the most important thing u need is mentality, that's the main reason why people can't reach results like this. i have to be honest. i fucking hate fitness, it's boring and monotone. but i wan't to bo more muscled. i just don't feel like going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and do the same thing over and over again. i kickbox 2 or 3 times a week so i keep myself in shape. but i will never grow these muscles just because i have a lack of mentality. most people give up on doing this...

The gym is not everyones favorite place to be but everyone should be there for health alone. Agree with you though mental aspect is one of the most important parts of success

@SuperPeterJa If you hold two it would counteract/neutralize the resistance when straightening your back. A weight in your other hand would act like a counterweight on a old fashioned scale and make straightening your back easier. Only use one and switch sides.

@mmlacerte Well, my trainer has removed by now all fats from my diet, along with a nice dose of carbs. He doesn't even allow me to put bread in my sandwitches, hahaha (I eat turkey alone :( ).
It may be a bit draconian, but my belly is getting plain, and my side fat is already nearly gone :) (and that after around only a month of the diet). Can't argue with the results really...
mmm.... Even if it will make my muscles stronger, I wouldn't do laterals so much so that I can have a thin waist line and that will make my V-shape look even wider. For me frontal abs are enough to make that part look good. After all, that's what most people look at. Is like people who do pecs so much that they look like man boobs because they think that the bigger, the better. If you have round pecs, don't do that! You need to learn when to stop and what to do to get a nice athletic symmetry.

Hi Micah. Most people (from gym rats, experts or just your average Joe) say that an ab workout should include some kind of twisting motion to be considered complete. Do you do that on a different day, or is that dumbbell side raise enough?
@Apemanlant I used to but now I go into more of a bulk on the offseason, I never allow my bodyfat above 12% so I always have some sort of abs going on
@visceralguy This was about 4-6 weeks out from competing, on stage I came in far better conditioned.. Got down to about 3.5% bodyfat and won the Wbff World Championship. Diet and hard work, anything is doable

@joshwakbak3 I do very little cardio, I give myself 12 weeks to cut so all i do is change my diet throughout , cardio maybe 1 hour weekly of walking in the am, I cut all extra cardio 6 weeks out, im a ecto, so getting ripped is not tough, keeping the muscle is what is tough

Quick question, I've been doing Abripperx from P90x for the past 3 weeks, and i've gotten good results but i think i've plateaued. @visceralguy This was about 4-6 weeks out from competing, on stage I came in far better conditioned.. Got down to about 3.5% bodyfat and won the Wbff World Championship. Diet and hard work, anything is doable

@mmlacerte Plus, I don't know if I'm completely correct, but isn't it better not to go all the way to your chest? Because if you don't like you're doing right here, that will cause more tension on your muscles, thus creating a more intense and muscle building workout? Just a mere opinion of mine haha. Keep it up!

@joshwakbak3 I do very little cardio, I give myself 12 weeks to cut so all i do is change my diet throughout , cardio maybe 1 hour weekly of walking in the am, I cut all extra cardio 6 weeks out, im a ecto, so getting ripped is not tough, keeping the muscle is what is tough

@mmlacerte Thats Cool Just wondered. I am a ectomorph myself but trying to get leaner without losing muscle mass. Any tips in term of diet/ training? Normally weight train 4 times a week. No Cardio atm. Having 5 meals every 3-4 hours following 35%, 40%, 25% for Carbs, Protein and fats. Thanks again.

Quick question, I've been doing Abripperx from P90x for the past 3 weeks, and i've gotten good results but i think i've plateaued. But there is no other ab-workout in the p90x series, so should i just stick with the same Abripperx or find new exercises for Abs. I really liked all the ones you did in this video also.
