There are always going to be people who say vaccines are 100% safe, they did not harm me or my kids.Well I am here as a parent who's child almost died as a result of vaccines. He received his vaccine, his throat started to swelling shut and he broke out in whelps all over his body.He was immediately rushed to the ER and treated. If his Pediatrician had not been located in the hospital center he might have not been here today.I have had several doctors acknowledge his reaction to vaccines.
@jdolani So your child has a hypersensitivity to vaccines. That is a valid reason to be upset. But if your child had a hypersensitivity (allergy) to peanuts, would you proclaim that peanuts are not safe for anyone just because your child reacts poorly to them? Just food for thought. I feel like vaccines are portrayed poorly for the wrong reasons. If someone dies from an allergy to a food product, its not controversial. But if someone dies from a vaccine allergy? Chaos errupts. Doesn't seem fair.
@TheMegsta My child is allergic to peanuts,we avoid them.If others want to eat them fine.Peanuts are not the same as vaccines.Peanuts grow in the ground and their protein make them harmful for some kids.Vaccines are full of things that are not good for anyone,do research the ingredients.Parent's are not fairly warned and are practically bullied into vaccines. They are full of known neurotoxins. No one is bullied into eating peanuts, not so with vaccines. Its about money! We all have to wake up!
@TheMegsta Seriously? You think it's the(Thimerosal/Mercury containing compound) (Formaldehyde/odorless gas, known carcinogen/linked to cancer)( phenoxyethanol, also known as antifreeze) (Aluminum Hydroxide,Aluminum Sulfate,Aluminum Phosphate) and much more(Physician's Desk Reference) that make the vaccine effective? You do know it's the virus that is used to inoculate, right? Why not use safer stabilizers and preservatives and still not have smallpox.I want safer vaccines!
@TheMegsta If change is not demanded it will never happen.I am not complacent,I don't assume that Pharma and the government knows what is best for me.I have a brain for a reason,I intend on using it.
“Research is biased in favor of the drugs and drug makers. The pharmaceutical industry spends a great deal to influence people in academic medicine and professional societies. It does a super job of making sure [that] nearly every important person they can find in academic medicine [who] is involved in any way with drugs is hired as a consultant, as a speaker, is placed on an advisory board — and is paid generous amounts of money."
@ubiquitinJF Yep but causation is causation. If you're shot with a bullet in the heart you will die. If you get poisoned by a vaccine then you're poisoned. Plain and simple. Vaccines cause autism. You know that because you rule out of the other possibilities. Does autism cause vaccines? No. Does a third factor cause autism? It hasn't been found over enormous samples, even as vaccination rates line up with the causations trends perfectly. Therefore that proves causation.
@midtra52 Right, so 100% of autists received vaccines. They also breathed air, drank water and slept in beds. Air, water and beds therefore are the cause of autism.
@ubiquitinJF Where are you getting this from? I didn't say 100% of autisics received vaccines. I simply said vaccines cause autism. You do understand the difference right? You were the one stating to know about causation yet now you can't seem to understand it. You need to read about correlation and causation instead of repeat one liners from the pharma lobby. You prove causation by ruling out the reverse and third variable factors, that's what i was showing you.
@ubiquitinJF If you're still confused then try to think how do we know that flu viruses cause flu? Because everyone exposed to the flu gets the virus. Yes they all slept in bed and drank water, but so did the rest of the population. The different variable is the exposure to a flu virus. The different variable in many autism cases is vaccination.
Also, as a medical assistant AND nursing student, I have and am gaining more of the basic science understanding, reasoning, and yes, i read some of the medical journals! But what you are missing is that THEY DO NOT PRINT THE WHOLE TRUTH! I will no longer be a statistic and sacrifice my kids "for the greater good", if YOU chose to do that with yours, so be your decision!
Wow, some people don't get it!! Not only have some of us done our homework, but we have actually been adversely affected by vaccines!!! My son is now 9months, but suffered an allergic reaction to his 6months shots so badly that he had seizures, and the lining of some of his nerves has been stripped away. Some of us don't need a PhD to understand this first hand, our children have been hurt and we have NO choice but to find and know the facts!
What a joke "The government is trying to protect people".
The whole point of vaccination from it's inception was to cause harm. Just like the whole point of christianity from it's inception was to brainwash people, etc, etc. If you knew anything about the true history of humanity you'd know that there's a group of psychopaths conspiring for control of your minds and bodies. But in the end it won't work. They will all die off and humanity will reach a time of great peace.
This movie is just a load of bull. Hey, I feel for these people and can't imagine the pain they are going through but careful dissection of their cases (provided by the Orac, a cancer researcher, at his blog Respectful Insolence) reveal HUGE inconsistencies in their problems. Like how their symptoms all appear weeks to MONTHS after vaccination date. And how, for King, the Vaccine Court, a very lenient system for plaintiffs, strongly ruled against them.
@Gilgamesh417 Orac is on the payroll of Merck and has conducted research fraud on numerous occasions. Find me a study Orac did that wasn't fraudulent. The vaccine "court" isn't a court, there is no jury, and the "judge" doesn't have to review any of the evidence submitted. The fact that you're believing unsubstantiated claims on a blog (by Orac) with no scientific references whatsoever speaks to the credibility of your claims.
@midtra52 No, I've actually read the studies myself. The anti-vaccine studies are poorly constructed and fail to factor in many simple epidemiological variables. Also, I defer the professional such as Orac. Also, all good researchers disclose conflicts of interest. Did Andrew Wakefield disclose his conflict of interest? No, he didn't. Why don't you question that some more?
@Gilgamesh417 I've never seen "anti-vaccine" studies. I'm talking about studies claiming vaccines work while omitting data, using false placebos, and throwing out every study that doesn't allow manipulation of data to prove the point the vaccine manufacturers set out to prove in the first place. Orac is not a professional. He's a salesman and you've been sold.
@midtra52 Also, who cares how the court is structured? Didn't I mention that the court is favorable towards the plaintiff? That it is only required to demonstrate the veracity of the alleged injury and a temporal correlation between alleged injuries and vaccine and it's enough for the court to award damages. Where the heck are you getting your specifics on the vaccine court? Stop embodying the very worst of the anti-vax movement like ignoring wrong doing on your own side.
@Gilgamesh417 I'm getting my specifics from being in the vaccine court. The "expert" testifying against me was on Merck's payroll. The special master hangs out with the pharma lobby every weekend and goes on vacations with them. They refused to admit evidence that proved causation. They refused to listen to my attorney. They made up claims that my attorney and myself had said things we never had. The whole thing was a complete farce done in private without a jury.
@Gilgamesh417 All of this happens in vaccine court and you're not even allowed to point out when the court lies, or when the crooked doctor on pharma's payroll lies. They can lie all they want and you can't submit any evidence proving they lied. That's worse than the shady courts from USSR. The fact that you defend this and believe they should have legal immunity shows you care nothing for freedom, honest science, and the rule of law.
@Gilgamesh417 I don't think you understand who a plantiff is. The plantiff the the claimant, the one filing that the vaccine caused injury. The defendant in this case in the health and human services department. The court is highly favorable for the defendant, not the plantiff.
@midtra52 You're an idiot. No, it is not highly favorable to the defendant you idiot. Generally, it tends to AWARD damages at a capped amount. Did you get that through your thick skull to your addled brain that believes in conspiracy theory garbage and ignores faults in your own arguments? The Vaccine Court TENDS TO FAVOR THOSE WHO CLAIM DAMAGES BECAUSE THEY ONLY NEED TO ESTABLISH A CONNECTION SUITABLE FOR A CIVIL LEGAL COURT. You're a moron.
@Gilgamesh417 Where are you getting this from? Why don't you try some facts instead of name calling. I have an attorney for a vaccine case and him and the special master both warned me that less than 10% of claims are awarded in the plaintiffs favor. Now I'm gettting my information directly from the court. So where are you getting your claims?
To win an award, a claimant must show a causal connection; if medical records show a child has one of several listed adverse effects soon after vaccination, the assumption is that it was caused by the vaccine. The burden of proof is the civil-law preponderance-of-the-evidence standard, in other words a showing that causation was more likely than not.
@Gilgamesh417 There's your problem.. wikipedia. You realize wikipedia can and is edited by anyone and is not a reliable source. None of what you just quoted is true in the actual court.
From 1988 until 2008-01-08, 5,263 claims relating to autism, and 2,865 non-autism claims, were made to the VICP. 925 of these claims, one autism-related (see Previous Rulings), were compensated, with 1,158 non-autism and 350 autism claims dismissed; awards (including attorney's fees) totaled $847 million.
The VICP also applies to claims for injuries suffered before 1988; there were 4,264 of these claims of which 1,189 were compensated with awards totaling $903 million.
@midtra52 So, just to be clear, your lawyer's statistics were wrong. Secondly, those are VERY generous statistics considering that vaccine damages are INCREDIBLY rare and vaccines have never been demonstrated to contribute to autism in study after study. Also, if you choose to dismiss those studies because they are funded by the NHS and NIH, maybe you should dismiss Wakefield's study because he had a patent for a vaccine that rivaled the vaccine he was studying and he was paid by plaintiffs.
@Gilgamesh417 So the court is lying to me? And wikipedia is right? That's what you expect people to believe? There's not even a reference for the statements you quoted on wikipedia, you do realize that right? And what on Earth are you talking about Wakefield having a patent for a vaccine?? Show me that patent please. You're the only person that's ever heard of such a thing.
@midtra52 You've never read down wikipedia? All you have to do is type in vaccine court on wikipedia, read those stats and read down to the citations. But since you're clearly too lazy to do that, National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program statistics reports . Health Resources and Services Administration. 2008-01-08. Retrieved 2008-01-22.
@Gilgamesh417 Yes and the reference is not there. Click on that reference, there's no page for it. But maybe you misunderstood your own math because even if those numbers are right they back up what I was saying because your own numbers showed that only 11% of claims filed were awarded to the plaintiff, that's called STACK AGAINST THE PLANTIFF. Not the other way around like you were claiming.
@Gilgamesh417 Google.....WIKIPEDIA MAKES NO GUARANTEE OF VALIDITY
"Please be advised that nothing found here has necessarily been reviewed by people with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate or reliable information....... Wikipedia cannot guarantee the validity of the information found here. .....ll information read here is without any implied warranty of fitness for any purpose or use whatsoever......"
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Are you stupid? That's why I provided the sources you moron. You asked for citations, I provided them, and you ignore them. And again, why do you still refuse to address the fact that Wakefield had conflicts of interests (was paid by lawyers suing for alleged vaccine damages, had a patent on a vaccine that rivaled the status quo) that he never disclosed?
@mykoolaidtastesfunny And no, getting paid doesn't make oneself right. Being thoughtful and a critical thinker makes me right. I don't work on vaccines but I'm a scientist and a critical thinker. I've read the research papers, read up on accusations by the anti-vaxx crowd and the subsequent debunking by the scientific community, and on the credentials of both sides.
@Gilgamesh417 I go to experts with identities and credentials I can easily verify thanks. Lol..certainly not some angry person on youtube who pats himself on the back at how "thoughtful" a "critical thinker" he is all the while not realizing he's speaking to someone else.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Also, I know about internal ethics reviews and how papers are reviewed so I know that 99.9% of papers are ethically clean because CoIs are always disclosed and scientists are ENCOURAGED TO TAKE PAPERS THAT ARE CORPORATE SPONSORED WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. But guess what? PAPERS STUDYING VACCINES ARE MOSTLY FUNDED BY THE PUBLIC, I.E. THE GOVERNMENT. And these public funded scientists have only the public's best interest at heart
@Gilgamesh417 “Conflicts of interest are rampant. When the New England Journal of Medicine published a study of antidepressants, we didn’t have room to print all the authors’ conflict-of-interest disclosures. We had to refer people to the website. I wrote an editorial for the journal, titled ‘Is Academic Medicine for Sale?’ Someone wrote a letter to the editor that answered the question, ‘No. The current owner is very happy with it.’ That sums up the situation nicely.”
