  • great video , but I am a serebro hermaphrodite , I dont see anything wrong with the word hermaphrodite , I was born with both complete sexes I also dont see myself as having a condition becouse its the way nature made me . I do agree with you on your video , keep up the great work.

  • At the end of the day it is all about respect and allowing people to live happy lives.

  • We know that, not everything goes according to what nature intended! So (talking about a condition and not the person), if a person is born with no legs or with no genitals, or with no eyes, should we say that it is natural, normal, or that we should create a new human phenotype? If the infant has been born like that for genetic reasons we could say that it's natural (genetic phenomenon). It is due to a genetic anomaly therefore it is not normal!

  • The same as it's not right to impose a gender to and intersexual infant, it is not right to impose intersex as gender. Intersex is the result of some kind of anomaly at a genetic level. Nature is selective in terms of survival of the strongest. It surely would not be any reason for intersex as the only way to make a baby with female+male! Mother nature is practical! In a civilised world we have learnt to respect people's sexuality, simply because it is right to do so.

  • I recognise expressions on your face and of your speech that are female for sure. Say no more!!

  • Through you life with your intersexuality experience you have become so knowledgeable on the topic that you could, kind of lecture at some biology-genetics class at a University!! LOL

  • Yeah, I think DSD was pretty much a sellout move.

  • Thank you for saying StoneDarth. I wish other people understood what has happened because of what ISNA promoted. I am sure that not all would agree with me, but the whole DSD nonsense is just ugly terminology that medically stigmatizes and missinforms people about what it means.

  • Why cant intersex actually be another gender per se, is there any particular reason you have to be assigned to either male or female, I mean medically does being intersex put your health in imminent danger or something? Or is it because of society liking everything black and white?

  • hi

its because of society liking two oppsites instead of accepting the grey areas as being perfectly normal.

as an xxy intersexed person,my health issues revolve around the lack of testosterone produced in my body and the issues with taking it or not taking it!

there are more genders and more sexes than meet the eye

    thank you for recognising it

  • Hi masterpeaces, thank you for your reply!

I dont particularly like how society demands everything to be in black and white, forgetting about all the colours in-between like they dont exist. Though just because somethings common doesnt necessarily make it normal, right or better even! Without variation and diversity I think wed live in a very dull world.

  • @SmileSatanLovesU sometimes our health can be at risk, but for the most part, it is all about appearance's. I tend to stick with the No other person has a right to choose for someone else what they are. That is the big booboo dr's and parents keep making.

  • @SmileSatanLovesU .... we should respect that intersex is a naturally caused phenomenon. Therefore, it is natural and intersexual people are normal in that sense. However, I do not think that we need to make it into a gender.

  • @YoSoyZuri Interesting analogies, I see your logic. Though I think of it more like this.- Doctors comply with what society deems normal, when an intersex baby (genotypocally, it varies) is born with ambiguous genetalia, in a society that only recognises males and females, they are assigned a sex and have corrective surgery which have nothing to do with the underlying intersex condition,- but to ensure their genetalia is not offensive to a future partner, and purely about aesthetics…

  • …In their eyes it is in the patients best interest. The surgery can result in a lack of sensation in genetalia, and they don’t always pick the correct gender for that person (eg Kailanas case), subsequently causing psychological trauma, and a crass diagnosis of gender identity disorder. I think this can be avoidable if intersex was recognised as a gender, -acknowledgment doesn’t always bring acceptance, but it’s a step in the right direction for their physical and mental well- being.

  • @SmileSatanLovesU ... yes but my point is that it is not right to operate on infants!

  • @YoSoyZuri It can be extremely necessary to operate on any infant regarding intersex or otherwise if their health is imminent danger,- but for most intersex affected people it is not which is why I do not consider it necessary.

  • I am aware, thing is it was allready part of it, they just used Intersex before, it is still underneath GID, That is what I find annoying. Like what does being Intersex have to do with the other fetishes underneath the GIDNOS acronym? No one with an intersex condition belongs under that classification.

  • more people should watch this

  • i agree with everything apart from a genetic error

are deformed trees really an error or just a variation of a specific known tree?

does nature truly produce errors or variations?

i am sleepy, more examples to follow

  • I agree with the line of thought on the genetic errrors being genetic variation, but as a medical issue in general, those variations that make up a part of us is what is used to say we have an intersex condition so I figured it was appropriate to mention, The unique Genetic oopsies are what get classified into Conditions.

  • Yeah, I knew about the whole DSD thing, especially with the growing HBS crowd. Not that I am into labels, but when a HBS person shows up to educate on Intersex, I feel a slight burning. I hate the use of DSD and I hate even more, wht the APA is doing.

  • That is understandable, again with the APA, lol I just hate them for adding us in again under GIDNOS, we were there in the DSM-4 as well. Which no one should be as the good old HBSoC allready disqualifies someone from meeting a transsexual Diagnosis, I hate bringing this up again, but we don't need to be in the DSM-5, Dealing with a medical issue only is hard enough then to be stuck with a made up psychological disorder that was not our fault. I swear Some Dr's are just medically incompetent.

  • yummmmmmm waffles!

  • ah dang it now I am hungry, Oh wait I am always hungry. Argh ok late night snack i guess.

  • as am i.. we should go out for waffles ... :)

  • hey lana.. thanks for your input.. AWESOME

  • thank you for saying so

  • DSD is offensive and insenstive to the "normality" of natural intersexers
