Also, they changd the trophy image (specifically the platinum one) in 2.41.

the reason u cant play music is because all games realised b4 the update dont have it installed

You need to wait a bit to see if the game developers feel like making patches for their games

so i downloaded 2.40 and my stuff works just fine. I really haven't tested any of the features out yet.. although when I quit out of VF5 the other night i saw the XMB and was like "woah"

My question is this: I'm scared shitless about PS3's bricking because of this update. But i've heard if you install it just fine then your good. When they release the "fixed" patch again, will i get a chance to download it over my existing update? (i'd simply like to have the best working version)

sony were only responsible for the in-game xmb overlay.its up to they game developers to patch the existing games to allow them custom sountracks.sony have said this from the start so i doubt the customers will be p***sd off.sony have provided the tools though it would be nice to have the custom music lets wait and see what the devs provide now...

its cus Microsoft (bastards) patented in game music being initiated by the OS so the only way sony can get around this is forcing individual games to run the music themselves.  This means ever single ps3 game except Warhawk to date will need a patch. So go buy warhawk and add me

the official sony video said that they were still working on it and the version he was using may not be the same as 2.40 wen it comes out but will be able to listen to music in a future update...he said it right around wen he was talking about music in part 1 of the 2 part video

sony cant just do it because microsoft own the rights in that area so basically we play the waiting game and wait for the developers to release updates to support the feature