an expert with an identity and credentials that are easily verified........Marcia Angell is a Senior Lecturer in Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School and former Editor in Chief of The New England Journal of Medicine. Her latest book is The Truth About the Drug Companies: How They Deceive Us and What to Do About It.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny What about Paul Offit? Orac? Seth Moonkin? Brian Deer? Or any of the researchers on PubMed who have published epidemiology studies that demonstrate NO correlation between vaccines and autism or gastroenteritis or w/e you want to throw at it.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Keep reveling in the arrogance of your ignorance and your logical fallacies. You're the perfect case of everything that makes the anti-vaxx movement an anti-intellectual, anti-science, anti-public health movement.
@Gilgamesh417 Honey...you are "projecting" and name calling doesn't make you right. You didn't even realize you weren't speaking to the same guy from 2 days ago. That's how arrogant and ignorant YOU are.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Does it matter? You anti-vaxxers kind of all talk the same. Same lines of supposed "research." Same supposed "critical thinking." Same assumption that your own research and intelligence some how trumps the collective scientific world's decades of cumulated research and education. Same biases and same arguments. Same idiocy.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny I'm asking you legitimate questions. First, the anti-vaxxers said it was thimerosal. Autism rates didn't decline after the removal of thimerosal from vaccines. Now they say it's something else. That's not how science is done. I have no preconcieved notions or bias, only what the science informs. And the science, from carefully studied cell biology interactions to epidemiological studies, indicate that vaccines do NOT cause the disorders that anti-vaxxers say they cause.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Ever heard of second opinions? I've heard of the case before. Why don't the family seek a second opinion from another neurologist? Steven Novella, a neurologist at Yale Medical School, wishes that the family would seek another opinion because after watching the videos and reading up on the case details, he believes that it is a psychosomatic issue and NOT from an alleged vaccine damage.
@Gilgamesh417 Steve Novella never examined Gabi. He's NOT her doctor so I'm not interested in what he says. Her symptoms are acknowledged "side effects" of Gardasil. "Believe" isn't scientific evidence.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny And, again, there is a reason why patients will often seek out multiple doctors for opinions. Simply seeking and accepting the diagnosis of one physician is unacceptable - I certainly wouldn't. Not all physicians are competent and TOO MANY confuse correlation with causation. If you want a detailed take down, why don't you visit the blog Science-Based-Medicine and read The Greater Good: Pure, unadulterated anti-vaccine propaganda masquerading as a “balanced” documentary.
@Gilgamesh417 Why would I go to some biased site? I think Gabi's DOCTOR has a better handle on Gabi's condition than some self appointed internet "expert" thanks.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny The Greater Good: Pure, unadulterated anti-vaccine propaganda masquerading as a “balanced” documentary is written by David Gorski, MD, PhD, FACS and a surgical oncologist at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute specializing in breast cancer surgery.
@Gilgamesh417 Lol...so now an oncologist is qualified to speak about vaccines but Gabi's own doctor doesn't get to? Wow...show some bias why don't you?
Gabi’s doctor confirms, in the film, that it was Gardisil that caused all this. She is upbeat and optimistic, because being negative will “only make it worse,” she says, but you can see the immense sadness in her eyes.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny First off, DID YOU EVEN READ ANY OF THE POINTS THAT I POINTED OUT? IF THE ONSET OF SYMPTOMS IS ACKNOWLEDGED TO BE WEEKS AFTER ALLEGED INSULT HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT IS CORRELATION?
@Gilgamesh417 Gee.....I guess Gabi's DOCTOR must not be aware of that. I find you to be an angry belligerent joke. Seriously. How can you say a 1 in 400 association = proof that HPV even causes cervical cancer? If only 1 in 400 smokers got lung cancer I'd keep smoking.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Concerning Gabi (if you're too biased to read it), he makes good points of: What exactly is her diagnosis? It is very vague. What's the timing of supposed insult and injury? Reports say symptoms developed within weeks of supposed insult. That is a weak correlation (and still remember that correlation doesn't equal causation)? Much could have happened in those intervening weeks. Finally, just because her doc thinks that the vaccine caused Gabi’s illness doesn’t make it so.
@Gilgamesh417 Honey...you are "projecting" It is not "bias" to listen to what Gabi's DOCTOR says instead of some random quack who never even examined her.
All you have is association that HPV causes cervical cancer. You don't even have a correlation. You're criticizing people who do the same thing you do. Only 1 in 400 people out of the many millions who have HPV even get cervical cancer. If only 1 in 400 smokers got lung cancer I would keep smoking.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny First off, why would David Gorski's opinion be invalid? He didn't even make any medical diagnosis. He simply pointed out problems with the film and with the case presented. Also, if you're NEVER going to read what the opposition says, then you're NEVER going to be able to create an informed decision are you? I've been to anti-vaxx sites and read the studies alleging vaxx damages. Have you read science based medicine and skeptic thinking sites?
@Gilgamesh417 David Gorski has Pharma dick up his ass I see
google.......David Gorski’s Financial Pharma Ties: What He Didn’t Tell You
" Therefore, like Offit (who concealed the millions he received in Merck royalty payments because Merck paid the royalties to a third party, not Offit directly) Gorski has a reasonable expectation to receive money from a vaccine maker, even if it is through a third party."
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Can YOU POSSIBLY PLEASE SITE THAT STATISTIC? YOU COULD JUST GO TO THE CDC AND NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE WEBSITES TO LOOK UP CERVICAL CANCER PREVALENCE. ALSO, ARE YOU AWARE THAT YOU ARE AN IDIOT AND THE CURRENT RATE IS ONLY ACHIEVED RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF IMPROVED ACCESS TO TESTING (PAP TESTING) AND VACCINES LIKE GARDASIL? WITHOUT THOSE IMPROVEMENTS, THE RATE WOULD BE HIGHER. YOU BETRAY YOUR SCIENTIFIC IGNORANCE YET AGAIN.
@Gilgamesh417 About 6.2 million Americans contract HPV annually; fewer than 6000 women contract supposedly HPV-related cancers, and about 1300 men. Another 5000 men and women contract anal cancer, which was not then mentioned as HPV-related but has been recently alleged to be so. Take all of those together: Fewer than 15,000 annual cases of allegedly HPV-related cancers for 6.2 million annual infections: 1 chance in 400 that an infection will be associated with a cancer.
So little HPV-related cancers occur due to Pap screening programs.. most pre-cancerous changes are treated before they have a chance to develop into cancer (which takes about 10 years). Working in a cytology lab, considering every pre-cancerous HPV-related change, the stats are wayyyyyy over 1/400. HPV-related anal cancer can only be contracted through anal sex acts, which are significantly lesser in number than vaginal sex acts, accounting for the difference in numbers.
Luckily for me I work in socialized medicine and do not have a financial conflict of interest. There is a higher chance of a conflict of interest in the CDC as it is likely influenced by drug companies like everything else in the American health care system.
google.......Patient Advocate Exposed as Pharma Shill
"What the nonprofit doesn’t highlight is the money behind that message.
The foundation collected nearly 90 percent of its $5 million funding last year from the drug and medical-device industry — and closely mirrors its positions........"
Based on rough estimation, I see about 4-6 pre-cancerous cases out of about 50 cases per day. So in practice (not in theory) HPV-related disease of the cervix is closer to 1/8 or 1/12.
Not a doctor, a cytotechnologist. If you want to know about cooking, you ask a chef. If you want to know about dresses, you ask a dress maker. If you want to know about cellular changes, you ask a cytotechnologist. Common sense.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Seriously? If you won't accept ANY OF MY SOURCES as non-biases, simple facts, then there is no way to have a productive debate with you. You're just a brick-headed, ideologue. Also, WHY WOULDN'T AND ONCOLOGIST KNOW ABOUT GARDASIL, IT'S SIDE EFFECTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT.
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Sigh, it's a pity that you're an idiot at a time when the US needs smarter people. It's okay, I don't hate you, I just pity you, your inability to think critically, and the fact that you succumb to all too human failings.
@midtra52 Also, EVERY SKEPTIC has heard of the torrid story of Wakefield and his fraud and his subsequent striking off from the British medical registry. All you have to do is read Brian Deer's investigative pieces on Wakefield. Idiot. If you knew anyone else who WASN'T a brain addled anti-vaxxer and read some skeptical science blogs like Respectful Insolence or Orac (who publicly disclose possible CoIs), maybe you'd know some smart people who know such things like Wakefield's disgrace.
@Gilgamesh417 You do realize Brian Deer is a journalist right? His references don't back up any of his claims either, if you can find references that do then let me know, but opinions are not facts. Why would I get medical education from a blog that references no medical books, no medical studies, and no statistical date, but is simply a collection of opinions and advertisements?
@Gilgamesh417 But just a pointer, if you want to actually be EDUCATED. Then try reading medical books, scientific studies, the actual vaccine studies. Educate yourself instead of reading the blog of a doctor on a vaccine manufacturers payroll that doesn't bother to reference any actual scientific information!! You'll never learn if you simply read propaganda.
@midtra52 Are you an idiot? The only reason I know of those blogs are 1. I am a scientist and I HAVE READ STUDIES FROM BOTH SIDES, 2. I'VE TAKEN EPIDEMIOLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY COURSES, and 3. I DON'T BIAS MYSELF. Talk about someone eating up propaganda, do you even read ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN ANTI-VAXX WEBSITES? HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN SCIENCE COURSES? Reading a book doesn't make you an expert. You're a bonafide zombie of the anti-vaxxers.
@Gilgamesh417 If you make your living off vaccines or are scared of getting sued....Of course you have bias. Who wants to have their funding cut off or be sued?
Attacking people and getting emotional doesn't make your case.
@Gilgamesh417 Scientists get caught lying for their corporate sponsors all the time. Getting paid doesn't make you right. Pharma co's get caught lying and hiding data REGULARLY.
How stupid do think people are? You only need to get lied to a few times before you realize you're dealing with a bunch of corrupt liars.
@Gilgamesh417 I should also point out that establishing a connection suitable in civil court is not the case. I have the transcript from my case and they reference no cases in civil court, only cases in vaccine court. It specifically states "if a table injury is not listed per the vaccine in question the plaintiff must prove beyond all suspisions and possibilities that the vaccine is responsible for the damage" and that's impossible to do without a jury and a legitimate court.
To the nay-sayers: Would YOU sacrifice YOURSELF or YOUR babies for the "greater good"? Doubt it. It astounds me that pharma companies have absolutely NO accountability for the debilitating damage their vaccines can cause.
We who do not vaccinate our children are NOT putting everyone else's children at any kind of risk. As a matter of fact when you get your child vaccinated with a vaccine that has a live virus in it, your putting MY child at risk.
If your so confident in the vaccines then what do you have to worry about anyway?
Maybe its about time you do some research on this and not just take a Doctors word for it. You just might be saving your childs life....Wake up people!!!
Actually you are putting other childrens lives at risk. Heard immunity is protecting the children who have not received their vaccinations yet. Where as people like you and your children pose a risk as you are potential carriers of contagion.
Your opinion is dangerous and you are not giving your own children the attention and care they deserve! Reconsider now before somebody dies because of your stupidity!
@ZAIZAIDevlin How about "herd" immunity, especially when you have the unbridled gall to call someone "stupid" simply because they see that our country is absolutely OVER THE TOP with the number of mandated vaccines.
@wamy49 You might think that mandated vaccines are unnecessary because of low prevalence in the US. But as long as 1. those diseases still exist and 2. immigration and tourism to and from countries where those diseases exist, those vaccines are necessary. We've stopped vaccinating for smallpox because it is extinct. We haven't stopped vaccinating for polio b/c while it is low prevalence, all it takes is one infected carrier from India to contact a tourist who brings it back home.
@Gilgamesh417 The smallpox vaccine, discontinued in the U.S. in 1971, DECADES later than in other countries, was stopped because of its extreme negative effects. And I'd highly recommend that you see this movie. I've been researching vaccines since 1978, and -- let me assure you -- we are NOT being told the truth. This movie is a very good start, and then I would highly recommend any of dozens of great books that are out there. My children are all adults, and all were unvaccinated. Thankfully.
