Heard this on the radio today. Thank goodness I was tuning in via the TV and there was the info displayed, I probably wouldn't have guessed it was Satch.
This song escaped me for a while, back when i was in grade 5 and thought limewire was the coolest thing ever i'd downloaded a piece of music simply called "joe satriani" for the past two years i've been trying to find out what the bloody song was, i'd been beginning to doubt whether or not it even was a joe satriani song, but i've finally found it. Feels good man.
@tekkentool Way to keep up the search. Its always satisfying to find the answer. I've had a couple techno/trance songs like that. Finally found out it was "Sandstorm" by Darude. Everybody knows it but rarely know the name of it.
Legendary, love it since I listen this tune watchin Super Mario Bros the Movie. Moreover, CINEMA REVIEWERS DON'T UNDERSTAND NOTHING, THEY'RE ONLY A BUNCH OF IDIOTS! In the early '90s this movie represents a Legend for everyone in that period was a kid or a teenager! It's not a wrong film! It only describes a different universe of Mario, a fantasy/futuristic/cyberpunk version.
Great track from a great artist. This sort of stuff is what I like to hear from Satch the most. The albums by him that I have in my collection have too much slow stuff in them. You could say the subtleties contained in these other songs and instrumentals are lost on me and you'd be right but that would be my fault, not Joe's.
this song was in the 1994 film"the super mario movie". the song is at the part with mario and the manhaten girls fleeing from the gombas down the froozen pipes before crashing into king koopa.
I remember I bought the cassette of the soundtrack back then and this track was the first track on side B lol! and OMGGG I was hiiighh! I would have my headphones o full blast! I would listen to it over and over and I still do ;D!
Liked the part between 1:36-1:42

Per chi guardando il film di Super Mario Bros si fosse sempre chiesto (e non avesse mai cercato) di chi fosse la musica nei titoli di coda... :)

This song is simply awesome. It evokes feelings of cheesy nostalgia coupled with some lighthearted action style beats. Thoroughly recommended.

I agree, that movie rocks despite its loosely based on the videogame. Movie critics are idiots.
