@TheJoe00007 Awesome comment mate, i left NZ with my three kids 3 months ago because we as a small buisiness were getting taxed beyond belief. we made no profit for the previous financial year but still had to pay a collective tax bill in excess of 150k. i dont mind paying tax but provisional, acc, gst, and all the other taxes we were hit with made it almost impossible to run a company in NZ, especially in a recession where there are no tax breaks or government incentives to aid small buisiness.

I’m stunned that 6.3 has almost leaved Christchurch yet the 7.1 last year was nowhere near to this.

@EmpireLS56KW The 7.1 was 30km from the city and 10km deep - yesterdays 6.3 was just 10km from the city and only 5km deep. I imagine the 7.1 and the constant aftershocks since left many of the buildings weakened and more susceptible to damage when the 6.3 hit.
