  • @Swooshswish Erm no...As George Harrison said, Lennon was not only aware that guitars had 6 strings but also didn't know how to tune it. McCartney had written his own song by the time he met Lennon. Infact, it was McCartney inspired Lennon. He only took up writing songs to match McCartney's songwriting ability. However, Lennon was much too stubborn to admit this. McCartney inspired Lennon. Not the other way around. You called Ringo the "useless one". Epitomises what a Beatles "fan" you are.

  • Love it!!!

  • Paul played a little bit of this song in Michael parkibsons talkshow 1999 I think it was.

  • i read that this was made during the Ram sessions on wiki... nice!

  • q drogadicto este tema

  • dear rupert

s friend windy, as far as clamcoes go and flamingeauxs...

    it's fine

    /watch?v=FCARADb9asE&feature=related

the rapture seemed to leave the rest

    of us here in 2011

you never give us our situation of orr in history

as related to sevenths ninths and progressivessives unending as a rounder record couldn't have made ever perfectingly of it's self!

  • Love the guitar work by hugh McCracken ...he's brother is an even better player -yet nobody took him seriously cos he's name was PHIL .

  • this is Two Fingers a whistle tune he played somewhere (i forgot) but i loved the whistle tune so much that i whistled it EVERYWHERE i went. at school, on the bus, at home, in the grocery store. and no one would know what i was whistling.

  • Yet another of McCartney's unreleased, never played songs. Wish he would bring them all out all at once and shock the world.

  • oh Paul, He's a great man. Thanks for the video! Amazzing pictures. Linda really seemed to put Paul down.

  • Paul isn't always Mr. Happy.

  • damn, 1:38 seems like Linda is still with him...

  • @MichalFokt yea for real, thats a sad picture

  • I have always liked this tune. Paul is a real wing dinger of a melancholy song writer and this song is rife with that feel. No one else does this wistful sad type of song better. No one.

  • @jimidee33 - Absolutely agree.

  • sounds like bluebird

  • fucking bow down

  • It's "Ruppert The Frog" and not the bear !!!

  • Wild Life had a bunch of crap songs on it, and yet he left this one on the back burner??

  • @superman11978 I thumbs downed you mother fucker. Wild Life is one of the best Wings albums ever made

  • @pauljames00 Learn to tolerate differing opinions. The funny thing is I'm sure we both share the same opinion of Paul's genius. I don't like everything he's ever done, but I LOVE most of it.

  • Wow I've never heard this song before.

  • absolutely beautiful song. wish i could find this song on an album

  • Beautiful Macca.

  • One of my all-time favourites by McCartney. Wonder what he'll use it for one day?

  • Such a shame that this song wasn't published for real.

  • Heavy Burt Bacharach influence.

  • I feel like falling asleep...In a good way.

Also, Denny Laine- Does this sound extremely coincidental to anyone else?

  • Anybody know what chords are in this song? Standard guitar tuning? Open?

  • @raidereddie Play an 'A' with open 'B' string. You should get the rest.

  • @lumbago12 Thanks!

  • @raidereddie Basically like this, Am9-Em-E7, Am9-G-C, bridge: A7-Dm-G-C

  • The beautiful melody along with the slow bossa nova style rhythm brings a haunting sound to the song.

  • I love the picture at 1.14. Paul loved Linda so much.

Long John Silver never managed to replace her.

  • I'd listen to this for long hours thinking of whatever thing happened to be in my mind

  • I love this song!

  • This is brilliant.. Paul really has Latin American/Bossa Nova Jazz infused in his soul. This is the case wtih songs like And I Love Her from The Beatles, Distractions on Flowers in the Dirt and even more recently, A Certain Softness from Chaos and Creation in the Backyard

  • this song is beautiful. the bit paul played of it on the Parkinson show was really special since Paul whisteled it and paul's whistle is heavenly

  • was this ever released on an album or as a single?

  • sweet, thanks for that

  • so fucking beautiful

  • IMPRESIONANTE

  • beautiful!

  • A contemporary Master and genius of Music!!!!!!!!!!!!

    *} M

  • I couldn't agree more Mine!! This song has Paul's name all over it! Just brilliant!!

  • Absolutely, as you say, BRILLIANT, simply BRILLIANT!!!

    LOVE it!!

    M *} *******

  • anyone know when the pic of paul and denny was taken?

  • @Flyingpig437 it msut have been around 1977 when laine,Paul and Linda were the only remaining members of Wings after the 2 others left after work in the Carribean. around the time the album "London Town" was made because all promos for it are also just the McCartneys and Laine

  • hey any body knows... where can i found this song.. where can i dowload it!!... its pretty nice

  • this is so cool. should have been on the triple album "The Beatles". if you understand what i mean!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • no lyrics? i hear only music

  • there's a couple of words- not many, mostly la la la/ na na na soflty sung.

  • brilliant....is there more ?

  • sad but beautiful.

  • Beautiful tune

  • he's so lovely. dear lord.

  • 1:38...the way its supposed to be.

  • The melody reminds me of "My Love" on the part when the vocal (the da's) drops down.

  • hah he dresses like House in some of these pics. This track is awesome, I wish it would've made his first LP. quite a goldmine for beatmakers as well

  • really nice, strange that this one (and many others too) didn't appear in any "Best of" until now. Usually they put inside also some unreleased songs.

  • there's a non-bootleg version of this?!

  • I love when McCartney whistle, he is a genius.

  • wow. just when i thought i heard it all. when did this come out? somebody help.

  • After Mary was born ,he was looking at a Picasso Print of a Guitarist using 2 fingers, search {2 fingers} or read info top right.here..

