  • i love that ranger. she aint sticking around to help nobody. shes gone! "peace!"

  • Didn't they shut it down until they fixed it or is it back open?

  • @PhoneyJDOG2996 its closed, funding for repairs has been secured but it likely won't reopen for two years.

  • i was in school when this happened

  • Turds are great! But not as great as wieners!

  • Taru probably won't let Chrissy in there now

  • Gotta say, I was in the monument during the quake. I was on the bottom, however. And we heard that giant marble piece hit the bottom. I honestly thought that was the elevator hitting the ground. I'm lucky to be alive..

  • scary as fuck; someone from cali with EQ here and there. being inside a structure that is made of bricks is crazy. Brick buildings are stupid even small EQ will make them fall onto people.

  • im the kid with the blue hat pushin people out of the way. nbd.

  • What about the kid who pushes past the man with a small child @0:34 there's a winner.

  • @skipmurphey thats me, not kidding. thanks, im am a winner

  • i probably would have acted like george castanza pushing old women out of the way to get to the exit!

    kidding

  • Nice job it only took several weeks to get the video..

  • I know who caused this and maybe a slew of other devistating acts. It is in the heart of texas and in huge buildings. They are like a cult and they like to kill people. They are watching me and they know my masonic connections, how pitifull of these little losers. Look at their work in action.

I bet if they strike at me again. They will kill more people. Adictive to the fucn drug users and down syndrome fuc heads.

  • @Super01177 Care to make a little more sense?

  • Heh, it's an earthquake. A "Ranger" can't do anything to help you, the earth shakes and either you survive (99% of the time) or you die. Give the gal a break...it's the Earth, Planet Earth, shaking. Not a little fire, nor a security breach, but the crust of the orb we live on moving in ways we cannot predict nor react in any meaninful way.

Human nature is to run, that's what all the humans in the video did...

  • who says she was a "guard".

It is most likely that a "ranger" in that location was a "interpretive" ranger not a "visitor protection" ranger.

One gives out brochures, gives talks and answers questions (and was likely fresh out of college), and the other is sworn with protecting life, safety and property.

  • As a security officer I must say that yes she is an unfit officer. By just running away like that she is not doing the main purpose of her job. Witch is the protection on human life (Other human life)

  • @tankatraue I applaud the woman for getting showing the visitors the way out; and returning back to insure all were out. She did NOT run away; look around and you will find more information on her actions.

  • If you go to NPS-gov website, you can see the full video, with a caption that lauds the actions of this ranger. In it, we see 2 minutes leading up to the earthquake. She sends a text message, picks stuff out of her ear (twice), smells her fingers, looks at her watch, glances around bored, scratches her head... The the quake starts (where this video starts), she looks up at the camera, like "duh!", people mob past her while she exits the fame, and then we see her tearing down the stairs.

  • Cblue22 did you not read my entire post or maybe you only have selective listening: the reading version... But I did state that I am a firefighter, an EMT, AND I work security... I have done so in numerous locations and at every one of them the guard is told "first in, last out" and while no I have never been in a tower in Washington dc that was being hit by an earthquake, I have been in a bank that has been robbed at gunpoint.... Gone into numerous buildings that were on fire.... And never onc

  • @qwerty104

okay, then its agreed that that protocol varies from location and situation. so, you can't know her protocol and you're making her out to be an unfit employee based on an assumption of what you think she should be doing. leave her alone and be thankful that people got out of there safe. and again, congratulations on patting yourself on the back. although, your credentials do not pertain to this argument. (you go over the # of characters, so i can't read your entire post)

  • Nice Security Officer leaving b4 everyone else.."Feet don't fail me now!!!"

  • @academicroach

yea, sorry that comment was meant for the qwerty104 person...

    sorry.

  • Yikes!

  • I love how the guard was one of the first down the stairs... She should have stayed back to help move people along... In another video of this it looks like someone gets knocked down before she heads down the stairs and the guy with the hat stops to help him...I get that it was scary, but part of your job as a guard is to man (woman?) your station and make sure everyone else gets out then you yourself escapes...

And I'm an emt/firefighter/guard as a professional so I do have experience with si

  • @qwerty104 100% Correct bud--------> The 1 day you finally get to serve your duty and..........***Puff*** outta here.

  • @954CHISEL

seriously? you have no idea what that person's responsibilities are. and are you saying that every day that something catastrophic doesn't happen, that person isn't serving their duty? you're a simple minded fool if you feel 100% about something where the only thing you have to base any opinion on is a couple second recording of an event.

  • @qwerty104 Maybe she raced to the kitchen because she thought the sandwiches she was making would catch on fire.

  • So weird, I was nearer the epicenter than DC and it was just a wobble sensation.

  • holy shit. that was intense!

  • I would have been shitting bricks!

  • Not bad for a structure built in the 19th century.

  • If you think that is crazy just wait a few more weeks ;p

  • @TheArcaneSanctum enlighten us.

  • Our founding fathers trying to wake us up to the corruption in our supposed free country perhaps?

  • Reminds me of a certain John Cougar song.

  • Where did the guy with the hat go? He ran down the stairs and then came back up.

  • all of them were probably thinking

    "terrorist attack!!"

  • first

  • @TomFuIp and ur the only one
