  • biggest shock of all fuck yea it was big made Septembers 7.1 its bitch

  • personally i would prefer a heartfelt speech which is not pre written, and delivered with so many errors.

  • @kylieskinner That would require sympathy and intelligence. He was more concerned about bailing out his buddys.

  • And in any case John Key has never been a businessman, he's been a currency trader and worked for Merrill Lynch. Not that any of that in any way reflects on his suitability to be a Prime minister nor his performance as such. Good on him if he's made a lot of money, what he's done previously or is like as a person is of no interest to me and why would it be? I'm only judging him as a politician and a prime minister.

  • ahh no matter who runz nz they all suck shit u get ripped off in tax and get nothing back... NZ is only good for a holiday and for its food...

  • @TheJoe00007 Yes and that Julia Gillard is just AWESOME. Oh and speaking of a country getting screwed by tax and only good for a holiday (if you like the beach...)

  • @TheJoe00007 Awesome comment mate, i left NZ with my three kids 3 months ago because we as a small buisiness were getting taxed beyond belief. we made no profit for the previous financial year but still had to pay a collective tax bill in excess of 150k. i dont mind paying tax but provisional, acc, gst, and all the other taxes we were hit with made it almost impossible to run a company in NZ, especially in a recession where there are no tax breaks or government incentives to aid small buisiness.

  • ahh no matter who runz nz they all suck shit u get ripped off in tax and get nothing back... NZ is only good for a holiday and for its food...

  • ahh no matter hu runz nz they all suk shit u give something and get nuthing bak...

  • Excellent speech, considering he gave it less than 24 hrs after quake struck. True leader...

  • @ferunk Are you for real? I hardly think it should take more than 20 minutes for a good statesman to write a decent speech, or do it off the cuff from salient points. And as far as I'm concerned this speech was DREADFUL, instead of giving us the sombre facts in a confident manner he mouths off something that sounds like it was written by a 4th former and filled with all sorts of jingoism and cliches. regardless of politics to me he is NOT decent Prime Minister material.

  • @truekiwijoker ... well suck it up wanker because this guy will be sitting in the top seat for as long as he wants to.... at least another 6 years. He simply has no opposition worth the name which explains his standing in the polls.

  • @kiwicalibre Hey thanks for the insult. Suck what up exactly? I'm not living in NZ so it's no loss to me if you vote this non-entity in as PM.

  • @truekiwijoker Oh well that explains it then... Clearly you are illiterate with regard to NZ politics and probably economics in general. I'm picking you're a lefty moron who knows only that JK leads a right of centre party. I don't live in NZ either but I used to and therefore know a lot more about politics there. JK is widely regarded as one of the best PM's NZ has ever had. Just because he doesn't read a teleprompter as well as your hero Obama means nothing much... he's doing the business

  • @kiwicalibre Well you've picked me wrong, but that's not surprising considering you're a Nat and probably some clueless yokel (hence the rudeness and the insults). I'm completely apolitical, and I'm pretty well versed in macroeconomics (something I doubt you have the first clue in). You'd have to be a member of the said National party to hold the delusion that this bozo is anywhere near a good PM, and you're probably ignorant enough to also count R.D. Muldoon as a great PM.

  • @truekiwijoker Again, SO predictably ignorant. If JK was half as bad as you make out he wouldn't be pushing 60% in popularity... such logic is lost on you socialist punks. And coming from Raetihi explains it all !

  • @kiwicalibre Hahaha when are you going to stop assuming I'm a socialist, or Obama lover or whatever? your understanding of the wider world's not looking too broad.

So by your logic you must think the former PM Helen Clark was amazing? she did poll for well over 60% popularity for more than 4 years. Didn't she? aw yeh DUH.

How stoopid is thinking public rating is a yardstick?

& while you're throwing these rather emotional personal attacks about, would you mind declaring where you're from then?

