  • Sweet !

  • don't you hate how every time you shift you end up punching whatever is in your cup holder, in your case your ipod :P

  • @FreakyKing2 haha yeah i do that when i have a drink there and it pops the lid off lol sucks ass

  • Was that the stock exhaust hermano?

  • @georgibubu no that is a greddy evo 3 exhaust :)

  • Great little cars, the only issue i have had was a faulty o2 sensor that was replaced for free and a power steering coil cracked but replaced for like 30 bucks. I have an 05 with a CAI and want to change the exhaust soon. Whats the best bang for the buck?

  • @55wmudea idk for sure which is the best but i love my geddy evo 2 exhuast i love it. :)

  • @55wmudea i worked one 3 of these cars 02 03 and 04 all my best friends cars the only thing i would do first is get a header back system "no cats" becuz the cats loves to get clogged up and then the piston rings fail soon after, but besides that do way with the 2nd therostat those made the car a lot better in the long run. then intake, better susp. then do away with the bal shift in the bottom end and get it tuned. 2 of them have been sold and got WRXs and one got a turbonetics turbo kit.

  • @55wmudea but the turboed one is one the 2nd stock motor but we're building the first motor that the turbo fried with forged internels and worked head and cast iron sleeve the block bores so it soon should see atleast 15+ psi

  • Is your Spec V stock ? And did you get any major repairs to do on it so far ? I'm planning on buying one but someone told me that those cars are having major engine problems, but I also think Nissan is changing the problematic part (and the engine if damaged) free. Am I right ?

Oh and what about the torque steer ? Is it so bad as i've read in reviews ?

  • someone misinformed u my friend because this car is a great ride. i have had it for 3 years now and the only thing i had to fix on it was the o2 sensor. this car has nice torque and handles good. one downfall i have seen is that reverse seems to go out on these cars but its not a major problem. I have a greddy exhust evo 2 system , i have another video where u can see it at :D

  • @XXCents Its not that bad... the lsd can sometimes throw you off when you shift.. the only real complaints I have with mine is premium gas. but personally id look at a Mazda 3 GT they are about as fast similar tires and engine and handling but I like the interior better. and @5000rpm is the 2nd set of intake runners not the cam... also just noticed this was a year ago did you get one??

  • @lan00b Nope, I got a 2001 Prelude instead. Pretty quick car also, I like it a lot :) ( *I also complain about the premium gas though XD... @ 1.54$//liter it's just insane !!! Many people complain in the USA because they pay like 3.95$/gallon... But that's like less than 1$/liter... I'd like that !!! ( but I'm happy i'm not in Europe where they pay a lot more than here in montreal... )

  • @XXCents theres also different prices because a american dollar can be more value or less and then for instance we have taxes on our gas in america it all just depends.

  • I like the way the sound changes around 5000 RPM because of the different timing of the cam.

  • yeah i do too :D

  • @XXCents timing of the cam?? Those are the secondary intake runners opening up

  • @XXCents sorry to sound like a a-hole but the timing of the cams in this motor never changes like toyota vvt-i, honda vtec, etc, the sound diff in the QR25de "this motor" is the 2nd dery butterflys open inside the intake manifold "well between the intake manifold and the head. the 2nd dery butterflies work off of the vacuum that the motor mades at 4,500rpm

  • @rebeldawg124009

Allright thanks to correct me, I will at least have learned something today. Finally I bought a Honda Prelude --> Now this car has variable timing cams ! And I like it !

  • @XXCents honda prelude? lmao dude i spank those all the time and im all stock except for my greddy exhaust.

  • @alc84 I don't really care if you can beat a Prelude or not, I'm pretty satisfied with the performance and handling of my car so far. You're probably a good racer because they should be pretty close performance wise. Driver's race !

  • @XXCents very true. it all depends on the driver. my cousin has a mazda speed protege with a turbo and is about as fast as my spec v stock. i even seen a new vw beattle with a turbo and i still beat it stock. torque is everything and a good driver

  • @alc84

If he's keeping up stock for stock against your Spec V, you're not doing to well. My friend has a MSP, and bone stock he didn't pull more then half a fender against my bone stock '92 SE-R, which was 140HP compared to his 170HP and more torque from his turbo. He needed a SteedSpeed intake manifold to keep up with my friend's bone stock '03 Spec V, and that Spec is hitting 15.0-15.1's, whereas I was hitting 15.6-15.8's. The MSP was I'd say about 15.4-15.6

  • @PzownedProductions actually my spec v stock pushes 170 HP the only thing i have done to my car is a greddy evo 3 exhaust. and spec vs have good toruqe. so im sorry to tell u that if he can barely even match me with a turbo then that is pretty sad :)

  • @alc84

I know how much a Spec V pushes stock, but the thing about the MazdaSpeed Protege is that more work was put into the handling instead of the power plant. I used to think my B13 SE-R was a great handler, and the B15 Spec V was close, but the MSP was just amazing.

  • @PzownedProductions well i would hope that a slow moving car would handle well. :)

  • @alc84

Take it to a track and it is far from a slow car ;)

  • @PzownedProductions why use a track when the highway is a perfectly good speedway? and i already have raced my spec v against my cousins mazdaspeed protege so i know from experience what im talking about and even out of his own mouth he prefers the spec v tourqe over the turbo with no torque

  • @alc84

Unless you find me a highway with as many turns as Buttonwillow Raceway, Willow Springs, etc., it's not a fair comparison to stack up a road course econobox (MSP) against a more strip oriented econobox (Spec V) on a straight-away.

  • LMAO i wasnt even hiting it full on, i was just doing a test run. I can make it sequel in first and second, never tried to in third LMAO :D

  • third definitely will chirp for a second lol

  • wow what happen wheres the incredible chirp on 2 gear

  • stock specs are quiet

  • well mine is an 04. I have the matching shifter knob with the floor mats as well with the SE-R Logo. I like mine just fine.

  • I hate the shifer knobs on the earlier specs, they look girley to me, a friend of mine has an 02, mines an 06 and i like it much better, but i do like the front end better on the earlier specs

  • yea they were ugly.....new ones wayy better

  • I like my golf club shifter, thank you very much

    hahahah
