Guys, can you tell me the name of this song? Cool vid. I think both Pokemon have their advantages, I mean Lugia can own Ho-oH with water types while Ho-oH can just kill with rock type move. DUH
Also I think this feuding between who is better should come to an end. Lugia and Ho-oh have the same base stat total 680. Lugia is faster and has better defense while Ho-oh has better attack and special attack. Both have equal special defense. When it comes down too it they are BOTH on equal footing not to mention that can both learn recover/roost.
Also I don't see a reason for them to be fighting they are not rivals but guardians.
@DayLaMike It's already been going down ever since the 2nd movie was made.... The 1st movie had a real story...a pokemon who tried to remember his past..., who tried to move on. All the other movies were either about two legendary pokemon fighting each other, or a bad guy who tried to rule the world by using a legendary pokemon....

But in him doing so he destroyed the birds homes and sent them into a frenzy all in order to get the ultimate prize lugia just for his collection. 3rd movie as I remember didn't really have a villian just a little girl who was lonely. That whole trend started at the 4th movie.

I've tested this and it turns both Reshiram and Ho-oh into decent Physical sweepers. Ho-oh is a lot more effective at this than Reshiram despite Reshiram having perfect neutral coverage with it's own STAB moves. Lugia still walls Ho-oh sadly :).

However, Lugia has Reflect and Light screen to sponge the damage. Lugia is considered one of the greatest walls in ubers, and Ho-oh isn't a wall breaker. Ho-oh is a sweeper, best used cleaning up a weakened team. Both Lugia and Ho-oh perform their roles incredibly well but the Lugia vs Ho-oh is nonsense. Lugia would outstall.

So... as long as Ho-Oh can withstand some special attacks(it's more popular or so i've heard) and get through lugia's defense, then it's ok. And... you do know thunder is a bad move right? Ho-Oh's Sattack is not too good. I'd recommend punishment. Highest it can go is.... around 200 for max power. If the opponent boosts lugia's stats, then it'd be ok.

@player12345ification My Ho-oh pwned a Lugia in a wi-fi battle like 2 weeks ago. Lugia knowing Hydro Pump and Ancient Power (no clue what other moves it knew, maybe Aeroblast because it's signature move). It only took 1 Sacred Fire to kill it (in case you are wondering how 1 Sacred Fire took it out if I know 2 of the opponent's moves, I used Protect first to see what that Lugia can do). So when it comes to Pokemon Battles there is no such thing as a true fact on who would win. Not ragging on ya.
ho oh has better stats but lugia can learn beasty water attacks. they are intended to be equal but really lugia would easily win. these 2 werent really meant for beasty battles tho they are more of symbolic legends stuff.

I think lugia is easier to get cuz you dont have to battle 5 times, all you have to do is find yhe right wirl island which was easy for me.

what if; Lugia and Ho-oh attacked each other using pysical moves, and they fused to make a new pokemon, and it made dark sides of Ho-oh and Lugia?
Would they;A:ruin the pokemon world B: make the pokemon world have no sense at all(example:Bidoof lv999 magikarp unbeatalbe etc)or C:claim terratories? more choices to come soon!!!

I like Lugia more... it's defense is way higher, it's faster + it can learn ancient power that is 4x to Ho-oh (even though it has high sp defense...)
