  • Uhhh... Why are pichu's cheeks white??? (in the title[???] screen; that cheek is supposed to be red) And is that a pink wooper on the left!? (same place) That's my first clue that the piraters did not take a damn in making this hack to make it good... I rest my case.

  • The battle music is wrong Pirates you are n00bs >_>

  • ._. ...Why does this exist?

  • at least its better than pokemon red for nes :/

  • These Pokemon are severly underleveled...

  • They say when someone goes through you, it results in you getting laid.

  • The American gold is waywaywaywaywaywayWAY better then this piece of crap

  • I seriously admit the graphics are pretty cool but the music :\ WTF?!?!?

  • @Guitarist500

The graphics are cool because they're ripped directly from Pokemon Gold.

  • oh god, that music, that horrible horrible music, it makes my ears bleed, could they have not just took the music from the other games, or better yet, introduced something not as ear thumping as this trash we have to endure,.

  • when i play this pirated game, thirty minutes later i fall sick (literally)

  • Quote from AllieRX87: "Why does the music sound like a 80-year old lady having an orgasm!?"

  • @fl21id LOL!

  • why is everyone gary?

  • I like how characters go through text boxes.

  • You know, you *can* hit the white keys as well as the black keys on the board. If you want.

  • This music .... is beautiful!!!!!

  • I'm amused that the game rips graphics from the original game, but leaves the music alone. It would have taken some effort to do so (different sound chips), but they're not alien to one another.

And, I'm fairly certain the GBC and NES store background graphics mirrored from each other, so it's not like ripping the graphics was easy either.

  • The music that plays in your house makes me think Missingo is coming to eat my soul and make me restart life...yeah I had that nightmare when I was a kid once.

  • so i understand that some company called Waixing or Mars is creating NES ports of popular games. thing is, why are they always called pirated? and why are they doing ports in the first place? and why for the NES? that console went out of style in the 80's...

  • @windwaker1994 Not in china, apparently....

  • When the mom is walking away from you it looks like she is dancing.

    0:51

  • Oh, that's awful - this was actually sold in stores?! 'Cause I can kind of imagine being a poor kid getting this for a birthday instead of the real game xD So sad!

  • Are there only 3 pieces of music in this game?

  • I think so.

  • @randomname349 Actually 4 if you count the title screen.

  • I love the 'Indoors' music so much.

  • If Pokemon would have been like this, it wouldn't exist by now. Wow, i'm trying hard to keep watching. If it weren't for the annotations, i would be watching something less...IRRITATING! Come on, 70% of the NPCs are Gary and Prof. Oak for crying out loud!

  • So...many...primary....colours....brain...shutting...down...

  • *puts paws over ears*

    MY EARS. MY BEAUTIFUL EARS!!!

  • This is really making me want to have heartgold / soulsilver right now

  • Oh really? :P

  • I think my brain just got a B.S.O.D. (Blue Screen Of Death)

  • I hope your brain made a restore point because there no turning back.

  • Uh oh! Time for brain drive erase! O.O

  • @DT170x Don't worry, GLaDOS has me covered.

  • When you meet the 'Oak twins', the second one looks like he's wearing a skirt or something when he walks toward you. If you look at his feet it's kinda swishy swishy.

  • Ugh this game sound so ear raping terribly awful, there is only one way to end it, * grabs shotgun and blow self brains out.*

  • This doesn't make since really. Pokemon Green came out in Japan in 1996 and somehow Gold was pirated into NES? Ah..continuity errors you never dissapoint.

  • Probably because there are still companies who make games for the NES in China and such. There are lots of games made way after NES was done. I think there's even a Little Nemo game floating around somewhere. :P

  • Little Nemo for the NES? Never saw that coming D:

  • lol, idk if it exists, I heard my friend talk about it a while back :P

  • Only the game saying its name backwards can send it back to the fifth dimension where it velongs.