@wamy49 Are you a doctor? What degrees do you have? Do you have a deep understanding of epidemiology, immunology and pharmacology? What regular science journals do you read? Nature? Scientific American? The Lancet (which retracted the Wakefield study in acknowledgement that it was flawed, ethically compromised and had questionable financial ties)? The British Medical Journal? New England Medical Journal? American Journal of Immunology?
@Gilgamesh417 Doctors aren't taught science based medicine. Read a medical textbook, many are ghostwritten. They are taught to memorize stated claims. Doctors were taught Vioxxx was a wonderful drug, they had no knowledge of how it worked or it's chemistry or biochemical interactions, none whatsoever. Now over 100,000 people are dead and finally Vioxx is off the market. But you go ahead and believe what your pharma educated doctor says okay.
@wamy49 You could research it your entire life - but 1. do you have basic science understanding? 2. do you have basic science reasoning skills and 3. have you read ACTUAL scientific journals and studies from REPUTABLE, PEER REVIEWED sources like Nature and Scientific American, Lancet, British Medical Journal, etc.?
@onewhitegirl1 Sure you are putting other people at risk. People who are immunocompromised (cancer, HIV/AIDS patients and genetically inborn), babies that are too young to vaccinate, the elderly, etc. The list is long. By not vaccinating, you are putting all those people at risk. And it is incredibly selfish of you to do so. Guess what?
Also, sure you could do the research but would you understand it? Did you take the 8 years of school doctors take? And even then, some doctors are idiots.
@onewhitegirl1 Ahhh, the arrogance of the ignorant. Unless you're telling me you understand how what makes for a good epidemiological study and the molecular mechanism of the immune system, how a vaccine works on a molecular level, how a vaccine is manufactured from start to end, etc., then you have no right to say "my self done research equals a doctor's 8 years of schooling." Not to be elitist, but people go to school to learn this stuff BETTER than you.
4/4 This period of hypo-responsiveness to carbohydrate antigens coincides with the intense myelination process in infants and young children, and conjugate vaccines may have disrupted evolutionary forces that favored early brain development over the need to protect infants and young children from capsular bacteria."
3/4 --"Conjugate vaccines fundamentally change the manner in which the immune systems of infants and young children function by deviating their immune responses to the targeted carbohydrate antigens from a state of hypo-responsiveness to a robust B2 B cell mediated response.
2/3 including Denmark and Israel where the vaccine was added to their national vaccine programs in 1993 and 1994, respectively.Starting in the late 1980's, there was a marked increase in the reported prevalence of autism spectrum disorders among children in the U.S. A similar increase was seen in Denmark and Israel. (Gee everyone, guess where Devon is from) ah, Denmark - 2/3
Per Mercola: 1988, the first conjugate vaccine was approved for use in the U.S. It was intended to protect infants and young children against Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib); a bacterial infection that can lead to pneumonia, infections of your blood, joints, bones, and pericardium. Historically, it has also been a leading cause of bacterial meningitis.Since that time, the vaccine has been approved in most developed countries, 1/3
BTW, Devon, that last posting was Old English right here in the good ole' US of A, of which you claim to know so much about, i.e, our vaccinations, but live in an entirely different country altogether, which makes your credibility even more laughable!
@DevonHartigan Disinformation is what you are all about. Nice spin there, I'm sure you fool some sheeple with that. Get educated and quit drinking the Kool-Aid. You're a small fish trying to play in a big pond with little to support you.
@PetTacular As your view is conflicting with every national serum institute in every country (including CDC), conflicts with the vast majority of all research and scientific plausibility, the odds are that you are the one spreading misinformation. Your view is the controversial one, and thinking that your "analytical sense" supersedes that of the firm consensus of the scientific communities, is the very definition of pretentious.
@DevonHartigan You must have had to use a dictionary for that paragraph...if you were able to think outside the box and look at the real statistics and scientific proof, instead of what is being spoon fed to you via Big Pharma via their falsified clinical studies that only get through by payoffs, there might be some hope, but you're not interested in Truth...only fairy tales
@PetTacular Yes, because I disagree with you, the only option is that I am either paid or brainwashed by the undefinable "Big Pharma". And you are the only one seeing the real truth. And all research showing that vaccines are basically safe an effective must have been tampered with. And all the books used to teach students at universities are also influenced by evil "Big Pharma". All these things are symptomatic of a conspiracist.
@DevonHartigan You really are clearly asleep. I say to you Devon, vaccinate yourself; did you get your flu shot, Hep B, Guardasil, Tetanus, MMR vaccines plus others? You'll find out, sadly, the hard way; you've become a mindless participant of the establishment. You clearly have no idea what's going on and your wild statements prove that
@PetTacular Yes I got all the standard vaccines in my country and I'm fine, so is everyone I know who also got the vaccines. And if calling out your bullshit and illogic is considered as wild statements, then so be it.
@DevonHartigan I wouldn't wish this on you even, Devon, but since they tend to be slow kills, you will see. Several years from now you will probably have cancer and remember this conversation. Please get educated...you have no idea what you are talking about because you haven't done the research, clearly, or you would know. You are just doing what your gov tells you to do because you are naive. You can't imagine that it would be different, and for this I genuinely feel sorry for you.
@PetTacular 1/3 of all men get cancer at some point in life so that is not impossible, but if I do, it will have nothing to do with the vaccines. Keep telling yourself that it is me who haven't done my research, though I actually read the medical litterature, and don't just "google research", if you want that to be true. But I guess you are used to deceiving yourself.
@DevonHartigan that's a good disinformationalist; state the obvious and then try to make it sound ridiculous; but if I were a betting man; I'd say you were paid. You've got too many comments on this site on everyone's post not to have an unnatural interest in this topic...
@PetTacular Hahaha so do you. Who were you paid by then? Jenny McCarthy? No it couldn't be that I actually care about the science, and see a dangerous tendency worth fighting? You just keep leeching on the herd immunity that we provide for you, and you cross you fingers that vaccine percentages stays above the immunity threshold.
@DevonHartigan Hey Devon, how much do you get paid for each posting? Glad to see you learned how to spell "herd" if you are to use it again. "Cross you fingers"??? What's that about? Doesn't make any sense. Anyway, despite your illiteracy, I could care less about percentages. That's what you rely on because you buy anything that someone with a job in the gov tells you, Hope you get the batch that Baxter just recalled on 300,000...whoops, "just a scientific error."
Respond to this video... You're the one mentioning all the conspiracies like you've been schooled ahead of time. Admit it, you're a paid shill. But you've done been found out! You're only told enough of the truth to uphold the lie...
@PetTacular Wow are you really serious in accusing me of being paid because I disagree with you. People disagree all the time. It doesn't mean that anyone is being paid. Deal with it! And first you say I'm uneducated, now I'm being paid by "Big Pharma". Freaking decide. Now go back to criticizing my spelling in my non-native language, because that is the classy thing to do, and avoids actually having to deal with the arguments *sarcasm*.
Coming from fear and not doing your due diligence about the greed, power and influence pharmaceutical companies have in our society does not mean that parents who choose to be educated or at least CURIOUS about this issue are the villains. If you were one of the "anecdotal" parents affected by Thimerisol, etc., you'd be singing a different tune.
Vaccines are bad because they contain Thimerisol which is Mercury! Blood Zappers and Colloidal Silver have always been much better options than vaccinations for preventing disease. Look at the history of Silver in medical use and Dr. Bob Beck for electric medicine...
I am not anti-vaccine but I am anti-Gardasil!!! After the first vaccine, my 17 year old daughter started having side effects. That one decision to allow the pediatrician to vaccinate her with Gardasil led to 18 months of hell!
@seonfox... When you're "research" extends beyond propaganda-feeding documentaries and naturalnewsdotcom (another fox news) then we might listen but until then keep visiting your local unlicensed unregulated naturopath and pay for an unfounded ineffective placebo treatment called accupuncture.
@DayneAW furthermore, where are you getting your "research" from, the convicted pedophile executives in the CDC? Your logic is twisted and your attacks against people that have experienced negative effects firsthand putrifying....keep drinking the Kool-aid.
Government needs to be shown that it is not it's job to protect the citizens health but their right's. If they it does not respond accordingly then it needs to be forced .
One word. Polio!!! Yes, lets all stop vaccinating and let hundred thousands of children be severely handicapped again because of your scientific ignorance. Even measles, which just 10 years ago was deemed eradicated, is coming back with a vengeance because people stop vaccinating. Measles which can and do cause severe complications, and for which mortality is 10% in African countries. When you stop vaccinating, you are putting everyone elses children at risk, including your own!
@DevonHartigan Use your head dummy. Why are these diseases coming back? Because of the vaccinations. I need to protect my kids and their intact, NORMAL immune systems from VACCINATED kids! Thanks, uneducated parents! You destroy your own kids.. and may hurt mine.
@seonfox Ok so you are saying that the vaccines cause the diseases they are trying prevent!? So the vast majority of the scientific community are trying give people diseases, or ignoring that it takes place? You have to be a conspiracy nut of proportions to actually believe that. And "uneducated"? I plus the majority of my social network have an university level education - two of them doctors, one a ph.d. biologist. None of them would even consider believing the nonsense.
@DevonHartigan You really are clueless! Big Pharma can and does do whatever they want for a profit. You take the drugs not to be cured, but so you are just well enough to keep coming back for more. Pretty common sense when you open your eyes. With all these autistic kids running around, they are making new "medications" to treat them. Do your research and then come back. Or keep believing the government gives a shit about you.. and so does Big Pharma. Ha!
@seonfox Yes, Big Pharma must have bought everyone! Do you seriously believe this? I can see the world is so much simpler to understand when you can just blame big corporations for all the evil in the world, but that is not how reality is. The world is complex and messy, and understanding it takes a lot of hard work. Which means understanding the science, reading the medical litterature, and not getting all the information from the first hit on google.
@DevonHartigan The fact is, your children are the ones that are going to be retarded, dead, or worse. Mine are going to be just fine. They're already much brighter and focused than their vaxxed classmates- even their teacher agrees.
@DevonHartigan Yes, I am calling people's kids "retarded" to be mean. Right now I'm calling YOU retarded to be mean. I am talking about what the vaccines do to children, and don't sit there and say "That's a conspiracy" unless you've met children who could talk and were normal until they got vaccines. Or mothers who lost their children because of them. Good day
@seonfox What the vaccines do is save kids (and adults) lives and prevent them from being crippled like with Polio in the 50'ies and up. You are buying into a hysteria with the best of intentions, but with the worst of consequences, and you are basing it all on personal observations and experiences, and calling everyone who disagrees as being bought off by big pharma. I'm will not accept the holes that your ignorance create in the "vaccine wall"/heard immunity, because you don't get science!
@DevonHartigan You need to do more research, as I've already stated. The kids that are getting diseases are usually the vaccinated ones anyway! If you have kids, you can sacrifice YOUR kids for "the greater good". Good parents will not do so. I'm not the one buying into anything and I have perfect, healthy unvaxxed kids with INTACT immune systems who RARELY get sick. You know what you can do with your "science?" :)
@seonfox And your "research" means googling, and uncontrolled personal and emotional observations. Funny how you keep using your kids as your only line of evidence, but I can understand it when you think all medical research is bought by big pharma. Would you even dare bringing you kids to the evil hospitals if they got sick, or are you relying on their perfect immune systems to handle it all. It's nice that you have createn you own little belief system bubble, that protects against reason.
@DevonHartigan I'd love to watch you be vaccinated with everything a baby is vaccinated with these days, all in one sitting. One more stupid person maimed. Bye, Mr. Scientist! Drink that fluoride!
Naaaaah couldn't be vaccines...They are loving good!

