This made me smile and weep like a child. True story, when we cremated mum, I stayed in her home to empty it and tidy things up. The last time I left I took mums ashes home with me. My partner was pregnant with our second child and my son was in the back of the car. Soooooo we travel home, silence then BANG! a kid runs across the road straight into the car, he goes up in the air. It was like Buster Keaton, you can't write this stuff, he was OK and he only wanted an ice cream.

@EndPenLoony Oh... Jesus... what a way to punctuate a sad day! Glad he was OK... as a kid I was hit or hit by cars several times while on my bike. I never once thought to cause a scene over it and just limped away.

@rylandheights I can see the sureal humour now, but I can also see the boys eyes on the end of storks. He started crying and saying how sorry he was. His parents witnessed the whole shebang. The mother was consoling my partner saying "dont worry love, he gets run over all the time" lol I was was run over wearing a batman outfit, riding in my bat mobile, the ambulances were on strike and the army came to pick me up, I've painted this lol
