  • 311 People didn't call Debbie Harry.

  • It might seem ironic that pop songs of the 80s are now revered in the 2Ks as something hallowed and never to be re-lived. Still I cold have done without the blue excercise suit.

  • A giant pink cookie??? Hum ... Who cares. Anyway I love this song. Continue posting please.

  • 1:37 - 1:57 best moment of the '80s ever!

  • remember when .....hell yeah !!!! one two three call me!!!!!

  • I phoned the number in the video along with my local area code, a guy named gary answered he told me he gets 3 or 4 calls a year because of this video he didn't mind the call he loves the song.

  • A friend of mine told me today that I sound a little like Debbie Harry...I would love to know what you think, check out my channel and let me know!! I write original music..thanks!

  • Close your eyes, open your ears, your heart will know.

No one can sing these songs like Debbie Harry.

We loved you before we even saw you Blondie.

  • :awwyeah:

  • See, theres nothing wrong with using your beauty and sexiness if you have the talent to back it up.

  • she is a MILF

  • Listen to this short cover of the song. It's Eefje de Visser, who sang this version in a very popular tv-show in the Netherlands. Just search for 'Eefje de Visser - Call me - Dwdd Recordings 07-10-11 HD'

  • who else looked this up cuz of Haley Reinhart

  • She is one of the best

  • iam 23, and my hole life i was thinking i live in the wrong time... now i know!!! ^^

  • Wow stumbled on this sitting on my couch at home all alone on a late friday night. Feeling all lonely then i acidentaly hit the wrong key and it was on

  • This song was also the best selling single of 1980 in the USA.

  • @wallyinwales And it was featured in the 1980 film that made Richard Gere a star, "American Gigolo."

(The movie may have been why the song went #1, I can't recall.)

  • @DickieAnginson The film wasn't that big at the box office. The title role of the male was offered to John Travolta who started filming but then left, it was offered to Christopher Reeves next who also turned it down. The woman's role was offered to Julie Christie Then Meryl Streep who both turning it down finally Lauren Hutton excepted the role. The song Call Me was No1 in USA, UK. Canada. and mainly top 3 in many other countries around the world. The film is No 25 of 1980 rotten tomatoes award

  • @DickieAnginson The song stands alone as a classic I don't remember even hearing about the film when the song was No1. It is a great pop song, it was voted in the UK the No1 song of the 1980s which says a lot for the song. After the song success lots of adverts appeared in the back of certain news papers and magazine with adverts with pictures of glamorous blonde girls with the slogan CALL ME, DEBBIE SAID CALL ME ETC. it went on for years I think it started phone sex empires, I'm sure of it LOL

  • The music in this song was written by Giorgio Moroder the lyrics and vocals were by Debbie Harry.

  • otima musica descobri graças ao o rock band 2

  • Facebook app What was the #1 song on the day you were born? brought me hear

  • Debbie Harry is so beautiful :)

  • so. is this the actual music video? hmmmmm or the VEVO one?

  • Debbie Harry in her prime...she still looks smokin' hot today too!

  • Forget my previous comment this IS Children of the grave, it doesn't even deserve to be considered a copy because it's the same thing.

  • @zzzhuh-I must of missed the big synth section among other elements in the middle of Children of the Grave, which incidentally is just a copy of the Dr. No theme. It's a vaguely similar progression for a few seconds. Look up Child In Time and Bombay Calling or Some Kinda Hate and Teenage Kicks and you may figure something out.

  • @zzzhuh-Correction: Dr. Who theme. Time for bed.

  • @ihasch Dr.Who has a totally different beat but those other songs sound similar where as this sounds the exact same, I looked at the tabs and they are almost identical.

  • @zzzhuh-The Dr. Who theme has always been associated with Children of the Grave and also One of These Days by Pink Floyd, although there were a number of variations on the theme over the years depending on which season. I looked at the tabs and they didn't seem similar. They both have that double beat in the intros which in this song is played on the drums, although the notes are different. Then they go their separate ways.

  • 308 people do not have a phone.

  • like "I Was Made For Loving You Baby" by Kiss

  • Sounds like "Children of the Grave" by Black Sabbath.

  • CORNED BEEF

  • Poke me! you idiots

  • CLASSIC!

  • her excellency LADY BLONDIE

  • Everytime I hear this song I think to myself, why isn't used more in action movies? It'd be great, it doesn't even have to be for a female character.

  • Instant hero.

  • sono classse 62 classe di ferro e questa canzone mi fa diventare burro

  • Blondie is OK

  • bride of chucky! ;D

  • Oh - so many naughty dreams about this lady in my adolescence. If the nuns knew, I would have been thumped for sure.

  • That song brings back so many memories at the beginning of high school, girls and my attempt to go see adult films and succeed even though I was underage.

  • exelent blondie... call me ¡¡¡¡¡

  • Regine rules this song...

  • Duece Bigalow brought me here

  • @TintoyKumag You shouldn't be proud of that.

  • What I find here, are simply "images." Images of Ronald Reagan, and of an artistic and glamorous woman who once was, along with images of timeless music. I also find here, images of elder generations that saved America from the relentless "dumbing down" from progressives, marxists, communists, and socialist factions determined to destroy America's constitution by any means, and create new doctrines in their own likeness.

But hidden within this video, are the darker images of today's America.

  • You sure can see the Vandellas & Shangri-las in Blondie.

Cheri Currie, Joan Jet, Cindy Lauper and Madonna influence too.