If his Pediatrician had not been located in the hospital center he might have not been here today.I have had several doctors acknowledge his reaction to vaccines.
jdolani 2 weeks ago 4
@jdolani So your child has a hypersensitivity to vaccines. That is a valid reason to be upset. But if your child had a hypersensitivity (allergy) to peanuts, would you proclaim that peanuts are not safe for anyone just because your child reacts poorly to them? Just food for thought. I feel like vaccines are portrayed poorly for the wrong reasons. If someone dies from an allergy to a food product, its not controversial. But if someone dies from a vaccine allergy? Chaos errupts. Doesn't seem fair.
TheMegsta 1 week ago
@TheMegsta My child is allergic to peanuts,we avoid them.If others want to eat them fine.Peanuts are not the same as vaccines.Peanuts grow in the ground and their protein make them harmful for some kids.Vaccines are full of things that are not good for anyone,do research the ingredients.Parent's are not fairly warned and are practically bullied into vaccines. They are full of known neurotoxins. No one is bullied into eating peanuts, not so with vaccines. Its about money! We all have to wake up!

Well in that case I guess we better just re-introduce smallpox (eradicated via vaccines) back into the population and see how people like that
TheMegsta 1 week ago
@TheMegsta Seriously? You think it's the(Thimerosal/Mercury containing compound) (Formaldehyde/odorless gas, known carcinogen/linked to cancer)( phenoxyethanol, also known as antifreeze) (Aluminum Hydroxide,Aluminum Sulfate,Aluminum Phosphate) and much more(Physician's Desk Reference) that make the vaccine effective? You do know it's the virus that is used to inoculate, right? Why not use safer stabilizers and preservatives and still not have smallpox.I want safer vaccines!

