  • ow! man @.@

  • DIR EN GREY 's director really knows what he is doing. Their videos are the best.

  • この曲 好き

  • Love this song.

GOOD: Dir en grey is so diverse.

BAD: Dir en grey is so diverse.

There is a divide of fans who appreciate the pre-Withering to death Diru versus the heavier, less visual Diru up to now.

I can listen to this and enjoy it just as much as Different Sense. Its just preference i guess. I wish all Diru fans could be "one" though.

  • 泣けてきた~~涙涙涙

  • 今更訊きますが、この曲でアルペジオを奏でているのは薫でしょうか?Dieでしょうか?

  • this song makes me wanna cry!!!

  • Taiyou no Ao

  • diru forever

  • This song makes me happy... and sad.. :( I love dir en gray regardless of if they're singing saku or singing like this :)

  • This has to be the most perfect, beautiful Diru PV ever made. Holy shit.

  • I've always found this to be one of the saddest and happiest Dir en grey songs. It is rather melancholy throughout, but at the end there seems to be hope.

  • of all dir en grey songs I've always had a fondness for this one the most. Even though I don't listen to them (or any Rock/J-Rock music anymore) this song still haunts me. Especially the remix from KAI.

  • Actually, how would one write the title using the English alphabet

  • What's the name of this song in English??

  • @pileopuppies Taiyo No Ao :D

  • せつねぇ。

    Dirってこういう曲もアリだよね。

  • what is the name of this song in eng??

  • @nellbellkim song is taiyou no aoi, i think,

    love this song!

  • @nellbellkim @pileopuppies It would be

Blue Sun in english. or it could also be translated into Midori Sun.

  • i love this

  • this is amazing

  • whatever, this song owns.

  • It does own, it was my friend who wrote that. Sorry.

  • lol np. this song does own tho...

  • Kyo makes me think of a cat in this video. I don't even know why.

  • at 1:52, isnt that a bell around his neck? o,o

  • I think it's just a necklace, but it looks like a bell.

  • Plz don't say that poor, poor, butchered Japanese word ;_; it does look like a bell tho xD

  • うわ~~~よみがえった~~~

    当時思い出した

    せつないあの頃

  • Wow I never heard this song before. Um... well lets see here they look like DEG, they sound like DEG, but the song is NOT DEG style lol.

  • lol apperantly you havent seen/heard their OLDER stuff >.> plz do your research, dude. By the way, for the person who posted this, thx a bunch for posting this in HQ ^^

  • Yeah, I do listen to their old stuff. I have the Gauze album on my Ipod, and the Vulgar album as well.

  • i love this song, but whenever i listen to it i think a a pineapple

  • lol. idk. something about kyo's hair in the video, and the sound of the song is very "fruity". not in a bad way

  • u_u such a sad song

  • 想い出の曲〜☆

  • i heard this is a song about kyos ex fiance that left him for his best friend? is that true?

  • who would be such an idiot to leave a man like kyo8O

  • ok, i did some research and it said that it was during the la:sadies time, and that it wastheir previous bassist, kisaki (the bassist in phantasmagori), kyo said that in an interview, but was that part true? it was stated that it was one of the few interviews he hasnt lied in

  • wow you've have done a LOT of research...thanks for that,it's really interesting but i know less than you do :D

  • Fffffff he never said Kisaki.

  • @kakulaacs I don't know. Maybe she didn't want a guy who looked like a hot chick.

  • whats this song called?

  • taiyou no ao

  • I love this song, but I'm glad they are not as Flamboyant as they used to be, I think they grew out of that image.

  • i actually like that image more...

but more on Shinya-san than the rest

  • happy birthday kyo<3

  • Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuurve!! n_n

  • I love this song!!

  • yeah, it's from macabre (2000) o_o but sometimes i wish they'd look now like on this video u_u

  • taiyou no ao is such a beautiful song..

  • This is a yellow song.

  • I listen to this song in every summer.

  • This video is great, I wish they did more videos for the Macabre album like Berry or Egniyrs Cimredopyh.

  • How about "Macabre" itself? Kyo sings about a bird and some insect it devours. Just think how cool yet creepy that'd be. ^_^ It'd be a longer video than either "Vinushka" or "Mazohyst of Decadence" though... o_O

  • この歌、夏場カラオケでよく歌います。

  • dir en grey? O_O...wat happened y are they all nice looking now .. o_o nooooooooooooo T__T come back ..still like the song though lol :)

  • great song, miss the old dir en grey ^^ they did a great change though..

  • What is the english translation for 太陽の碧 or Taiyou no ao?

  • It could be translated into "Blue of The Sun" ..or just simply Blue Sun ^^

  • alrighty thanx 4 the help!

