  • Haha wow shadow AND sunlight glare

  • horrible desing

  • But will it blend???

  • @srinagn LOL! You're right, I thought about that as soon as I heard his voice.

  • And then there was Ipad...

  • Why do we need this?

You can get portable 7 in screen laptops which can do all of this & more.

    Isn't this just duplicity?

  • because you want things that are easier to carry instead of having to have a bag to carry a large laptop in.

  • Yes, but it takes time to fold it up, & it will probably wear the screen & hardware out much faster over time having to roll/unroll things out.

    Why bother?

  • it uses less power. one charge holding 30 hours when changing page every 10 or 20 seconds..

Much smaller... again but it doesnt take much time to fold up its just rolled around the main boxy thingy.

  • It is so compact and fast. The fastest I've ever seen. It's the best so far(for me). You can take your books in your pocket, not in your bag like kindle and sony e reader. And you don't need to wait for days for next page.

  • thats what she said

  • And then there was the Kindle.

  • dude this looks so much better than the kindle!! compact and sexy... not huge and ugly like the kindle lol

  • Cannabis makes you think don't it? :D

  • Wait till electrowetting-displays comes to market. Full color 300 fps displays. No backlight. Perfect viewable in direct sunlight. Also a development from Holland. (Google Liquavista)

  • I wait, the Kindle is here now.

  • i want one!

  • Very nice, and especially good since it uses power only to change the image, not to maintain it. Like a normal page, not backlit. There should be a back light but there should bee the option to turn it off.

Of course the main problem with these displays is that they are very slow to refresh so you can forget watching a 30 frames per second video on it as this can do about 1 frame per second. Give it a few years, or wait for organic led technology.

  • eInk cannot be backlit, since it's opaque. They are working on a frontlit solution using another layer on top. I have to wonder if the added thickness would conflict with the flexibility though.

The major limitation with OLED is that it has terrible contrast in daylight. The technology is "emissive" (pixels produce light directly, rather than reflecting like eInk or modulating like LCD), and generally doesn't have the "power" to compete with the sun's sheer ambiance.

  • Yesh!!! Shmoke and a pancake?!

  • dewd - Massive screens all up in ur pockets... I heart that..

  • Lol, netherlands...

  • noticed that too.. it's so obvious in the accent, he must be dutch

  • the ppl who made this are smart

  • Spring BRanch Communications has phones like this visit our online super store at sbcs dot biz business is in wirelesss accesories for all your phones here.

  • jesus, "I see he's from Holland, i know, because his accent suuucks" That may be, but we still invented this!!

  • straight out of a stargate sg1 episode...

  • wweeeiiirrrdddd

  • no, not primative oled technology. Oled is organic light emitting diode. Key word Light emitting. This uses electronic ink, in which unlike lcds and oleds uses marcomolecules that show when charged and retain that position. So, when a oled display is turned off, everything is gone, when e-ink is truned off, image remaisn... Jesus..

  • thats just primative OLED technology right?

  • Wow, it seriously is like an EFC global. Awsome!

  • I'm Dutch too and although most people in the north have strong accents, we all speak english and mostly at least one other language, like greman, french, spanish, whatever. So before you start bitching about accents, you might want to ask yourself how many languages you speak! .. Bernhard was ook mijn opa!

  • Hehe, they misspelled "Calendar" as "Calender"

  • i want this, or else...

by the way - i think more than 90 percent of the Dutch know a different language - mostly even 2. how about you?

  • i have one of those my friend stole 4 from dis place in germany

  • WTF???AWESOME!!! WOW!! all that long on a single charge?? It folds yup and doesnt ruin the screen..OMG that is amazing!!!

  • i had a tutor who worked on this kind of technology. within years, we'll be able to roll up a tv and tuck in into our pockets!

  • lol that man is from holland, i reconize his bad english

  • LOL.. what u said just made my day <3 happy valentine

  • well atleast the dutch make an effort to learn another language unlike the english and the french

  • Don't compare us Brits to the French, we have to learn one language at school. Compulsory.

  • i hope you all feel stupid for arguing about this

  • But arguing is fun XD

  • not rely nd its not arguing but talking, i hope u feel stupid for opening ur mouth where its not needed

  • What are you talking about morron? Do you even know what french are? You are watching tv too much, just shut the hell up, loser.

  • Don't you mean recoGnize?? talk about your bad english

  • LOL im from holland too bitch, thats why i recoGnize it

  • Good boy!

  • thanks.. ( lol )