CORRELATION IS NOT CAUSATION
ubiquitinJF 1 month ago
@ubiquitinJF Yep but causation is causation. If you're shot with a bullet in the heart you will die. If you get poisoned by a vaccine then you're poisoned. Plain and simple. Vaccines cause autism. You know that because you rule out of the other possibilities. Does autism cause vaccines? No. Does a third factor cause autism? It hasn't been found over enormous samples, even as vaccination rates line up with the causations trends perfectly. Therefore that proves causation.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 Right, so 100% of autists received vaccines. They also breathed air, drank water and slept in beds. Air, water and beds therefore are the cause of autism.
ubiquitinJF 1 month ago
@ubiquitinJF Where are you getting this from? I didn't say 100% of autisics received vaccines. I simply said vaccines cause autism. You do understand the difference right? You were the one stating to know about causation yet now you can't seem to understand it. You need to read about correlation and causation instead of repeat one liners from the pharma lobby. You prove causation by ruling out the reverse and third variable factors, that's what i was showing you.
midtra52 1 month ago
@ubiquitinJF If you're still confused then try to think how do we know that flu viruses cause flu? Because everyone exposed to the flu gets the virus. Yes they all slept in bed and drank water, but so did the rest of the population. The different variable is the exposure to a flu virus. The different variable in many autism cases is vaccination.