  • @truekiwijoker Helen was amazing... I freely admit that she was the most capable and effective PM for many years. Her politics was dreadful and the country may never recover from it but she sucked enough people in to operate for 9 years... the takes talent for sure. My point is that JK is equally talented but not in such a obvious manner. He has been able to use his guy next door image to great effect and he has become a formidable opponent to the left. Dont forget he ousted Helen.. thank god

  • @kiwicalibre What you're said doesn't even make sense, you immediately contradict yourself. You say Helen Clark's politics was dreadful, and then you credit how "she sucked enough people in to operate for 9 years".

    What

    a

    NODDY!

Did you even get school cert?

There is no way Key is the mastermind of his own success, he is clearly a front man or puppet for other interest groups. He can't even speak English properly, says the 9/11 highjackers carried bombs and calls Afghans; "Afghanistanians".

  • @truekiwijoker The common denominator with all JK haters is their uncontrollable, envy driven urge to poor scorn on successful business people . These are people who are distinguishable by their complete lack or either ability or accomplishment, with mediocrity oozing from every pore and who have absolutely nothing positive to offer the world and so occupy their pathetic lives by heaping shit on everyone they can find who, unlike themselves, have achieved something.

  • @kiwicalibre HAHAHA you make me laugh, you just can't hold back on the personal attacks can you? what a sad person. Yes the fact John Key is at best a mediocre prime minster who's done sweet fanny adams and is probably a closet homosexual is because I'm jealous of him. And me and everyone else who doesn't delude himself that's he's good must be mediocre and negative. Good one noddy [headpat].

With this sort of puerile and irrational behaviour I wonder if you're in love with him or something...

  • @kiwicalibre LMAO now NZ has its very own right wing, neo con, teabagging conservatives.

  • @kiwicalibre I've actually been mocked over coming from the country that elected what is clearly a complete lightweight as PM. Aside from prancing about on PR-serving appearances at this disaster and the Pike River tragedy, can you actually name one thing he's done that would put him in any category of a great PM? didn't think so.

I guess he has the appeal of someone clearly limited making it to the top like Muldoon, maybe why he advised victims to go to church and "share their experience". LOL.

  • john key sucks anyone that likes hims an idiot. He HAS to say shit like this....

  • John Key is the man... i feel for all of the Canterburians and any family members of those deceased... also hope all my family down there is okay.. mike, bridget, paul, tania, katelyn, connor, fraser and cameron.. all the best and hope ur all okay

  • Absolutely heartbreaking thing to happen to our little country. Stay strong Christchurch, you're in our thoughts <3

  • even so come LORD JESUS

  • super man where are you save those people!

  • FUCKIN HELL PETRA BAGUST IS FUCKIN UGLY!... BRING BACK PIPPA AND PAUL PLEASE!!! goddamn!

  • Ontario Canada sends love and hope ,stick together , stay strong ,

  • Great speech John Key. You really captured the feeling of what we the poeple of New Zealand are going through right now.

  • We Love you Christchurch, NZ.

Love and Prayers are sent out to you.

  • Where is any mention of God in all this?

I hear "nature" I hear "spirit" I hear "test" but "test" from Whom, and why?

    Something to think about!

  • @ASeedSower234 I noticed the same thing. It seems even goodwill has become politically correct.

  • @bored1980 Our National narrative doesn't involve religion as much as yours, thanks for your input though.

  • @wandarah You're very welcome.

  • @wandarah -Wether you think you Nation involves God or not is irrelivant, for God is God of all the earth my friend, and it is He who brings the earthquakes to shake the earth: Isaiah 29:6.Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

The Lord brings these things that men may look to Him, and acknowledge Him. May the Lord open the eyes of even a few in NZ before the end comes.

  • @ASeedSower234 Oh shut up you dribbling idiot.

  • i do agree on what you said. wandarah

  • @ASeedSower234 Not really. New Zealand is a secular country - and most of us are sane. Thanks for your input though.

  • @ASeedSower234

Hey, SeedSower, what kind of seed are you sowing? Cause it's sounds more like condemnation, than the

love that covers a multitude of sins. If your going to be so critical of the "world", maybe you should take the log out of your own eye, before trying to remove the splinter in another.

Love doesn't notice a suffered wrong.

    Love your neighbor as yourself.

Don't judge lest you be judge.