  • Comment removed

  • @blkmanbat it was written around the time of the Rupert The Bear sessions and riht after Paul's first daughter, mary, was born becuase he wrote this while at the hospital with Linda and the baby when he was a Picaso painting of an old man playing guitar with 2 fingers there, looked at the fingers and made up a song using the chord in the painting and used only 2 finger chords the whole song. he talks about it in an interview on the Parkinson show & plays a bit of it on the tv show in the70's

  • 2:48

  • Junk and Night-out are my other unknown favorites by Paul..

  • Junk is one of my all time favorites!

  • @imranicus Lennon taught him all that he knows, he took him and turned him into the man that he is 2day and the life he leads its all because of lennon, lennon, lennon the most talented of the beatles and paul comes close and then george and whos the last one that useless beatle......i forgot his name, nevermind cuz hes the useless one....

  • @Swooshswish Ok... thats your point of view, and somewhat valid, without Lennon, McCartney would not be the McCartney he is. The same can be said about Lennon. Without McCartny's drive and ambition, Lennon (and maybe even the Beatles) would probably have faded away in a drug fuled haze after Revolver and Brian Epstein's death.

  • @Swooshswish I'm fairly certain that when John met Paul, John didn't know how to tune a guitar, and he played it like a banjo. Paul taught him the basics, and they learned the rest together. They learned song writing together. Did pretty much everything at the same pace. I read a study that said Lennon songs, Lennon/McCartney songs, and Harrison songs were all similar in structure, but Paul's were very different. He had his own style that he developed outside of their relationship.

  • Does anybody know whether that "Beatlesons" photo was taken at a gathering of those guys(an unaltered photo) or was it "photoshopped?"

Just wondering if all those guys have gotten together like that or not.....

  • @iciavosser i think its not real- the Beatles kdis have never all reunited- a few have like in the same family and some will attend the others events privately not likea reunion or anything

  • What d'you mean "all beatles sons?" John had 2, Ringo 2, Paul 1 and George 1. That makes 6! :)

  • beautifull!!!!!!!!!

  • lol @ 2:35, what a sweet pic

  • This song is from the Rupert the Bear Soundtrack, where all the songs are pretty well easy listening like this track.

  • 1.40 That I know is true...

  • aah, .41. Why I could look at that all day long.

  • Ohh men it's so great and have a interesting story about the song..And it's unbelieaveble, i love Picasso, and Pauly too.. It's a great video thank you so much for put it.

  • lovely tune, very soothing...

  • Its a nice, peaceful, easy-listening song. If only I knew what the hell he was singing in the background.

  • "When the wind is Blowing" is all i could make out.

  • This is a beautiful song and it does seem to fit well in Ram era, I wonder why it was never released..

  • very nice!

  • WHERE IS SONG COME FROM?

  • It explained under _more info_ at upper right and in another video post.

  • Search Youtube for "Two-fingers" or click link under red line under video.

  • nice 1

  • did anyone notice that paul looks the same young as he did old lol

  • I love it !

  • Why are so angry

  • If you're going to feed the troll, you can at least be more clever than calling him a hermaphrodite. But you certainly nailed him with the "sad little man" insult. Oh that one is just biting with acid!

  • Nice to meet a decent American, after chatting with dear old Mike, you have restored my faith, cheers.

  • So what's "babbon"? (??????????????)

  • This is really good. Never heard it b4 and how mellow? Nice pics 2 go with the vid. Thanx 4 the post!

  • Holy crap! Is that recent photo with Paul and Denny Laine at minute 2:52? I thought they weren't exactly simpatico...

  • Very nice, thank you.

    Ram on,

    Joe.

  • The two surviving Beatles at 0:18! Wonderful! We love you Paul and Ringo!

  • How do I get the audio..?

  • Not totally sure about the 5 Beatlesons you refer to at 3.20? Dhani is far right, then Julian, then Sean?, then James, then Zak?... though not totally sure. I take it Jason is the odd one out? There appears to be a separate band calling themselves The Beatlesons!

  • Wonder why this song was never released... It's so peaceful and beautiful

  • My guess ,is that it is a tribute to his daughter Mary, and the lyrics are a personal statement to her only.

  • He saw a picture of an old man two fingering a guitar as he waited, in the hospital, before his daughter mary was born. and wondered if he could figure out want the man was playing. This song is also called "two fingers" to search it on youtube.

  • Is that first photo of Al Pacino?

  • nice slideshow, awesome tune. i like your work. thanks for sharing this with us.

  • What an excellent tune... and a really fine slideshow too!

  • Great melody, as ALWAYS.... Sounds like a tune that he did in the studio, but never got around to writing lyrics for? Unless it was intentionally written as an instrumental....

  • Search Two fingers - Paul McCartney to learn about the origin of the song.

  • Where do people get all these unreleased Beatle related songs?

  • Oh they all lie about them being unreleased. They like to pretend only they have the song. Rare yes. Unreleased means only no official pressing. Paul does this song live on a TV show. Many versions available on You Tube. Ed

  • hey boneless, this song has never been officially released you turd.

  • Learn to read my comment before you make a bigger ass out of yourself. Babbon fucker. Maybe English is you second language. In that case you are forgiven. Ed

  • Clueless fuck? I thought I was a 'babbon fucker' - when did that change?

  • Changes as the wind is blowing or as often as you give a blow job. More often the ladder. Ed

  • It was the Parkinson show if you type in 'two fingers and McCartney' you should find it. I actually think I prefer that version.

  • I wish somebody had the chords/tabs for this. If anybody has them please send them to me!

  • May not have lyrics, but better than nothing.

  • I hear him singing something faintly in the background. I can't make anything out except for "When the wind is blowing", though.

  • nice ..cheers