Wow, some people don't get it!! Not only have some of us done our homework, but we have actually been adversely affected by vaccines!!! My son is now 9months, but suffered an allergic reaction to his 6months shots so badly that he had seizures, and the lining of some of his nerves has been stripped away. Some of us don't need a PhD to understand this first hand, our children have been hurt and we have NO choice but to find and know the facts!
elisesmom922 3 months ago

Gilgamesh417 3 months ago
@Gilgamesh417 Orac is on the payroll of Merck and has conducted research fraud on numerous occasions. Find me a study Orac did that wasn't fraudulent. The vaccine "court" isn't a court, there is no jury, and the "judge" doesn't have to review any of the evidence submitted. The fact that you're believing unsubstantiated claims on a blog (by Orac) with no scientific references whatsoever speaks to the credibility of your claims.
midtra52 1 month ago 8
@midtra52 No, I've actually read the studies myself. The anti-vaccine studies are poorly constructed and fail to factor in many simple epidemiological variables. Also, I defer the professional such as Orac. Also, all good researchers disclose conflicts of interest. Did Andrew Wakefield disclose his conflict of interest? No, he didn't. Why don't you question that some more?
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 I've never seen "anti-vaccine" studies. I'm talking about studies claiming vaccines work while omitting data, using false placebos, and throwing out every study that doesn't allow manipulation of data to prove the point the vaccine manufacturers set out to prove in the first place. Orac is not a professional. He's a salesman and you've been sold.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 Also, who cares how the court is structured? Didn't I mention that the court is favorable towards the plaintiff? That it is only required to demonstrate the veracity of the alleged injury and a temporal correlation between alleged injuries and vaccine and it's enough for the court to award damages. Where the heck are you getting your specifics on the vaccine court? Stop embodying the very worst of the anti-vax movement like ignoring wrong doing on your own side.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 I'm getting my specifics from being in the vaccine court. The "expert" testifying against me was on Merck's payroll. The special master hangs out with the pharma lobby every weekend and goes on vacations with them. They refused to admit evidence that proved causation. They refused to listen to my attorney. They made up claims that my attorney and myself had said things we never had. The whole thing was a complete farce done in private without a jury.
midtra52 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 All of this happens in vaccine court and you're not even allowed to point out when the court lies, or when the crooked doctor on pharma's payroll lies. They can lie all they want and you can't submit any evidence proving they lied. That's worse than the shady courts from USSR. The fact that you defend this and believe they should have legal immunity shows you care nothing for freedom, honest science, and the rule of law.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 Didn't I say that the vaccine court is highly favorable towards plaintiffs?
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 I don't think you understand who a plantiff is. The plantiff the the claimant, the one filing that the vaccine caused injury. The defendant in this case in the health and human services department. The court is highly favorable for the defendant, not the plantiff.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 You're an idiot. No, it is not highly favorable to the defendant you idiot. Generally, it tends to AWARD damages at a capped amount. Did you get that through your thick skull to your addled brain that believes in conspiracy theory garbage and ignores faults in your own arguments? The Vaccine Court TENDS TO FAVOR THOSE WHO CLAIM DAMAGES BECAUSE THEY ONLY NEED TO ESTABLISH A CONNECTION SUITABLE FOR A CIVIL LEGAL COURT. You're a moron.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Where are you getting this from? Why don't you try some facts instead of name calling. I have an attorney for a vaccine case and him and the special master both warned me that less than 10% of claims are awarded in the plaintiffs favor. Now I'm gettting my information directly from the court. So where are you getting your claims?
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 From Wikipedia:
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 There's your problem.. wikipedia. You realize wikipedia can and is edited by anyone and is not a reliable source. None of what you just quoted is true in the actual court.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 Additionally:
That percentage is 11%.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 That's autism buddy. There's a whole slew of other claims besides just autism.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 Additionally:
The VICP also applies to claims for injuries suffered before 1988; there were 4,264 of these claims of which 1,189 were compensated with awards totaling $903 million.
That is 27.9%.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Again... wikipedia is not fact. Come live in the real world instead of quoting statements from the pharmaceutical industry.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 So, just to be clear, your lawyer's statistics were wrong. Secondly, those are VERY generous statistics considering that vaccine damages are INCREDIBLY rare and vaccines have never been demonstrated to contribute to autism in study after study. Also, if you choose to dismiss those studies because they are funded by the NHS and NIH, maybe you should dismiss Wakefield's study because he had a patent for a vaccine that rivaled the vaccine he was studying and he was paid by plaintiffs.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 So the court is lying to me? And wikipedia is right? That's what you expect people to believe? There's not even a reference for the statements you quoted on wikipedia, you do realize that right? And what on Earth are you talking about Wakefield having a patent for a vaccine?? Show me that patent please. You're the only person that's ever heard of such a thing.
midtra52 1 month ago
@midtra52 You've never read down wikipedia? All you have to do is type in vaccine court on wikipedia, read those stats and read down to the citations. But since you're clearly too lazy to do that, National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program statistics reports . Health Resources and Services Administration. 2008-01-08. Retrieved 2008-01-22.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Yes and the reference is not there. Click on that reference, there's no page for it. But maybe you misunderstood your own math because even if those numbers are right they back up what I was saying because your own numbers showed that only 11% of claims filed were awarded to the plaintiff, that's called STACK AGAINST THE PLANTIFF. Not the other way around like you were claiming.

mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@mykoolaidtastesfunny I'm asking you legitimate questions. First, the anti-vaxxers said it was thimerosal. Autism rates didn't decline after the removal of thimerosal from vaccines. Now they say it's something else. That's not how science is done. I have no preconcieved notions or bias, only what the science informs. And the science, from carefully studied cell biology interactions to epidemiological studies, indicate that vaccines do NOT cause the disorders that anti-vaxxers say they cause.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 You aren't asking legitimate questions. You're displaying your bias. Gabby doesn't even have autism.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Gabby's DOCTOR admits her problems were caused by Gardasil. What info do you have that her Dr missed?
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Ever heard of second opinions? I've heard of the case before. Why don't the family seek a second opinion from another neurologist? Steven Novella, a neurologist at Yale Medical School, wishes that the family would seek another opinion because after watching the videos and reading up on the case details, he believes that it is a psychosomatic issue and NOT from an alleged vaccine damage.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Steve Novella never examined Gabi. He's NOT her doctor so I'm not interested in what he says. Her symptoms are acknowledged "side effects" of Gardasil. "Believe" isn't scientific evidence.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@mykoolaidtastesfunny And, again, there is a reason why patients will often seek out multiple doctors for opinions. Simply seeking and accepting the diagnosis of one physician is unacceptable - I certainly wouldn't. Not all physicians are competent and TOO MANY confuse correlation with causation. If you want a detailed take down, why don't you visit the blog Science-Based-Medicine and read The Greater Good: Pure, unadulterated anti-vaccine propaganda masquerading as a “balanced” documentary.

Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Lol...so now an oncologist is qualified to speak about vaccines but Gabi's own doctor doesn't get to? Wow...show some bias why don't you?
Gabi’s doctor confirms, in the film, that it was Gardisil that caused all this. She is upbeat and optimistic, because being negative will “only make it worse,” she says, but you can see the immense sadness in her eyes.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@mykoolaidtastesfunny First off, DID YOU EVEN READ ANY OF THE POINTS THAT I POINTED OUT? IF THE ONSET OF SYMPTOMS IS ACKNOWLEDGED TO BE WEEKS AFTER ALLEGED INSULT HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT IS CORRELATION?
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Why would I be interested in what some quacks say who never even examined Gabi?
You don't even have correlation with HPV and cervical cancer. You have a 1 in 400 association.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Gee.....I guess Gabi's DOCTOR must not be aware of that. I find you to be an angry belligerent joke. Seriously. How can you say a 1 in 400 association = proof that HPV even causes cervical cancer? If only 1 in 400 smokers got lung cancer I'd keep smoking.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@mykoolaidtastesfunny Concerning Gabi (if you're too biased to read it), he makes good points of: What exactly is her diagnosis? It is very vague. What's the timing of supposed insult and injury? Reports say symptoms developed within weeks of supposed insult. That is a weak correlation (and still remember that correlation doesn't equal causation)? Much could have happened in those intervening weeks. Finally, just because her doc thinks that the vaccine caused Gabi’s illness doesn’t make it so.
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 Honey...you are "projecting" It is not "bias" to listen to what Gabi's DOCTOR says instead of some random quack who never even examined her.
All you have is association that HPV causes cervical cancer. You don't even have a correlation. You're criticizing people who do the same thing you do. Only 1 in 400 people out of the many millions who have HPV even get cervical cancer. If only 1 in 400 smokers got lung cancer I would keep smoking.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@mykoolaidtastesfunny First off, why would David Gorski's opinion be invalid? He didn't even make any medical diagnosis. He simply pointed out problems with the film and with the case presented. Also, if you're NEVER going to read what the opposition says, then you're NEVER going to be able to create an informed decision are you?

