You're so right! I can hear how "Wanna be Starting Something" is influenced by this. That song is one of MJ's best!

Also, Manu Dibango's Soul Makossa blew me away when I first heard it in '72. So fine.

Do you recall the old Gordy Record Label from the 60s (or if you're younger have you ever seen one?) The label has a saying "it's what's in the grooves that counts," and that says it all!