  • @ASeedSower234 technically religion and state are supposed to be separate.

  • @ASeedSower234 It's a test from nothing. It's just a test.

  • So sorry for all the loss and heartbreak caused by the earthquakes. Let us know how we may help. Thoughts and prayers sent to you from Seattle, WA, USA.

  • Hope sent from New Orleans!!!!

  • "Violent and ruthless act of nature." Give me a break. it's called Geology. Read a book.

  • @HexSpa Are you high?

  • I pray GOD to give patient to those who lost a loved one's.GOD be with you All.

  • The world is undoubtedly watching, and hoping, that this heartbreaking disaster is overcome and defeated. Hoping that as many lives as possible are saved. Hoping that you all stay strong at heart and mind through these times.

    Our hearts are with you.

  • Is this real? philipnute com

  • We're praying for the people of New Zealand in Illinois, USA

  • good luck with love from england :)

  • There's a concert going on soon in my County, all to raise money for the earthquake. We thinking of you! Good luck guys, from Wales! <3

  • john key is a piece of shit, no compasion in his voice, if he was a real man hed ditch the suit and help clean up, fuck him

  • @sublocal good point man

  • @sublocal If you've ever spoken with regards to a tragedy you would understand that the only way to retain composure is to remove all emotion from your voice and to be stoic. It's better that he doesn't break down in tears. But hey, we all have our opinions about others, don't we? Easy to judge when we are looking on from the sidelines.

There may be some of us not connected to Christchurch in any way at all; but that doesn't mean we have no heart or sympathy regarding this disaster. Peace.

  • Be strong Christchurch! Love from Cape Town, South Africa

  • @dylangerbs thanks we appreciate these comments :) it helps in some way no matter how small

  • Consequences of damage from this earthquake. The high-value and most severe in the past 80 years of New Zealand ever.

  • EVERYONE THERE IS A RETARD COMMENTING ON THESE VIDEOS SAYIN HE HOPES THEY ALL DIE TERRIBLY AND EVRYTHIN. HIS NAME IS THE ULTRA TROLL BUT ITS NOT SAID LIKE THAT , IF HE COMMENTS ON THIS REPORT HIM. LIKE SO EVRY 1 CAN SEE

  • Be strong Christchurch from all of us Aucklanders <3<3

  • It is very hard being in this situation!

I know that cause i survive the earthquake in Mexico City 1985 by a miracle...

I only have to say you're not alone, help will get to you from all over the world!

    Be strong...

    Good luck!

  • Bob Parker for PM.

  • Even though I live in kansas I was born in Napier, New Zealand. I do have an uncle who lives in Christchurch. The comments that I have read so far from people all over the world offering their support and praying my own people brings tears to my eyes its overwelming and makes me so happy to know that there are so many good people out there! really makes me think that no matter where you are you will always have whanau that will have your back so i just want to say thank you for your support!

  • lets not show the damage .. lets talk about it for fifteen minutes

  • @lkbhndu if you go to tvnewzealand's channel you'll be able to see the damage!

  • @lkbhndu

You only watched the video to see earthquake damage. You dick.

  • and thats it from me, By now.

  • Yes well folks watch as your Kiwi $ sinks into devaluation , our inflation goes up, let me ask you a simple question, all you who trust your didgets in the Bank, WILL your $ be worth more in 1 week? 1 month? sitting rotting in your Banks. Key is a fraud like they all are, secure yourselves and do not trust these winded tactics to gain prestige over suffering.

  • @bigmuso123 Oh shut the fuck up, honestly.

  • @bigmuso123 Your right

  • We are in the middle of chaos. The comments on this video made me sad. If the only complaint about his leadership is his sincerity on a rushed speech he is doing a fine job. However I must say I was disappointed in the media questions.

  • At least the Americans come to our aid and are helping us threw our time of need like all the other country's that have come to our aid needless to say they are putting them self in harms way with the search and rescue efforts we didn't ask for there help but they all offered there own men and woman to help us god bless all men and women and those county's that are helping =]

  • Here in italy we have just herd of this horrible news we are truly sad for all the casualties that this dreadful earthquake has taken from our allies New Zealand, wish we were able to help. but anyway Good luck and all the best from italy!