  • how famous are dir en grey in japan?

    wicked vid :3

  • Dir en grey is the No.1 rock band of Japan. Rank in is always carried out to Original Confidence in spite of showing no exposure as media.

  • @yannsi2000 This is not true, they are very successful, but B'z are officially the No. 1 best selling band, let alone rock band in Asia. Dur to the alternative nature of Dir en Grey, they will never hit a mainstream audience, as Alternative Metal goes, they are huge though...

  • @blingadingading

It's true. The success of B'z is probably among the most unheard of. Unless I missed something recently, I don't believe they've ever once failed to get #1 for a single. (This has continued at least as far forth as Ai no Bakudan.)

Mr. Children is very successful as well I think, but I don't think they've been established as long as B'z (though longer than Dir en grey?).

It's kind of hard to say.

  • @yannsi2000 There' not even n° 10 rock band in Japan.

X Japan is the greatest rock band ever actually !

  • @RaidenWKW fix: LUNA SEA, not X japan (X japan is quite overrated FYI)

  • @prznt X is much older then Luna Sea, LS is under YOSHIKIs musiclabel "Extasy Records". X is known as the greatest and most legendary Rock band in Jaoanese History..

  • @KuroNaoki X japan fan on the move, i guess? (facepalm) kthanksgtfo.

  • @prznt I'm serious, I love both bands and I know that X are known as the greatest band. Did you ever saw them live? I saw both live, Luna Sea in Bochum in November and X in Berlin, last week. So, I'm serious. *FACEPALM*

  • @KuroNaoki Meeh, I am not fond of their stadium rock - style anymore, I might take up BB and Jealousy for example but songs like Jade or that another new song, instant no no for me - in this case, DEG wins it all with their constant genre changes. X Japan didnt progress at all since Dahlia

  • @prznt Well, they lost an important member too. And I think Sugizo fits Luna Sea better. But I looove when Sugizo and Yoshiki are playing violine and Piano together~

Jade is good to perform live because everyone can sing along at some parts :D

But it's all a matter of taste ><

  • @KuroNaoki Finally agreeing with you somehow, except when it comes to Jade but nevermind

Yeah, each to their own, I prefer LS to this and you do otherwise ^^

  • @prznt It would be boring if everyone had the same taste ^__^

  • @KuroNaoki Btw, X Japan's ex-member Taiji is dead - that's what I am really sad for - I am not so big on X but he was my favorite member :(

  • @prznt Heard it too today... >__< RIP Taiji..

  • @kinkunki

I firmly believe Dir is No.1 Rock band. they are amazing.

But "Dir en grey" , this name is known as old Visual-kei band in Japan.

Old Dir was "super Visual-kei" , and general people still recognize Dir as V-kei.

when they were V-kei, they went out to media much

a lot of people has discriminatory feeling for Visual-kei. This is true.

    (I don't hate V-kei, I love them)

Sadly, Dir(now, well known to world rock scene) is not known so.

    BY japanese fan

  • @jurijuri318

I feel pretty similarly, I think they are tops but not quite the only no. 1 for me. I like how they were back then too (despite not knowing until before Vulgar), and other V-kei.

Yeah I guess they do seem somehow less mainstream now in a way (I think you're saying that). The weird thing about them is how sporadically they release singles anymore. (Not really a big deal at all, but I was surprised Marrow had THREE singles, ha ha ha.)

  • What is with the girl with the long red hair, she is only flashed so briefly...

  • I'm sorry though it is not good at English because I am Japanese. I love Dir en grey. I especially like cage and Yokan.

What meaning is in the word "awsome"?

  • Awesome means..."great!" or...umm...very "impressive". ^_^

  • great, beautiful, briliant, best, しゃん, みごと,べすと. That kind, anyway しゃん video!

  • 素敵, 素晴しい,凄い yeah.

Synonymous with "cool" but we don't really use that word too much anymore it seems like. Possibly from overuse in the 90's heheh...

  • @yannsi2000 "awsome" is the misspelling of "awesome" which means in Japanese: 素晴らしい.

  • @yannsi2000 :

I don't know japanese but "Awesome" would mean something along the lines of wonderful, "suteki" or すてき. Basically what Dir En Grey's music is.

  • @yannsi2000 It means increadible, excellent beyond belief, to have achieved great heights, to excel at something strongly. It is one of the highest compliments that can be given.

  • @yannsi2000 uhm means fantastic good and best, my japanese isnt good i think its like Sugoi, dai suki

  • @yannsi2000 Awesome means something that you feel deep inside that is truly great and leaves you with no words to say about it. It fills you with awe, like seeing the face of God.

  • @yannsi2000 sugoi

  • @yannsi2000 sugoi

  • its wicked awsome!!!! i love Dir en Grey!!!!
