Kurrgan was pushed pretty hard as a monster heel early on but his star soon faded.

It was years before I learned that Golga was Earthquake (John Tenta) He had lost so much weight here he was unrecognizable.

I remember Don Callis was asked many many years ago what group of his he enjoyed managing the most amongst The Truth Commission, The Acolytes, and The Parade of Human Oddities. Believe it or not, he said The Oddities because he thought the gimmick had the most potential. I am assuming he was thinking as heels at the time and didn't predict what WWE would do with them, as they did turn out to be a huge success when they turned face. But as heels, this was the worst of his 3 factions, by far.

They could never find anything for Kurrgan to do in WWF. He wasn't bad, a little loose in the ring once and a while but so was Chris Jerricho at this time. The Oddities were just a bad match, Kurrgan can't do comedy well. If they had focused on a horror angle it might have worked better.

The Truth Commission gimmick he was part of in USWA didn't have wheels either. That had already been a failure with Col. DeBeers 10 years earlier.

Pity, Tenta was wrestling well at that weight.