  • a great time - 72 to mid 1980's was amazing time for music/clothes/youth culture - Bowie/Boland/Punk/Skins/Boobboys/Mods/New Romance/Genderbenders et el

have to pity youth today 2012 smothered by bland/crass/conservative/homophobic shite -

  • @Fireworxs2012 While your having your mucky thoughts about her, just remember she is old enough to be your grandma.

Still a very sexy lady though.

  • @Time71Team grand mother? lol.... I'll be 50 in a few months..according to you she's pushing 90... ? SHADUPP juinior...

  • @Fireworxs2012 lol, long time since i been called junior. I thought you were a hormonally challenged teenager but i stand corrected, you are a mature man who has the hots for an older woman, albeit a very beautiful and sexy woman.

The younger women today could learn a lot from her on what a classy sophisticated woman looks like.

  • @Time71Team Hmmm...A british medevial historian named Josie.... I'm intrigued... ;-)

  • @Fireworxs2012 Intrigued by my career or by my name?

  • @TheStardust12 We had the USSR and ICBM's, there were drugs then too - simpler, but drugs all the same. There was a killer recession with runaway inflation and another one term president, no internet, no cell phones, a few basic computers, but lots and lots of really great new music to keep us all sane through it all.

  • @spacewrangler39 Me, too! Late May of 80?

  • man when blondie was younger, she was so hot!

  • She's good stuff :)

  • the really shocking fact is that debbie was in her late thirtie,s when she did these vidio,s unbelievable but true

  • @MrBillythered Actually there was never an official video for this song so this video that we're looking at is a compilation of clips from various videos filmed in 1979 for their Eat to the Beat album which means she was in between her early to mid 30's. She was 33 or so in these clips. Not late 30's.

  • Someone should make a movie on the excellence of Blondie... I'd watch it :)

  • Call me 5-678-4676

You can call me. Via my Japanese keitai. It's 080 5140 6750.

If I regret this posting I will delete it.

  • I always play her cd in the car, driving to work :p

    shes the sh*t! <3

  • Trash style goooooooooood!!!

  • @AlessDaze23 Blondie is trash? Are you fucking insane? You must be one of those hipsters that think anything older than Justin Bieber is trash. Yes, you think it's cool, but it's stupid of you to even THINK this is trash.

Trash is something ridiculous/bad/stupid that's being enjoyed by others just because of the sheer badness/stupidity in which it excells.

Blondie has nothing to do with trash.

  • @endimion17 don't even bother! people nowadays are too ignorant and too shallow to even have the ability to recognize the best of the best! calling this trash tells a lot about that persons mind

  • @endimion17 With "trash" I mean a 80's style, I love blondie.

  • She says call me but she doesnt give any numbers. Typical girl =(

  • @699CHIP yes she did 636-1636

    At 1:25

  • @699CHIP 1:18 ...her number is 636-1636

  • @LuvGnomes I didnt know this

  • @699CHIP

You dont need her number. You might be some type of rapist or serial killer.

  • @699CHIP she wrote her number on his forhead with a sharpie permanent marker. I fthats not giving a number I do not know what is! lol

  • Vai... Me chama!

  • at 1:45 When she says : LLÁMAME ;)

  • @girodesentimientos Actually that part she's singing in French *amore, chiamami, chiamami

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, appelle-moi mon cherie, appelle-moi* =P

  • @girodesentimientos

She say "Amore chiamami, chiamami" pronunced "keamame" (it's italian).

  • Great video and song - thanks! :)

  • Lyla skitty baby: This video is meant to showcase 2 things: the song being sung "Call Me" and highlights of her life. You missed the point. Good post big mouth woman.

  • Such a rare species....a dance song with a powerful guitar rock sound!

  • I wish I had grown up in the 80s lol.

  • @HFLanciaStratos I know I did

  • @HFLanciaStratos fuck it you get it for free..we had to pay in the 80s

  • @HFLanciaStratos Yeah, and not born in the last month of the last year of this great decade!!

  • @HFLanciaStratos I did and it was awesome.

  • @HFLanciaStratos I did grow up in the 80's and it was everything that you think it was. It was the last decade before everything became illegal, immoral or deadly. In short, it was fun, alot of fun.

  • @vancvrman604 i'm jealous lol

  • @vancvrman604 Such as?? :D

  • @vancvrman604 No worries man, we're still doing it. Cause we are the 80's children. \m/

  • @vancvrman604 Vancouver, Canada, area code 604, was fun for about 2 years 1979-80, then the mass public hype-hysteria of the culture made the psychology of the masses go so far as to make the absurd triumph over the sensible, the insane triumph over the rational, and even the gay triumph over the straight, not to mention drugs & booze flowing freely like water; and "Winning Through Intimidation" (remember that book?) becoming the new social standard.

    And some real violence too.

  • @vancvrman604 lot of ppl die from stupid shit back then

  • @vancvrman604 the 80s were the peak of all civilization

  • @vancvrman604 no it was just the last time that people didn't give a shit.

  • @vancvrman604 i miss my ak47 and dancing to life during wartime

  • C'est moi ou à un moment elle dit " appelle moi mon chéri, appelle moi"

  • @PhantomHivBBL Oui oui je crois bien qu'elle dit ça !

  • DEBBIE..........TE AMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Do you like me?!!

  • Part of this video is not her singing call me. where she is standing on stage in a blue strapless is her another one of her songs. Dream something. I can't remember the name but it aint call me
