  • We had the old DEMUs where l was a driver in England, ours were from the 50s and based on the old BR MK1s mind.lt'd be good to see an 80 class preserved, they shouldn't go the way of the UTA 70s.l see yours had the old Westinghouse air pump like ours did,and obviously the same engines, but our cabs were completely different.

  • Thanks for the kind words Damocles. Glad you like the Class 80 set. Took me about a year and half to build, off and on. If anyone wants to re-skin it to the many different liveries this set wore up to current times, they are more than welcome to do so.

I will shortly begin making a CAF3000 and I have a Hunslett that should be released shortly.

    regards, Tony

  • @tcorken You're welcome this is great model with wonderful sound effects :) I didn't know you were on youtube :D As for the CAF3000 sounds awesome; it'll be quite a project :) It's nice of you to allow people to reskin this to the other liveries but if they distribute their reskin anywhere online ; they should definetely ask you first :) BTW what is the Hunslet; is it a steam engine? :)

  • so do i, think il be having a travel on those when i visit later in the year, thanks

  • @ts021ify BTW if you want to see them in their current colour scheme ; there's a link in the description to someone else's video showing the real thing in action :)

  • very nice, do these still run? if so do you know where i could get the info? i.e. diagrams?

  • @ts021ify I have no idea about Diagrams but yes from what I've gathered they still run but any still in service on the Northern Ireland Railways Network are now silver and blue to match the newer class 3000's :)

Wikipedia has information on these engines too :)

  • The class 80's are gradually being phased out by the newer engines which is why I hope some live to see preservation.

  • i found it thanks.

  • i cant find it on the download station. could send me a link please.

  • @mmcneill455 Did you tick all the trainz versions before performing the search?

  • Because there's no link I can give you as you have it to get it through the DLS search engine

  • what this called in the download station

  • @mmcneill455 What it says on the tin Class 80

  • Whoosh; how it purs! I really like how detailed the cab is...And that route looks really great! Is it the same one from TROB?

  • @KnapfordHarbour No it's a different route :) Indeed that Class 80 is a fine piece of work both in visuals and sound; I love the engine sound and I felt music would ruin the beautiful effect. I can't stop watching this and I'm the one that made the video.

  • I can't stop watching this and I'm the one that made this video! D:

  • what a beast o_o

  • @trainlover658 I know the ingame sound for this thing is fantastic beyond words ; you'd nearly think you were standing beside it :) It's very rare that sounds from a loco in trainz is as awesome as this :)

  • @Damocles178 it has simmeler engine noises to the "thumper" class units

  • :S

Funny, I was in Belfast once yet never saw these, I only saw the Slieve Gullion...barely :P

Heh if i ever travel in one of these i'll be sure to take some clips for ya ;)

  • @TheBlueE2 Mainly because these engines are slowly being withdrawn. Don't forget a lot of newer engines have taken over their duties. I hope it gets preserved what a beauty and a true growler! :D

  • Looks damn good, man
