@Matriculon Johnny is one of the fastist dudes in Marvel. Spiderman isn't that fast he's just a little faster then a normle person. I do think spiderman could because he beat ghost rider. Johnny out powers him alot up hill fight. Who ever has the plot shield wins lol. But Spiderman wins untill Johnny comes back to life.

Tough call??? Spider-Man would win so easily. Dude, Johnny has all those nice flames and shit, but he has neither increased resistance nor Superhuman strength or speed like Spidey has. All Johnny does is through fireball, through fireballs and, guess what: yes. Fireballs. One smooth punch from Spidey and he's out. It'd hit Johnny so fast, Spidey wouldn't even feel the heat.

@burntoastvideos Human Torch is a comic book character so unlike real life he doesn't burn when he is covered with fire, getting bite by a spider is also counter productive in a fight also especially if it is a black widow or a brown reclusive which have venom that can kill.

Spidey wins hands down, he is smart and more agile than torch and torch is more of a brute force kind of hero, plus it would only take a few quick punches to knock him out, worst case scenerio Spidey burns his fists or his feet, either way he would win.

Power-wise, Human Torch should be able to fry Spidey. But if power alone determined the battle, then Electro, Sandman, Hydro-Man, and Molten Man should've been able to kill Peter a looong time ago, since they also have elemental powers. Electro has enough power to fry the whole city and Molten Man is also a heat-based villain yet Spidey always outsmarts them and beats them. It's not unreasonable to think he could also defeat Johnny.

But I'll say winning percentage wise, human torch definitely has the edge, I say 70%-30% in favor of the human torch..

Spiderman already defeated the torch in one of their first meetings by out maneuvering him, ripping off a fire hydrant dousing the torch and extinguishing his flame rendering him completely helpless. Also as previously mention he annihilated fire lord who is torch on pcp.......

@bigsnakedaddy He was powered up with cosmic power when he beat Fire Lord so that doesn't even count. Normal situation Fire Lord would stomp Spiderman. Torch isn't as powerful as Fire Lord but is more powerful than Spiderman however Spiderman is more clever and has beaten him in the past over time Torch's knowledge has improved and cockiness has decreased so Torch could win but is not a given.Most of Spiderman's foes Torch could beat easily such as Vulture or Doc Ock.Goblin might be hard though.

@hydrolito Uhh, I think you really should go back and read the Spider Man/Firelord fight from the 80's onec more, because Spidey was NOT powered up with cosmic power when he fought Firelord. Spider Man did briefly possess the Uni-Power/Enigma Force when he had been chosen to be the next Captain Universe and fought Goliath, the Hulk, and Magneto, but that happened much later. When Peter fought Firelord he was at his normal strength, so it was an honest fight and it DOES count!

@44excalibur Spiderman beating the Hulk I recall was from the 60's not the 80's might have more than once though. They sometimes do stories out of sequence and the way I recall reading the story where he fought Firelord he was capable of more than he would usually be without uni-power. Spiderman fought Wasp and Giantman who grew to 12 feet tall at time but it was a draw with no clear winner, also from the 60's. What version of Goliath did he beat 12 foot or Skyscrapper size?

@hydrolito Okay, the hulk that Spider Man defeated while while having the Uni-Power was the grey-skinned version who could talk normally and was in living in Las Vegas going by the name Mr. Fixit. The Goliath that Spider Man fought while having the Uni-Power was NOT Hank Pym. Hank had given up his constumed identities at the time and was instead using the Pym Particles to shrink and grow objects OTHER than himself. The Goliath Spider Man fought was the 100 ft. ionic-powered villain Erik Josten.

@hydrolito Now, the issue where Spider Man defeated Firelord was Amazing Spider Man #270. In this issue Peter is still wearing the black-and-white uniform that Felicia Hardy made for him that was identical to the alien symbiote costume. When Peter got the Uni-Power years later he was back in his red-and-blue uniform. So when Spider Man fought Firelord he was at his normal power level, so it DOES count.

@bigsnakedaddy In early stories fire hydrant or water tower might work on Torch in one story Torch could burn under the ocean and helpped the Submariner beat a villain trying to take over Atlantis. Torch and Spiderman are good friends and wouldn't normaly fight so would have to be tricked into fighting each other or something as sometimes happens in the stories.