Take all of those together: Fewer than 15,000 annual cases of allegedly HPV-related cancers for 6.2 million annual infections: 1 chance in 400 that an infection will be associated with a cancer.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@mykoolaidtastesfunny

@mykoolaidtastesfunny
Based on rough estimation, I see about 4-6 pre-cancerous cases out of about 50 cases per day. So in practice (not in theory) HPV-related disease of the cervix is closer to 1/8 or 1/12.

Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 You do realize Brian Deer is a journalist right? His references don't back up any of his claims either, if you can find references that do then let me know, but opinions are not facts. Why would I get medical education from a blog that references no medical books, no medical studies, and no statistical date, but is simply a collection of opinions and advertisements?
midtra52 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 But just a pointer, if you want to actually be EDUCATED. Then try reading medical books, scientific studies, the actual vaccine studies. Educate yourself instead of reading the blog of a doctor on a vaccine manufacturers payroll that doesn't bother to reference any actual scientific information!! You'll never learn if you simply read propaganda.
midtra52 1 month ago
Gilgamesh417 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 If you make your living off vaccines or are scared of getting sued....Of course you have bias. Who wants to have their funding cut off or be sued?
Attacking people and getting emotional doesn't make your case.

@Gilgamesh417 Scientists get caught lying for their corporate sponsors all the time. Getting paid doesn't make you right. Pharma co's get caught lying and hiding data REGULARLY.
How stupid do think people are? You only need to get lied to a few times before you realize you're dealing with a bunch of corrupt liars.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 month ago
@Gilgamesh417 I should also point out that establishing a connection suitable in civil court is not the case. I have the transcript from my case and they reference no cases in civil court, only cases in vaccine court. It specifically states "if a table injury is not listed per the vaccine in question the plaintiff must prove beyond all suspisions and possibilities that the vaccine is responsible for the damage" and that's impossible to do without a jury and a legitimate court.

You just might be saving your childs life....Wake up people!!!
onewhitegirl1 3 months ago
@onewhitegirl1
ZAIZAIDevlin 3 months ago
@ZAIZAIDevlin How about "herd" immunity, especially when you have the unbridled gall to call someone "stupid" simply because they see that our country is absolutely OVER THE TOP with the number of mandated vaccines.
wamy49 3 months ago
@wamy49
Good point! But if I was ignorant like 'onewhitegirl1' I would like to HEAR more about HERD immunity...
No, I am not a native English speaker either.
ZAIZAIDevlin 3 months ago
@wamy49 You might think that mandated vaccines are unnecessary because of low prevalence in the US. But as long as 1. those diseases still exist and 2. immigration and tourism to and from countries where those diseases exist, those vaccines are necessary. We've stopped vaccinating for smallpox because it is extinct. We haven't stopped vaccinating for polio b/c while it is low prevalence, all it takes is one infected carrier from India to contact a tourist who brings it back home.
Gilgamesh417 3 months ago
@Gilgamesh417 The smallpox vaccine, discontinued in the U.S. in 1971, DECADES later than in other countries, was stopped because of its extreme negative effects. And I'd highly recommend that you see this movie. I've been researching vaccines since 1978, and -- let me assure you -- we are NOT being told the truth. This movie is a very good start, and then I would highly recommend any of dozens of great books that are out there. My children are all adults, and all were unvaccinated. Thankfully.
wamy49 3 months ago
@wamy49 Are you a doctor? What degrees do you have? Do you have a deep understanding of epidemiology, immunology and pharmacology? What regular science journals do you read? Nature? Scientific American? The Lancet (which retracted the Wakefield study in acknowledgement that it was flawed, ethically compromised and had questionable financial ties)? The British Medical Journal? New England Medical Journal? American Journal of Immunology?
Gilgamesh417 3 months ago
@Gilgamesh417 Doctors aren't taught science based medicine. Read a medical textbook, many are ghostwritten. They are taught to memorize stated claims. Doctors were taught Vioxxx was a wonderful drug, they had no knowledge of how it worked or it's chemistry or biochemical interactions, none whatsoever. Now over 100,000 people are dead and finally Vioxx is off the market. But you go ahead and believe what your pharma educated doctor says okay.
midtra52 1 month ago
@wamy49 You could research it your entire life - but 1. do you have basic science understanding? 2. do you have basic science reasoning skills and 3. have you read ACTUAL scientific journals and studies from REPUTABLE, PEER REVIEWED sources like Nature and Scientific American, Lancet, British Medical Journal, etc.?
Gilgamesh417 3 months ago
@onewhitegirl1 Sure you are putting other people at risk. People who are immunocompromised (cancer, HIV/AIDS patients and genetically inborn), babies that are too young to vaccinate, the elderly, etc. The list is long. By not vaccinating, you are putting all those people at risk. And it is incredibly selfish of you to do so. Guess what?
Also, sure you could do the research but would you understand it? Did you take the 8 years of school doctors take? And even then, some doctors are idiots.
Gilgamesh417 3 months ago
@onewhitegirl1 Ahhh, the arrogance of the ignorant. Unless you're telling me you understand how what makes for a good epidemiological study and the molecular mechanism of the immune system, how a vaccine works on a molecular level, how a vaccine is manufactured from start to end, etc., then you have no right to say "my self done research equals a doctor's 8 years of schooling." Not to be elitist, but people go to school to learn this stuff BETTER than you.

@PetTacular Yes, because I disagree with you, the only option is that I am either paid or brainwashed by the undefinable "Big Pharma". And you are the only one seeing the real truth. PetTacular 3 months ago
@PetTacular 1/3 of all men get cancer at some point in life so that is not impossible, but if I do, it will have nothing to do with the vaccines. But I guess you are used to deceiving yourself.

@PetTacular Hahaha so do you. Who were you paid by then? Jenny McCarthy? No it couldn't be that I actually care about the science, and see a dangerous tendency worth fighting? @seonfox Ok so you are saying that the vaccines cause the diseases they are trying prevent!? Which means understanding the science, reading the medical litterature, and not getting all the information from the first hit on google.

DevonHartigan 3 months ago
@DevonHartigan You need to do more research, as I've already stated. The kids that are getting diseases are usually the vaccinated ones anyway! If you have kids, you can sacrifice YOUR kids for "the greater good". Good parents will not do so. seonfox 3 months ago
@seonfox And your "research" means googling, and uncontrolled personal and emotional observations. Funny how you keep using your kids as your only line of evidence, but I can understand it when you think all medical research is bought by big pharma. It's nice that you have createn you own little belief system bubble, that protects against reason.
