Most fun ive had with a total war game in a long time. I went through a Isengard campaign, it was epic. I even had a realistic battle at helms deep instead of just 2 troops staioned there.
Its so much more fun to play Sauron's forces in this, I like playing Evil Men but that i s just me Lol uruk's and orcs tire out too fast for me to kill anything siginificant XB
the one thing i didnt like about this modwas how rediculous the upkeep is for the orc factions, because i didnt know that the lord of darkness pays his minions, and even cared to re supply them...
@kickthecat75 i know how you feel but it should be very low, but its just to balance out the game, cause you in one battalion you mostly have 100 more orcs than human, elven, dwarf fractions

What you make is based on how you build your economy, If you dont upgrade roads,bazaars,marketplaces etc. Then ofc you wont make anything because you failed to upgrade those things. You can also increase the tax rate your town has, large cities usually you can max the tax out and get a pretty penny with. Unit selection is also another factor. You can't expect to pay nothing at all and get to have the strongest units in game.

@kickthecat75 Thats because you went after factions that youre allies werent attacking, If you attack a settlement with your allies and YOU capture it YOU keep it. I.E: Call for an invasion of a super large city, occupy it. Dont break apart and go on your own LoTR campaign when youre the faction on the frontlines of the evil races. OoMM have a shity income ANYWAY! They are dealt one of the worst starting areas in the game. Its been said a few times in the moddb forums.
@Itwaslag wtf are you talking about, i was doing the plan it told me to do, i pushed all the way to the igh elves and removed the dwarves from the left of the map, the only thing left was high elves and a single city in shire, thats why im wondering why i have crap income i built every building and still hardly getting nothing. you obviously must think i have never played total war games before...
@Itwaslag how am i failing.. i upgraded every money making building from the misty mountains to the left ocean, and i could still only support 3 max armys... that is obviously the games fault, i never have problems in other mods only this one, its not "realistic" to keep the evil factions from massing late game
@kickthecat75 Depending on how much your units cost per turn yes it is "Realistic" to have end game units cost more then the starting units. So, its not that your settlements arent supporting your soldiers its that you have too many elite soldiers that your trying to invade with. You dont need massive armies all over the god forsaken place. Make 1 massive army and that will solve your problem.
@Itwaslag wtf are you talking about you need atleast 1.5 full stacks because every goddamn time i attack a city the computer max stacks with tech2 + units.... also with the money bonus thay get each turn to make it "fair" for the computer makes it so every 6 turns theres another max stack attacking one of your citys ( depending on what race you choose , iv noticed isenguard has the worst problem with this )
@kickthecat75 This is why you have archers covering the frontal attack of the city with infantry infront of them -.-; Also cavalry to go outside and kill the general before they even make it to your walls. You dont always need to have a full blown attack froce as ive said previously.

The whole environemt would have to be changed, from Japan to Middle Earth, something more medival - and since Empire, the game has become way more difficult to mod (so i think it might even be impossible, but if not more then unlikley...)
@MasterBigAb They actually have have mod in Empire. But model and UV wise, did not go much further than the base game. And first time seen shogun 2 makes me wonder how a NORMAL PC gonna run a mod in Shogun 2. As mod always have higher requirement than the base game. And I doubt my laptop can run even the base game itself. So I stick with medieval total war for my laptop and Shogun 2 in PC with better graphic and processor.

If they had reached an agreement with SEGA(and made more maps for the campaign, as Helms deep, minas tirith....) i think this mod could had easily been sold as an expansion, as it is perhaps the best RTS which have been done regarding middle earth.

Now for some reason when i play custom battles and try and do sieges it always says "Medival 2 total war has encountered a problem and will now exit". Its annoying. @theconcepcions the Rhunic people are a faction of men from the East. They're the big dragon guys with scaley gold armor and halberds. And the men of Harad are also from the East, only sort of South-East I guess. They're the guys with elephants and cloth armor and stuff that get ambushed by the Rangers of Ithilien. Both groups of men are "evil" and under the control of Sauron
um couldn't u just call orcs of the misty mountains goblins? i mean they look like there a mix of the two and the name would be easier =P. other than that really cool.

@R0M4NC4ND1E52 Yap kind of, it will be installed in it's own folder so it doesn't change or affect any orginal files and you'll get a launcher on your desktop...

Don't worry, Third Age creates it's own subfolder so you can play the mod and all normal games as well...
It doesn't affect the original game at all, it just adds another option Third Age.

I want to know if this has happned to anyone: I downloaded thrid age yesterday and there was the white ui bug but i downloaded the patch. Now for some reason when i play custom battles and try and do sieges it always says "Medival 2 total war has encountered a problem and will now exit". Its annoying. Another problem i have is that the game lags alot but when i play m2tw and kingdoms it runs smooth.

ive donwloaded it and installed it, ive got medieval gold installed (kingdoms and the normal version) but it when i start it it says: instert the kingdoms cd..... Anny sugestions how i can fix that???/

@theconcepcions the Rhunic people are a faction of men from the East. They're the big dragon guys with scaley gold armor and halberds. And the men of Harad are also from the East, only sort of South-East I guess. They're the guys with elephants and cloth armor and stuff that get ambushed by the Rangers of Ithilien. Both groups of men are "evil" and under the control of Sauron

Kingdoms does patch Medieval 2 to 1.3...
You should have the actual kingoms patch installed, so.... (i think 1.5)

Some say it runs with normal Kingdoms, but i would get patch 1.5 to run on the save side...

I have a problem.
I am playing the Orcs of the MM but I can't seem to get the ability to build troll training grounds. I upgraded Moria and some other city to the highest rank possible but I never got the ability to train trolls. How can I get a troll training ground.?
