We did hit the top of the mountain, and you could hear the ball hit. As it flew through the air, the air on the holes made a warbling sound. The shot not filmed was with 1.5 pounds of powder--- it lifted the wheels more than a foot off the ground and bent the tounge of the trailer. The ball went over a the top of the mountain

Okay... I just found this video. That was me in the cowboy hat lighting that thing.

Here are the facts: it was just outside of Frenchtown MT. That thing was made out of an old hydrolic cylinder by a man in the area. We did indeed use one pound of godex powder, packaged in nitrated newspaper. A fuse was attached to the packet, attached to a piece of wire fed from the torch hole up the barrel and pulled back through. it was aimed at a mountain nearby, the top of which was one mile away.

@Ironfootx:I WAS there and I loaded the cannon. First shot, which was on the news was 3/4 # of godex black powder, second shot (the one in the video) was 1 #, third shot was 1 1/2 # and bent the trailer. Note: the side walls of the cylinder were about 5 inches thick.

This was froma Hammer-In in August, 2008. We had about 1 pound of Black Powder. The ball was not seen, but some people heard the second shot (Not Recorded) hit the ground about 1 Mile away. What do you think?