Viva la Nuova Zelanda! e l'italia!

  • at least we don't blow up our own buildings, then blame it on towlheads and invade other countries and steal their natural resources and kill unarmed civilians while making the rest of the nation watch GLEE!

  • @BrickUnit

shut the fuck up you idiot

  • @BrickUnit Never say Never.

  • god john stop talking shit!! we know your doing this to get votes.

  • True kiwi joker you need to go down to chch and get on your hands and knees and start digging. What meaningful contribution are you making to NZ society other than spewing rhetoric from your bedroom.

  • @anglesea9 I would if I could, why are you doing this? and are you going to ask the guy who threw the pro-national party rhetoric to do the same thing?

  • If the Lord exists and cares I'm sure he'd give his blessings, but if real world humans can afford it, they should perhaps send money to the NZ Red Cross, rather than prayers in the general direction of Christchurch. I'm sure good wishes and encouragement will of course be appreciated by the Cantabrians.

  • Oh bugger. Why do we need a *national* state of emergency? Great. Now I'm susceptible to arbitrary arrest even though I'm up in Auckland. A local state of emergency would not have in any way impeded the rescue, recovery, assessment and reconstruction in ChCh.

  • @LGD3 'National Emergency' isn't 'Martial Law'. Declaring a 'National Emergency', allows the Government to appropriate resources from around the country without restriction. It has nothing to do with your civil rights.

  • Regardless of what you think of him and his cue cards, they were written for Christchurch and contains a promise he will be heald accountable for if it doesn't happen. I think he is very genuine, Sending Love from England x

  • Very Touching speech,God bless you PM John Key and May the Lord help all the people of Christchurch.

    God rest all the victims.

    So sad :-(

  • christchurch is the skinhead capital of nz

  • Respects to ChCh, unfortunately I only clicked on this video to see people complain about things unrelated to the latest earthquake =(

  • @chiibiROXAS So did I.

  • Kia Kaha Christchurch!!! All us Kiwi's are with you!

  • John Key is a politician, what he said in that speech makes me content enough.

  • hang on i have friends there too folks, im just as shocked and concerned. all i am saying is ... well what i said, an insincere rant from him, its appalling to hear the droll, though most of it true it dies on his lips. Whos the A...hole??? He is an A...Hole, like it or not.

  • @bigmuso123 Whatever Best PM this Country has seen in an age, just imagine the hang wringing we would of got from that maggott HC, and how useless is Goff> people dislike him because he worked his arse of and made something of himself, and I believe that he is far more sincere than that dispassionate biatch we had before. Long Live John Key, Long Live The New King of New Zealand

  • @holmesdec1 What a loser, so typical of the Nats.

Do you know what? I wasn't going to say this in the interest of keeping politics out of this, but John Key's mannerisms and voice are exactly like this poofter who cut my hair as a kid. He'd sound just like him if his elocution wasn't so atrocious, he can't even speak English properly. And his dried-up wife is even more butch than Helen Clark.

Trust him to fill this important speech with cheap and shallow jingoism.

  • @bigmuso123 I agree, this is just a BS jingoistic speech full of cheap and witless verbosity. And the fact he's obviously looking down at the cue cards someone wrote for him shows just how insincere his poofy voice is.

What an embarrassment this clown is.

  • @truekiwijoker yeah he should just make it up on the spot aye, and make sense, aye, cos that was in the job description, be an amazing speech writer in realtime. Ur a dick i bet u couldnt even make a 3min speech in 5th form english

  • @justcausemaster You make me laugh. Well in the job description of national leader (in most countries) is writing your own speeches, something he obviously isn't even capable of. That's why he must be the only national leader who looks down at his cue cards, then again he's the only one who can't even speak his own language properly and string three words of it together off the cuff.

Nice to know you make dumb bets, and of course you can't even spell yourself. You must be in love with him.

