually been good, so I have faith.

I didn't actually have the courage to leave the language to English, but if it's anything like this trailer, and I'm sure it is, I made the right choice.

And I'm not some kind of anime purist, I think Makai Kingdom's English VA rocked and is even superior to the original Japanese voice acting.

I just hate this kind of plain, childish and overall unfitting voice acting.

But meh. I like both Japanese and English. English Mao's voice may be raspy and everything, but I find some kind of charm in the English dub. I dunno why, really. That's just my honest opinion.

They actually are in the game , but they are unlockable only with bonus maps

You may recognize Almaz's English voice actor from Trigun as Vash the Stampede among many other anime. I know I've heard beryl's voice before but I can't place it.