  • Ughhhh, what a Putrid excuse for a Pokemon Pirate! It's horrible, even by pirate standards, and that's saying a lot.

Right now, I feel a desire to let my LV.100 Blaziken Fire Punch the cartridge back to the Seventh Circle of Hell from which it emerged = P

  • I'll have my own throw a Blaze Kick in it's direction as well. xD

  • "Brass" Tower?

  • Sorry, I forgot the name of the tower. Haven't played Pokemon Gold (the real one) for years...

  • Wow you walk fast as fuck in this game.

  • (music plays)

    KILL ME

  • The indoors music makes me laugh.

  • ARGH, EAR RAPE!

  • Why is Red's sprite there instead of Gold's?

  • I think it's funny that you can actually run in this pirate, as the actual Pokemon Gold and the other games for the GameBoy wouldn't let you run at all until Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire.

  • I love when your rival use the escape rope xD

  • Maybe the trainers abused their pokemon lol

  • Is there any way to catch Poke'mon in this game? It might've helped with Totodile running out of PP all the time, but then you probably would've just had a Weedle along with him... I've also heard of PKMN getting glitched up in the PC... yeah this game sucks.

  • There might be a way like in the original games but I didn't bother doing that.

  • According to Derrick Sobodash at CinnamonPirate, Mars is a company that was founded to publish the games that were *too bad for Waixing*.

Just... think about that for a second...

  • If that's Mars, then wouldn't that mean Union Bond made the games that they published?

  • That is at least what the above-mentioned blogger assumes, anyway.

  • 02:31 Professor Oak looks like he's being copied by Doppelganger or more like "Other Professor".

  • The NES is only capable of having up to 25 colors at once.

  • 9:07 someone call in an exorcist (I think thats its spelled)

  • It would be funny in a way if somebody did a pirate of counter-strike for famicom.

  • ... You have a lot of patience and courage to be able to show all this... Without suffocating from the horrible music.

  • I actually did suffocate from it. It gave me a headache. Honestly :(

  • I can actually see why :O

  • God, the battle music is pretty terrible.

Its just so fast-beat and hard to keep up with...

thats why I think its giving me a headache like everyone else >_>...

  • The battle music isn't THAT bad, at least it has some sort of beat to it...

  • Please tell me you're joking.

  • Uh... No... The outside music is random notes, while the battle music, although somewhat annoying, has a beat to it.

  • Well... the outside music has a rhythm. I REMIXED it.

  • DEAR LORD THE MUSIC!!!

  • I'll be completely honest: I was wearing earplugs during the battle music, and my ears STILL hurt. Geez...

  • Guess what? My head hurts after hearing the battle music :(

  • THE MUSIC IS SO FREAKIN' ANNOYING GOD!!!

    My ears are bleeding...

  • I've never played this, but I've played Pokemon Yellow on the NES. Good music, good graphics, okay gameplay. You can tell it's a pirated hack with Pikachu's face slapped on the main character's head for that reason.

  • I thought you were talking about Pokemon Yellow made by Shenzhen Nanjing.

  • This game was challenging for me to overcome several glitches, like the Orange Ash at the Lake house, the Mahogany blackout, the overpowered deadgame, and many more glitches...

  • About the title screen... why is Wooper pink?

  • Because Waixing has no idea how to make a good game and port (steal) things properly.

  • Ain't that the truth. :V

  • shiny?

  • Seems they did a good job ripping off pokemon gold, most pirate game developers can't even be motivated to do anything other than a crappy sprite and pallet change.

  • At least the Pokemon Red for NES had good music; it was classical compositions :P

Could you make another video of the Minish Cap NES pirate soon? This one reminded me, being Chinese.

  • Maybe, but I've forgotten it's Chinese name.

  • I just found it still in one of my playlists!! (video unavailable)

Pirate ROM Hunt #109: Zelda - Shen Qi De Mao Zi

  • OMG, this game sucks man... 5 stars!