  • @truekiwijoker dude it doesnt matter what politics key stands for. As a leader this is the rhetoric that the needs to be said....what and how would you deliver these messages? Its not a time for politics it is a time to reinforce solidarity, motivate, reassure and comfort...even if his voice sounds a tad poofy!

  • @MrTokelosh I would do what's appropriate and deliver the sombre facts in a calm and reassure manner and keep out the cheesy and embarrassing rhetoric about "the proud city of Christchurch" and "I'm proud to be a son of Christchurch blah blah blah". This speech sounds like it was written by a 4th former.

I didn't want to be political about this, but I DON'T like the way he's media-whored over this and Pike River and I took exception to some other guy getting political earlier.

  • @truekiwijoker fair point.

  • hang on i have friends there too folks, im just as shocked and concerned. all i am saying is ... well what i said, an insincere rant from him, its appalling to hear the droll, though most of it true it dies on his lips. Whos the A...hole???

  • @bigmuso123 They're Politicians mate

  • heart goes to all in the south island and christchurch god bless from Auckland

  • Fire, Cyclones floods and earthquakes

it is now clear that the avatar is in oceania

  • @dieherder i'd rather john key be pm than that liberal piece of shit goff.

  • The media is incredible! 75 people dead, 300 people still missing, Christchurch looks like a war zone and they piss and moan about money and sport! Priorities people!!!!

  • Well done Mr Key. Us here in Sydney know Christchurch WILL get back on its feet again and stand proud with dignity .

God Bless all you kiwi's at this hour.

  • @Pozillaify Yeah and dont forget Mine Disasters , Youse Aussies have had a shit time lately, we were in aus when the floods hit Brisbane then you had a cyclone and fires , thanks to Aus for sending thier help so quickly

  • @Pozillaify Thank you. And yes we are -from Ollie in NZ.

  • @Pozillaify Comment made my day.

  • @Pozillaify heck yeah us auzzies and NZ's are hard cunts!!! thanks mate!!!!

  • @Kiwigal84

    Haha, no problems.

  • @Pozillaify MUCH RESPECT!

  • love and good luck from Germany :(

  • I see the rah rah world cup gets mentions...I hope it gets cancelled.

  • @GanEdenAustralia Fuck you ass

  • @dieherder Oh yes and wikipedia is always correct and not subject to trololols

  • @dieherder WHats being Jewish got to do with it? There are good and evil Jews and gentiles!!

  • @dieherder bear in mind that the costs of this earthquake far exceed the devastating loss of life. Labelling him as not caring such is a horrible thing to say in the wake of what has happened.

  • such an unfeeling declaration, so insincere in his repose.

  • @bigmuso123 you do realise that ALL press conferences are the same right? They HAVE to make a response if they want to be seen as doing something, even if they don't give two shits.

However as a Kiwi I can tell you we may not look like we care but alot of us are worried for friends, family and loved ones we know or for others who are in chch.

    Stop being such a asshole

  • @bigmuso123 He is the primeminister of NZ. He has to act professional in his job. Just like the media

  • sad :(

  • That was some chilly images of the recent earthquake. I often chat to member on forum site who lives in Christchurch and haven’t heard from him yet on the forum I sure hope he made it though this mess of a carnage its heartbreaking.

I’m stunned that 6.3 has almost leaved Christchurch yet the 7.1 last year was nowhere near to this.

  • @EmpireLS56KW The 7.1 was 30km from the city and 10km deep - yesterdays 6.3 was just 10km from the city and only 5km deep. I imagine the 7.1 and the constant aftershocks since left many of the buildings weakened and more susceptible to damage when the 6.3 hit.

I hope you hear from your forum friend soon!

  • @astralmal Yeah someone else mentioned just what you did, I understand, cheers. I’m feeling despair at the moment as each day goes by now. I know New Zealand is ahead in time by 24 hours. I think the buildings in the last one was mildly weakened and this one was enough to bring it down like house of cards 

  • California sends Good luck " to NZ

  • @TheVMFA333 thanks mate!

  • @TheVMFA333 thnx means alot :)

  • @TheVMFA333 Im guessing you've experienced your fair share of earthquakes, But this is the biggest thing that has happened here since ive been alive.
